I get "Lobby Closed" when joining games with friends, yet my friends are still in the lobby. I have a NAT of moderate and so do they.

Wow. I envy you guys. I doubt I will ever get a nuke in my time playing this. Do you guys have any specific tips or killstreak layouts? Obviously this new controller doesn't help (I end up spraying guns, even ADS, Analogues move to free.)

EDIT: Does anyone know if you can change the Javelin's fire mode in multiplayer? (E.G, from Top Fire to Direct Fire)

If you're serious about getting a nuke, OMA tubing is probably the easiest way. There is one... other, but it's a little more involved. I've posted it before but I think I was drunk so I didn't explain it too well.

 

Set up two OMA tubing classes.

 

Assault Rifle+GL

Stuns

Whatever equipment you want, I usually take a blast shield nowadays to prevent lucky grenade kills f*cking your sh*t up.

 

OMA Pro, Danger Close Pro, Ninja Pro on Class 1 (DC)

OMA Pro, Hardline Pro, Ninja Pro on Class 2 (HL)

 

Third perk is debatable, I just hate HBS users.

 

1.) Start the match with DC. Use the extended explosive range to get up to 5 kills.

2.) Switch to HL. Use the Hardline class to get your 6th kill, netting you Harriers.

3.) Switch back to DC and call in your Harriers, giving them extra killing power

4.) If your Harriers don't get you the Chopper Gunner, switch to Hardline and keep going.

5.) Once you get a CG, switch to DC and use it. If you don't get to 25 kills, switch to Hardline to get to 24.

 

This all sounds very simple, and it is. All you have to do is not die. Way more difficult than it sounds, but less difficult than you probably think it is.

 

If you get good at doing this, use Hardline to get your 24th kill and die intentionally in some comical way. Rage about how they ruined your nuke and sh*t (bonus points on PC version because you can chat with them ingame) and wait until the right moment to click the detonator.

Ha that sounds very easy to do, I already have 20 Nukes. Gonna try this out and see how many more I can get. See if I get them faster then before.

Yeah, it's actually piss easy to do once you get the hang of it. Once you're really skilled with launchers it becomes more of a matter of if you feel like getting a nuke.

When I was grinding out Cold Blooded Pro I used a Stinger on EVERYTHING. UAV online? STINGER. Counter-UAV up? STINGER. Care package helicopter? f*ck it, STINGER. Oh, you got a Harrier? I'll torch that f*cking before he even starts hovering. Pavelow or Chopper Gunner? DOUBLE STINGER. AC-130? f*ck YO PLANE.

 

Easy XP and when you're playing with pubbies it's literally the one thing that can turn around a game. Even having a UAV up compromises everyone on your team, so if you've got a Stinger in any of your classes, whip it out and use it.

 

I swear, I'd look up to the sky so often that in real life I'd start thinking "ENEMY AC-130 ABOVE" when I saw a jetliner fly by.

 

If I could, I'd try to Stinger a nuke just as a defiant last stand. I've only gotten nuked ONCE though, when I got put onto the opposite team because our group had 7 people.

Weird thing happened to me yesterday. Got a Chopper Gunner on Terminal, and after a while of hovering it just went straight down, crashed onto the ground right next to the plane and then hovered just above there for a while. Same thing happened on Skidrow too.

 

I know I said it before, but the Claymores are so inconsistent. I've had kills where the enemies weren't even close, and I've been killed because somebody has actually been able to stand next to it and survive the blast and taken next to no damage.

Same boat as you, got tac knife with the m9 today and had so much fun. Got a 21 streak with knife and chopper gunner alone was so dissapointed I didnt get a nuke out of it, ended up with 33 - 3 at the end of the game without even firing a shot lol

Just beat MW2

 

I must say this game is awesome! It really shocked me when Shepard killed Roach and Ghost and burned their bodies, It was also cool how they made Soap Mctavish once again the hero, by killing Shepard, and it also left room for a sequel, because Makarov is still s terrorist, and we don't really know whether or not he died! I'm still exicted and i just beat the game last night!!!

I don't understand why my friends think that the M21 EBR is so awful. The damage may be a little less but the rate of fire counter-acts this anyway. Plus, there is little to no recoil. My current sniper class:

 

M21 EBR + FMJ + HB Sensor (I don't like thermal with it)

M93 Raffica + HG Sight + Extended Mags

Flashbang Grenades

Claymore

 

Bling Pro

Stopping Power Pro

Steady Aim Pro

I'm constantly getting a good K/D with this class so I just laugh as my friends try to convince me that the Intervention is incredibly 'pro'

Im ashamed. Im enjoying MW2 on the SexBox more than on the PC. Thats only because of the matchmaking though. Im not bad and im ranking up pretty fast.

 

 

J4ADM, That truly is an aaaaaaawesome class. Ive had that for ages and I love it. Ive have 7 legitimate AC-130s and a few Chopper gunners and 1 EMP using that class. Its awesome.

I feel that Care Packages and Airdrops have always been incredibly under-rated. In my last Emergency Airdrop, I got two Pavelows, a Predator and a Harrier

 

Also, if I wasn't going for the EA emblem at the moment, my killstreak set-up would be Predator > Harrier > Chopper Gunner

I tend to have Harrier/Chopper Gunner/Nuke as my setup just incase i manage to get an aweosme game and finally snag my second nuke, which seems odd that i've opnly had 1 being 3rd prestige in my opinion. I sometimes have Predator/Emergency Airdrop/AC-130, which works pretty well, though i sometimes have a Pavelow or Stealth Bomber in place of the Airdrop.

I've got another question: do kills from killstreak rewards add to your killstreak because mine don't. Kills from carepackages don't or sentry guns. Sure you had chopper gunner switched on?

The Pave Low is glitched. No matter how you get it, any kills it gets don't count towards your streak. Unfortunately there's been no word from IW about a fix either.

If you have an entire team of people with names like [iSLAM]Umar Khan and [iSLAM]Ali Bin Tubin while chanting in fake Arabic, then you will never, ever, EVER get into a match. People will either see you, call you muslim fa**ots and leave, or just straight up quit as soon as the match starts.

 

It took us 30 minutes to find a match with the tags, and about 30 seconds without them. I feel bad.
