Anyone have any suggestions for a primary weapon for a knifing class? I originally had a UMP-45 but that sucks for longshots. I then used duel UMP-45's put it's kind of usless as you can't aim. I tried the Vector for a while and it was alright. Basically I just want something I can use for long shots so I don't get sniped off while trying to knife someone. I'm thinking the ACR maybe. What do you guys use?

I just use any SMG, primarily because I don't ever use it. If I find a sniper camping and I can't get to him, I'll just use the throwing knife. If I don't have my throwing knife, then I'll use my silenced USP .45, which I find very underpowered in this game, especially compared to the original Modern Warfare.

Commando increases how far you can knife someone from, and pro lets you fall from any distance without damage. Commando pro is the bomb, especially useful on maps like quarry.

 

edit - just got my first nuke. Ended with 32 - 5 - 1. Got 3 assists right before my last kill, was driving me mad. Stoked now tho

Was playing some TDM earlier with Edmachine on the Rundown map. Used my knifing class and f*cking owned. 39-7. Two Attack Helicopters and two AC-130's. Didn't fire a single shot with my pistol or Vector.

Noticed some match fixing on free-for-all just now. Got nuked by a guy who went 32-2, lo and behold the guy at the bottom of the score sheet went 1-29. He must have been running out into the open to catch those pave low bullets for his mate.

 

Anyway, I`ve totally abandoned 3rd person now, as the sucking was beginning to make me f*cking depressed (honestly!). It was all I played for the first 5-6 weeks, so I`ve gone from a .51 KDR to .69 in a couple of weeks playing mostly free-for-all. Mastered the AK today, so now I`m going back to the start with the M4A1 and then just going thru every weapon challenge.

 

The challenges are the best thing about this game imo, they`ll keep me on it for ages. I got one today but I can`t find it in the barracks, it`s where you get hurt by an enemy but stab them in the back while hurt. It def wasn`t backstabber, it had three words in the name but I forget what, anyone know?

Just prestiged, now I wish I didn't. Any tips on how to level quick to get my 1887s back?

If you're good enough to get to 7 kill streaks reliably, roll with Hardline and Emergency Airdrops. Call it in and let your teammates take them.

 

You get +250 for each one (Share Package) and then 50*(# of kills required for reward) for each one picked up. So that's 1000xp for someone grabbing all of them plus at the very least +600 (assuming you get 4 UAV/CUAVs.)

 

Hypothetically, lets say you are the luckiest motherf*cker in the world and you get an AC130, EMP, Chopper Gunner, and Stealth Bomber or Pavelow. That is:

 

(250*4)+(15*50)+(2*11*50)+(50*9). That's 3300XP for dropping a care package marker.

It`s laughable! What satisfaction can you get out of doing that? Apologies for the rant, but sometimes it makes me feel dirty spending my time with these lowlifes on xbl.

On every map that isn't Derailed it's pretty easy to figure out where those f*ckers are, I usually just casually toss a burned off 'nade over to where they are and get an easy double every couple minutes and still win the game over the cheating f*cks just because I'm better than they are.

 

That's why I never play FFA unless Ground War gets boring.

Was playing three way split screen at a friends last night and I fell in love with the Famas, never really used it before and now I love it because I absolutely wrecked with the thing.

Really? I started out with the Famas using the shotgun class and really dug that gun, surprisingly reliable.

 

I'm thinking about taking on another shotgun though. No matter what class I had in the last game I always had extreme conditioning and no matter what class I play on this game I usually have Marathon pro. I'm used to being fully runNgun mobile. Running 8 steps and stopping is pissing me the f*ck off.

I started with that shotgun ironically, rate of fire is slower but I do recall it being very dead on when you had someone in range. Need to go back to it, I changed shotties every time my level went up, haven't used it since but Daz swears by it.

Wait, can someone explain to me why the Grip on a SPAS would even matter? The pump animation gives you more than enough time to return the camera to the center position, and despite popular belief the grip doesn't increase effective range. I can understand a grip on the Striker/AA12/M1014 where there is no pump, but on the SPAS it seems like a waste of an attachment.

 

Then again, it's not like you're going to be using anything else on a SPAS.

That's what I heard too, but why would they add in grips to help hipfire accuracy if there is already a perk for it?

 

AFAIK, grips do nothing to spread and only reduce recoil.

Oh my god I was doing Exodus on Veteran, and got up to the last checkpoint, then saved it and got off. An hour later, I went back, and resumed the game. And IT was on REcruit, So I didn't get the Trophy 'Complete Wolverines and Exodus on Veteran' crappy piece of sh*t I have to do it again. This game sucks, why did it do that?

Got a nuke on Sub base the other day using the Intervention, was using the AC 130 so I ended up having to get the last few kills myself, which tends to be when I always die. I find Wasteland the easiest map to get a nuke on, air support just destroys if you're against a sh*tty team.

 

In other news, can anyone get hold of the TANGO SUCKA (yes I know they dont say that) soundfile? I have a version but it just sounds awful on my phone

As a CoD4 player I'd like to ask a question:

Can you add multiple attachments to your Create-A-Class weapons?

Say you have a silencer, can you add a ACOG scope also without getting the silencer removed? That's what I hate in CoD4's multiplayer, you can't do that.
