So I submitted a Steam support ticket earlier today because my password wouldn't work. Steam finally answered my support ticket and according to the guy who helped me, my account got hacked. This is f*cking ridiculous. My account got hacked for a second time.

This is why all of these protection ideas against piracy enforced by gaming companies end up buttf*cking the legitimate consumer in the end. I sustain the idea that games should be released with no DRM. It doesn't do anything. The only game that I have seen that hackers can't seem to hack is Battefield: Bad Company 2. The game was released in February and hackers have yet to release a working patch (yes, I do keep track of this stuff).

 

I know warez isn't allowed here, but to prove my point, I downloaded the torrented version of this game to see if it would work. Not only did it work offline, but apparently hackers created a program called "AlterIWNet," which is a special version of IWNet set up by hackers that bypasses Steam. This allows you to play online, too. Aside from keeping track of official stats and not allowing you to invite friends, it works just as well as IWNet. Actually, it works better; hosts are allowed to kick or ban people who use aimbots, speedhacks, and wallhacks. However, after checking this, I have since deleted it from my computer.

 

Back on the original topic: This game, while frustrating, is still fun. Playing with friends really adds some new life to the game, especially in Private Matches. Even though I'm 10th Prestige Level 70, I still enjoy finishing challenges and getting new callsigns and emblems.

 

EDIT: I do not promote piracy in any way. Piracy is wrong and hurts the game developers who spent a lot of time and effort with what they do. Please purchase all games and applications you intend to use unless otherwise stated by the developer. Yes, I am trying not to get in trouble for indirectly discussing warez.

I've been running in to a lot of hacked lobbies lately where you don't actually reload when you reload. Like the gun reloads the bullets, but your hand doesn't do the motion it's automatic. It kinda f*cks you up!

I literally noticed it today and i've had the game since its release. What is a blast shield? I assume it shields you from a blast. I would go try it but cbf

You press the same button you'd use to throw a grenade to equip it. When equipped, you've got extra resistance to explosive damage. Be warned though, it cut's off part of the screen including the map. However one could easily just turn it on and off. Works great with shield classes, especially when people stick you with Semtex and you don't die.

Why don't you try it out yourself? It's the same key you use for your equpment/grenades. Just use it and the 'blast shields' get activated (it narrows your view, removes your UAV/RADAR but you'll get less explosive damage).

Blackshield sucks unless your up against a bunch of fruiters who are all using n00b tubes. Sorta like when you end up playing team deathmatch on rust (or any other game type on rust I guess).

its not the ideal equipment but it saved me from predator spash damage and claymore's on occasion and if im being a douche with my DC class it comes in handy.

 

Does anyone know how to get that spinning 10th prestige emblem Legit? ive seen many people with it and i naturally assume they hacked or got in a lobby.

It isn't all that useful as a whole. Grenades/Semtex can be used in any situation; Blast Shield can't. It's a waste of equipment IMO.

YOU CANT GET THE TENTH EMBLEM LEGITLY. Its reserved for iw ward employees and you can only hack to get it. I also heard something that all people that have it are gonna be banned when the 3rd map pack comes out or something like that.

Plus today i havent seen a 10th prestige guy AT ALL. Maybe today was the day they got banned (on xbl). Plus my friend was banned so...

Got my silver skull intervention title today Was so happy to have finally earned it legit, why people would boost for a title i dont know! I felt i really accomplished something

A little while ago, I got the best ending comeback. There was 5 seconds left on the clock and I got a kill from a guy in last stand and then I shot this guy to finish the game. There were 5 guys including me that were tied for first and I won. It was epic because of the last stand guy.

Anyhow, my days of MW2 are about to come to an end it seems. I'm about to start uni in a week or so, so I'm not gonna have much time for MW2 at uni, plus all I'm gonna have there is my laptop.
