What is the best killstreak setup for a nuke and what are the best ways to get a nuke.

Harrier > Chopper > Nuke

 

Kill 7 people. Get harrier. Maybe switch to a Cold-Blooded class if you're using OMA. Wait for the Harrier to make 4 kills or make some yourself. Use Chopper Gunner. Try to get 14 kills with it. If you don't then kill some more guys yourself.

 

I've never tried it but this is how most people seem to get it done.

 

..Or just boost in FFA.

Got a nuke on Terminal Domination earlier. Chopper Gunner is pretty much useless against anyone inside the terminal. We had B, and I manged to kill a few guys with the CG inside the terminal, and we were then able to take C. It wasn't until we had them spawn locked at A and the chopper was hovering at A, that I got enough for my nuke.

 

While they're fun to get, they tend to get old after you get a few of them.

I've never gotten a nuke but I like my killstreak set up.

 

UAV+Care Package+Sentry

 

With Hardline I can lots of care packages and therefore have a higher chance of getting high level killstreaks.

Stuff you get from care packages doesn't count toward your killstreak. You can get an AC130 from a care package and get 20 kills with it but it will not count toward the "longest killstreak" you see in the barracks.

I just had a game full of noob tubers. All M4A1s, Grenade Launcher and M79s as secondary. Scrapyard was full of them. My team gradually rage quit'd. They had a team of 5 versus my team of two, me and a level 30-something-unprestiged. He used to lay down in doorways, but got dominated by the M203s and M79s. In the end, we lost 7500-6700. I went 41-28, he went 26-30.

 

The M203 shouldn't be able to be selected as an attachment if the M79 is secondary, and vice versa.

Steady aim has always been my default 3rd Perk (even from CoD4), unless I've got a specific playstyle intended (e.g. ninja for stealth). Spray and Pray, All the Way. It doesn't help that most of the 3rd slot perks aren't too interesting.

Yeah, that's what i meant. Perk slots 1 and 2 have stuff useful for all kinds of situations. Slot 3 is just a bunch of crap with a few pearls thrown in.

God I f*cking hate when your PC gets f*cked up by a Windows update (yes, Windows Vista updated itself thursday night but for some reason it f*cked up alot of sh*t which made me unable to start up my PC properly).

 

Anyways reinstalled Vista again (tried installing Windows 7 but for some reason it f*cked up). Reinstalling everything again is a pain in the ass... though now I can start with a clean slate again.

 

I f*cking hope it really is true that Steamcloud 'saved' my online progress... I will rage like f*ck if they didn't!

Set themm up in random spots behind you as they go, they can help get people sneaking up on you, which happens a lot on veteran. They're also pretty helpful with the dogs i found as they dogs travel in groups and it can take them out 2 at a time, maybe 3.

If you really want to be an asshole:

 

If you're in a game where you're playing less-skilled players and know you've got a good shot at a nuke, set up the following class in one of your slots:

 

Riot Shield, RPG-7x2, Throwing Knife, Stuns

Scavenger, Cold Blooded, Steady Aim or Last Stand or Ninja (doesn't really matter)

 

Once you get your nuke, change to your SPARTAN® build and either run around like a monkey or find an easily defensible spot. When you see someone, whip your knife at them. If you kill them then take your scavbag and keep going. If you get killed then try again. If you sneak up on someone, whip out your RPG and do a pro-suicide on them.

 

This is better suited to Domination where you're not f*cking your team by dying a lot, but godDAMN it is a lot of fun annoying the other team.

On the three attempts it took me to do it, I found an AA12 right at the start, every time. It was from some guy coming through the right-most alley, an AA12 w/ Heartbeat Sensor. Using this instantly made the mission a lot easier, both the auto shotgun and the HBS, running back to the ammo pile at the start every now and then.

 

I can't recall if there's a time limit but I do remember being very cautious and methodical so you should have time to take it slow.

 

Also, with the dogs: turn you volume up a bit and you can hear them barking as soon as they spawn, then just back into a corner with a long sightline.
