The lack of lean makes veteran more difficult... whenever you step around to corner to 'peep' around and shoot enemies you are in full view (and obviously get shot).

 

Though, as Asimov said, just take your time. And I must also say that your AI teammates actually do some damage to the enemy AI... which wasn't really the case in the previous games.

Just managed to get the UMP45 Mastery Title (the golden one with UMP45 written on it. Nobody I play with has one of these mastery titles yet so I'm well chuffed. Because I don't know anyone who has one yet, I wasn't sure if you only needed to unlock all attachments or needed all camos as well. I can confirm that to get a weapons mastery title you only have to unlock all the attachments, as I go mine upon unlocking the extended mags.

I wasnt sure about that either till I read when mastery was highlighted (all attachments unlocked), I am right there with the MP5K and the SCAR-H, the only problem is, the FMJ bullsh*t, its not 40 kills its 40 penetrating kills. Which is bullsh*t.

 

Also what I find funny is the fact shotguns have a FMJ option.

 

Great one, even if shotguns did use normal rounds, in the first game deep impact with a shotgun was pointless.

 

I agree the perks are alot better now, one hand alot less to choose from as you get pro versions, but also, re-aranged, so you have epic stuff like slight of hand in perk 1 slot instead of taking up stopping power. As for bling I have pro but I tend not to use it unless a weapons sights are awful. Or some other cosmetic look I dont like. As usually I am happy with iron sights and extended mags.

 

I still think you should get more ammo depending on how light or weak the ammo would be. Like normal soldier standards, with a G3 they carry 4 extra mags, with an M16 they carry 6. etc.

 

NEED MOAR AMMO, but I want to keep slight of hand.

 

 

Also: what ever hapeend to double tap? I know there is rapid fire on SMGs, which its actually the one thing its not needed on. Its not on machine pistols, or assault rifles, wtf. I want a faster firing 1887 when I get it.

 

 

 

 

 

and, does anyone know what you get/lose for prestige. As I will most likely do it this time, but I REALLY want to keep my callsigns, and my pro perks.

Apparently shooting threw windows counts towards the FMJ challenge. I haven’t tried it yet though, been to busy with my USP/tactical knife with marathon, lightweight and commando. Man does this own. When ever I use guns, my k/d usually break’s even, but when I use this class I always seem to go positive. Especially on favela and skidrow, which I often end up winning.

Yeah, when I found that combo out I just about sh*t. On favela, I was behind the enemy team at the start before they even knew wtf happened. f*cking hilarious. Though sometimes they notice what you are doing and it epic fails but usuall it always works.

 

I have tactical knife for USP, M9 and .44. All own.

 

Though its a tough choice with pro ninja, having silent footsteps is awesome.

 

Also this window thing, do you mean through the glass or just by shooting through a window?

My favourite weapon combination for Skidrow is the dual weild P90 as primary and the AT4 for secondary. You almost never get great distances between yourself and an approaching enemy at Skidrow, so in 80% of the duels you will just spam him to death with the rapid fire of two P90s. And teammates always cheer at people carrying Rocket Launchers in case a Harrier or Chopper shows up.

 

Has anyone also witnessed some people are laggy as sh*t on PS3? In some cases I tend to use the kill cam after I got mangled and it seems I'm doing something completely different on their screen than I did on mine actually. For example I fire half a mag at a guy before he takes me down with one shot, but in the kill cam I dont fire a single shot ? Anyone else had this happen?

That same thing happens on the 360. It f*cks me off as I DEFINITELY shot before the other guy does yet I die and in the kill cam im just walking towards him like a tit with my weiner in my hands.

 

Ive been getting bad lag on some games too. I have only ever had 5 or 6 successful migration transfers. All the rest It has disconnected.

 

Once it even just booted me back out to my own party within a split second of doing something, with no warning.

And some people ruin the end of the level by running straight ahead of the guy when he whips out the green flares, where as I need to have him running up and waving the flares followed by the player, as this will be the character from the movie tie in.

lol sorry. The glass in the windows is meant to be consider a surface.

 

Ninja pro helps a lot on larger maps where the action isn’t so full on and there more likely to hear you coming up on them. On the smaller CQB maps, by the time they hear your footsteps theres a knife in there back. Dropping lightweight for cold blooded also works really well if you have the patients to play it a little slower. I love Hiding in the bushes around the outskirts of derailed and rundown. Just waiting for some one to come by, then ambushing them with stun grenades to slow them down then moving in for a kill.

