I'd prefer to staple my eyeballs to a telephone book and throw it out of a window than play shipment. Small maps + COD = f*ck off.

I seem to be the only one that f*cking hates Headquarters Pro, does anybody else feel this way? They last way too f*cking long for my tastes, and usually the people on my team just say "f*ck the HQ, I'm trying to get Killstreaks >" and just camp places and snipe.

You might be in luck. Apparently the official MW2 Facebook page states that the map pack will include some CoD4 maps, although it doesn't say which, however this just makes the 'leaked' videos seem more real.

Let's just say expect a video in 1-2 weeks. Not from me but anyway here are the full contents

(7 maps, 4 old 3 new)

 

COD 4 Maps

- crash (best map here IMO, not much change, but there are many more places to jump and hide, very good for Search and Destroy this time)(ghillie: urban)

 

-overgrown(best map in graphics, many more places to avoid snipers, balancing the map very well.Found an new building in very back of map with a roof you can get on, can go under bridge easier now)(ghillie: Woodland)

 

-vacant(don't know why this is back but there is now an extra story in every building, very big map now, get ready for sniping here, best map in whole game for Domination or Search)(ghillie: urban)

 

-shipment(most changed map so far, 2x as big in width with more crates and way better respawn, AC130 or airstrikes won't destroy all of map, more cover near outside of map, think size as big as Rust but not as tall)(ghillie: Woodland)

 

(all have been remade, but not by a whole lot.Graphics are amazingly updated)

 

 

New maps

-storm (rainy, dark, close quarters, surprisingly large amounts of rooms and good for camping but is balanced)(ghillie: urban)

 

-Complex (very large 3-5 story buildings between two streets with a bridge and a parking lot, good for sniping - close combat "all combat ranges and styles") (Gillie: urban)

 

-Compact (snow map, as big as rust, lots of trash piles and buildings, trash compacting area is the main fighting zone)

 

(all maps are great, best is definitely complex, you can tell they worked on this one for a long time)

1 new camouflage (yep, gold for each section of gun (excluding riot shield and launchers) like COD4)

guns with gold camouflage are:

- AK - 47

- P90

- RPD

- Intervention

- PP2000

- Striker

- Desert Eagle

 

needed to unlock golden camouflage:

- buy Map Pack 1

- 3000 kills with weapons, 300 head shots with weapons (all weapons in that category)

(example: to get golden p90 get 300 kills with all sub-machine guns and 300 headhsots with all sub-machine guns)

 

Also play list update scheduled for march 30th

i'm not going to say what they are because I don't even know but when I do I'm not going to post it, let's keep these a suprise.

 

no new guns or perks they weren't found in the package.

and IMO the golden camouflage looks like everyone will be boosting for it because of how hard it is to get

Probably 1200 (XBL) points, because Amazon put up a MW2 'special edition' 1200 points card, similar to the TLAD card. No idea how much that translates into for other platforms though/

On the topic of sniper rifles, does anyone here use the Barrett .50 Cal? I tried it out when I first started playing the game and didn't like it, but I started using it recently and I love it. It's a shame because I never see anyone else using it. It has the power of the Intervention which means one hit kills in the chest area, and it's semi-automatic like the M-21 EBR so if you miss, you can fire again right away. It's awesome.

Thats why i usually use the Barret over the Intervention, both have the same damage.

But where as the Intervention does have better accuracy, the barret is semi automatic, so if you do mess up your first shot, you can fire again really quickly.

 

However im using the Intervention now, ALOT better for quick scoping.

With that rumoured list of stuff for the Stimulus Pack or whatever it's gonna be called, i think they could totally do a golden Launcher weapon, just remove headshots and add in multi-kills in its place and then make the Golden Weapon you get be the RPG-7. That would be f*cking awesome running around with a shiny Gold RPG blowing people the f*ck up.

I prefer the Barrett to the Intervention, but the WA2000 is prob my favorite of them all. I don't snipe much though.

 

And after not getting a single nuke in any of my first 5 prestiges, I just got 3 in the last 2 days. I kinda feel dirty though, I only pulled them off by OMA tubing.

Me too, what's your Killstreak set-up? Mine at the moment is Predator Missile > Harrier Airstrike > Chopper Gunner/AC-130 (depends how I feel). And no, I'm not putting on the nuke because I still need some practice before I'll even come close.

I use both with an Acog scope. I really hate the intervention.

Yeah man. The WA2000 with the acog is ace. You don't even need stopping power with it.

Sure...I just have my PC and my xbox running in my gameroom/bar basement with only one ethernet wire running down here. The little laptop hooked up to the TV has WiFi but my desktop doesnt so I have to disconnect and run it back across the ceiling tiles. Takes about 5 minutes to do but I have just been too f*cking lazy or working on my Jeep or Shadow.

 

I will get it hooked up tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a modded game. Are you telling me you've never noticed the people who fire the clip of an FAL in 1 second or less? Modded controllers (used to be known as Turbo Controllers before online multiplayer) are a problem too. I've mostly noticed it in Free-for-All.

I believe you can't use modded controllers in MW2. There's a limit to the ROF.
