Holy f*ck some of these SpecOps missions are hard.I'm getting my ass kicked, I've done about 6 of them of vet and most of the rest on hardended. Still haven't unlocked Echo yet.

 

I've been trying to go solo on them all, I think it is totally impossible, if anyone wants to have a crack at them hit my PSN up - diddymal

I played some MP half an hour ago. It's still morning where I am. Got to level 7 in no time. But it pisses me off how some people simply edited their sh*t to unlock everything. First of all it ain't fair, and second it takes all the fun away. All that it's left is to shoot other people without anything else to hope for. I love progressing to unlock stuff. Even if it takes me ages. Actually the longer it takes the more I appreciate what I unlock.

 

I was so happy when I got to level 4 today because I could make my own custom class. Fast reload perk saved my life over a dozen times.

And I figured out earlier that its not just that one snowy mission that f*cks up, its every mission exept Cliffhanger. So I cant play any missions on Specops with snow Exept Snowmobile races, So now im f*cked. I cant do much on specops. And I cant advance in the campagin. Weird that its only the snowy missions, they just crash before it even loads now .

I hate this >_<.

 

I just did the Rio De janero mission on I think bravo or charlie ops(?) on hard, its f*cking horrible, tried it on vet, I had 20 people left to kill then some dog bit me in the ass .

I actually find it a shame that you can't put your own text on your callsigns... that would be cool. Eventhough there's still alot of customisation possible, you see some combinations frequently.

 

And who dares to say the FN SCAR is ugly? Yes, the ingame model isn't that detailed (well, all weapons aren't that detailed). But still... the weapon itself looks damn f*cking epic.

 

Just like the FAL. Shamefully they didn't use the 'older' models and/or the one with wood instead of synthetic material.

I'll agree I've seen a lot of people with the same call sign when they are around level 30-40 but other than that I really don't take any notice unless its really in my face while playing. Like when you get to see the winning kills. Man I love being on the winning kill thing. I feel so cool.

No the one where you replay missions from the campaign, only racking up scores. I loved how the scores cames out of the enemies in CoD4.

The arcade mode isn't available in MW2. You'll have to deal with Spec Ops.

Im proud , took my like 50 tries getting past the first set of snipers in the tank graveyard but when I found a good tactic I did it. .

Same with the patrol on the road, I just planted a line of clays along the path so when they all came arunnin, they walked right into my trap .

 

 

IW wont like those Dedicated servers , but if it stay, that guy is a f*cking god. I think IW will get bitchy pretty soon though.

IW should be thankink them, PC sales will go up if this stays

 

Oh and does anyone know why I cant play snowy maps? its really pissing me off that I cant get any further in the single player, will I probs need to upgrade my graphics card? I has a Radeon X1600/X1650, I updated it on the ATI website which helps it a bit, then I made my screen res a bit larger which helped, now im well and truly fooked again, cant even load the mission as soon as Price cancells the call with Sheperd, the game goes dead.

Anyone know what Ill need to do?

I'm running the game in a 1200/1024 resolution. If all goes well, I should have a big pimping 24inch wide TFT screen tomorrow. I hope the game won't stutter alot since I already have framedrops to 33 (and in the singleplayer, when alot of explosions/smoke/shrubery is there) up to 22).

 

But normally I have a stable 60 FPS with some dips to 45. Which is good in my opinion. I can't boost up the res to 1900 something something probably (cause it'll lagg like f*ck I presume). But I'll be happy to play it in a slightly larger resolution that I'm playing now.

 

edit: PC sales will only go up once IW decides to support the game properly on PC and do something about this crappy system. Either drop IWNET and make Dedicated Server support or spend alot of time and effort into improving IWNET drastically!

Just purchased this game on my lunch break and want to get online ASAP, any tips for a COD Noob like myself ??

 

SP should be self explanitory and will help me get to grips with the controls, so I am really only after smart online tactics, and weapon/perks I may overlook due to my inability to read any manual I get with any game !

I got level 57 last night. The game has officially gone to sh*t though. I started doing awful, worst I think ive ever played in the past few days.

 

f*ck am I ever gunna get that nuke again. Best I did was 27 and died because some c*nt had increased health, but i didnt have the killstreak unlocked then, the other time was the time I died shooting the 25th person and I had a nervous breakdown and couldnt hold a controller for a few hours after and had to curl up in the corner of the room and rock back and forth.

 

The other times I got up to 18 or 19 kill streaks, the game ends. So I dont know how its really possible. All I want is to do it once, or twice whichever gives me a callsign then take it out my kit, as I want to use other stuff and not always have it in my kits.

 

I have quite a few pro perks now. I would like to know what you get for the pro cold blooded perk and pro marathon.

 

also I want to know what possible reason there was for taking out the best pistol and best sniper rifle from multiplayer.

 

SVD owned, it looks the best, all the snipers in this game look awful and handle like sh*te and sound like sh*t. WA2000 aint bad but meh too big. I want the SVD, that sh*t sounded so nice. And the 1911 most of all, that akimbo would have been the ultimate jizzbag i swear.

Oh nice, just got that ACR gun everyone is talking about. Didn't really get the chance to use it though (was playing S&D, the round ended seconds after I picked it up). =[

I got this too the other night, M1014 double headshot, total accident, well it wasnt an accident I was owning everything in sight with it but yeah.

 

I also got " how the? " using my awesome old technique by throwing c4 by the side of a doorway with FMJ on and waiting with cold blooded, and shooting it as a git runs past.

 

I also managed to get the " get a game winning killcam with a throwing knife " During the last round of a search and destroy match, it was epic.

I have Marathon Pro but I forgot what it was.. Google says it lets you climb ladders faster and get over obstacles faster. Sounds about right.

This might piss you off, but I was playing with my mates earlier (as I'm now forced to play rather than just talk to em) and a friend of mine managed to get the nuke two games in a row. I was amazed. We were playing some team of low to average skill guys, but the real trick he had was using Chopper Gunner in Domination, that thing is way too overpowered.

 

The real reason I'm replying though is about Cold Blooded, I just unlocked the Pro after taking down the 40 enemy killstreaks with it. It makes it so that your name wont appear above your head in red writing for the enemy and no red crosshair when they aim at you. I was a bit disappointed with this, expecting silenced footsteps but I'm told this is what Ninja Pro does. I'm also told by friends that the no-name thing should be pretty useful actually, but I'm yet to be convinced.

The chopper gunner is WAY too overpowered, they need to lower the bullets penetration, you can get kills more or less everywhere on the map. Even if they are inside a concrete building you can pick them off fairly easy.

Yeah that isnt too bad, I also thought I would get silent footsteps. Ironically that is better than the default you get from ninja.

 

Scavenger pro is pretty good, you start with full mags, and even with the basic you can re pick up frags. I kind of feel this is alittle bullsh*t considering you cant even pick up ammo for the same gun as yours if it has different attachments.

 

And worst of all you only start with 2 extra mags. It should really be 4. I mean how bad would it be if everyone had ammo, ffs. Its not like people dont spam sh*t as it is. At least alot of secondary ammo.

Same, it took me a good 50 tries to finish it on Hardened, let alone Vet.

Apparently three new modes have been found in the PC version;

 

The first gametype - "gtnw" - is Global Thermonuclear War. To play, simply capture the objective: a nuke. When captured, it detonates...

The second gametype - "oneflag" - is One Flag CTF. To play, capture the flag in the middle and bring it back to your base.

The third gametype - "vip" - is VIP. To play, defend the VIP. Or, if you're on the other team, kill the VIP.