 

I’m also loving the fact that you have to unlock the pistol attachments, it give you a real reason to use them.

Lol Daz I lag like hell too. Its crazy, I see a guy and I knife him and he then shoots me and I die! On the kill cam it shows I didn't do sh*t at all. Sometimes the lag is so bad even if I run behind a wall I die because to him i'm not at the wall yet. Jesus.

I’m also loving the fact that you have to unlock the pistol attachments, it give you a real reason to use them.

I was expecting some sort of finish, for headshots, like chrome, or two tone stuff, maybe gold, who knows. But I do like you have to unlock things even as simple as the silencer, makes you feel all the more own for having it.

 

I am still pissed I dont have my 1911 though.

 

I was owning on hardcore and search and destroy with silenced akimbo M9's on an M14 kit with cold blooded.

Yesterday I sat in a lobby for literally a hour watching as people popped in, asked "headshots?" and then promptly left when I said no. Apparently these little douches just make agreements that each will get a certain amount of headshots on the other guy then they switch, netting thousands of points.

Yesterday I sat in a lobby for literally a hour watching as people popped in, asked "headshots?" and then promptly left when I said no. Apparently these little douches just make agreements that each will get a certain amount of headshots on the other guy then they switch.

Why would you want headshots. The camo in this game looks lame and its just bragging rights, id rather get challenges done that are really hard to do, or nuke sh*t.

 

 

also what is up with that guillies in the mist challenge? I did 50 and I unlocked camo in artic maps. wtf does that mean. Was I previously not wearing a guillie suit? Or does it just camo you head, seeing as I often see snipers especially on the invasion map, with that stupid as f*ck looking camo'd hood.

Yeah, you have to unlock the Ghillie suits now, i don't mind it, but i only started unlocking them by around major, which annoyed me as i didn't know i'd done it through the challenges and i assumed i was wearing a Ghillie suit anyway when sniping.

I've experienced this problem in both CoD 4 and MW2, highly irritating. I think it's more of a game glitch, however.

That's about the 4th or 5th time someone's posted that but this topic get's a lot of replies so it's hard to keep up I guess. I have had some more amazing knife kills but usually with me aiming, like one yesterday. I was playing a private match in the quarry, I was at the top of the highest building and someone was down below quite far in one of the others at the window and I managed to get him from about 30 meters away and it felt good

I f*cking HATE dual wielding SMG's... I can't express how much I rage at those combos .

 

Also: f*ck yer I did another Tactical Nuke this morning before going to college. We were losing though my team did a great job at (attempting) to play aggressively and capture all points. Though, since everyone attacked I just stayed back and sniped 'dem fools' with my Intervention with an ACOG. (I must say if you get used to it you can pull some crazy sh*t... but on the other hand you can better use a sniper with a real scope and a silencer instead of this sh*t ).

 

Anyways, got a carepackage which helped us out too (EMP, f*ck yer), later on my beloved AC130 (which weakened their defenses... in other words blew everyone away) so we could get it even again. Though, since they had alot of campers on their team (they captured two points and just sat around there with tactical insertions) my teammates couldn't burst through. I tried to snipe them all down but since they respawned instantly at the same spot my teammates couldn't do a damn thing (also: other team consisted of higher ranks with M16's and ACR's while my teammates wielded Famas' and such).

 

Though, once I got the Nuke... we still won :]. Damn it's so satisfying. Especially that I still needed 3 kills. I jumped down, took my USP with FMJ and waited for the enemy team to attack the last flag (in a attempt to quickly win the match). Luckily three of them came and I knifed one and shot the other two.

 

Alot of luck, but it was f*cking worth it!

I've had one "incredible" knife kill too, in Highrise there's the tunnel and the wide staircase in the middle of the map. I was just running up the stairs and I heard someone running a bit away behind me. I went up the stairs, ran a few more meters and decided to just throw my knife down there, I couldn't even see if anyone was down the stairs, and Bullseye! The dude who I killed started calling me wallhacker, and I just told him that "I heard you was coming and the kill was pure luck, I was as amazed as you were."
