I suck with the throwing knives. Then again I never actually got to use them on a map and got fed up with not being able to use it that I swapped it back for the sticky 'nade. I've come to notice in one game today that everyone was using f*cking grenade launchers. Really pissed me off by the end of the game because instead of shooting someone up close they decided it would be better to just shoot a nade out at you. In the end I decided to pull mine out, but still its not how I want to really play the game in every match.

 

Also a question. You know one of the achievements you get is where you have to kill X amount of chickens on a certain level. Anyone want to give me a run down on how to do it? Because I thought I did it by killing them all in quite a short period but it never unlocked.

Secondary: AA-12

Equipment: Frag Grenade

Special: Flashbang

Perk One: Bling/Sleight of Hand Pro

Perk Two: Stopping Power Pro

Perk Three: Steady Aim

 

Tell me, what are your classes?

 

@$RebelG: Yeah, in the Hornet's Nest, there are two place with 5 cages on top of each other. Throw a Frag Grenade next to it, and then you've just got to shoot to more chickens... That's not so hard, is it?

About the cheating part: it's normal that you can cheat when you have console... and you can also cheat on dedicated servers. Though: 1) cheats must be enabeled and 2) with a good Anti-Cheat programme you can ban cheaters. On top of that, if you have a good server admin cheaters will be detected soon enough.

 

In other words: dedicated servers > matchmaking. I've seen too much hackers already and you can't do anything about them. Most hosters are too damn retarded to realise who is hacking and who is not. I've been kicked alot of times for hacking while I see other stat hackers/aimbotters play freely without any problem.

Yeah to be honest, at first I made a class focussed around them, which I later discovered was a bad idea as focussing on using them just makes you end up not killing anything. I then stuck them on my stealth/anti air support class just for a laugh and started using them at opportune moments and my skill evolved really.

 

Finding the little bastards after a miss can be a hassle though.

 

Also, just got an amazing throwing knife kill on Karachi. I was on top of the big brick wall near the market (the one that has a plank leading into a house) and someone was running towards to bridge opposite's stairs. The distance mustve been a good 15m and he was sprinting. I was well chuffed with that.

I think you're right Rob. Maybe I should just stick 'em on a class that I usually get most knife kills or whatever and instead of shooting them in the back I should just use the throwing knives. At least then I could get used to them.

I use knifes just for the heck of it. I love throwing them around, hell even throwing them randomly into a wall looks great Usually I use it to kill from behind or when my enemy is distracted (trying to kill one of my teammates) I try to throw them and if that doesn't work I just shoot. Works great

 

My best knife throw kill was probarly on Terminal - time was running out and one of my team mates was under attack. I rushed to him but by the time I got there he was killed. I emptied my clip on the enemy but didn't kill him.. I had to reload and had no secondary.. my last lucky guess was to throw a knife, which hit him in his forehead, and which was the match ending kill

Wow, just played up to the beginning of Act 3, and its f*cking amazing. thing is though After sneaking through the woods with Price, you get compromised at a village and as soon as it reaches that point, everything goes laggy and things start going black, like whole guns, or they will go white and its impossible to play, I had this problem in the mission "No Russian", but fixed it by making my screen thingy 1024x768. and I managed to fly through the missions. But now I get this again, then the game crashes and says I need 5mb free disk space or some sh*t, then the whole thing craps up and closes down. I get the same thing in spec ops on Sniper Fi and Evasion. Anyone know how to fix this?

Oh, come on! I had just started in a S&D match I got discoed from the game because "Steam couldn't connect". After this I tried to connect to different other game modes but it gave the same error. Then I quit the game and restarted it, and now when I try to search for a lobby the game crashes.

Holographic is slightly better (it's clearer and it seems to be more accurate).

The heartbeat sensor is my lifeline with the SCAR. I used it along with the Holographic Sight.

 

I was surprised it only took 15 kills with the silencer for the heartbeat sensor. After I unlocked the silencer, I played one TDM and got the heartbeat sensor.

 

Still, since I also need some type of special sight along with the heartbeat sensor, I can't use scavenger anymore.

@Panz - Really? I thought AC-130s would pop flares on the first two fired missiles, but maybe it's only the first lock-on? I've been playing with a bunch of scrubs lately that only got their ~40-50 rank because they got 30 hours under their belt. My harriers were able to dominate on Sub Base while I sat in a corner doing nothing.

Yeah, that happens, but I've had my own go down twice, and I've seen another go down pretty quickly. I guess you can still get a good amount of kills in, though.

There are subtle visual differences and that is it. Notice the different outer shape of the sight as well as the red cross hair in the middle. The red dot is just that, a red dot while the holographic is a bit more intricate. I prefer the red dot for precision aiming, the holographic for a less accurate gun.

 

Why is there a server disconnect only when I am dominating?

Would anyone be up for recording the green smoke mission? I forget the name. But I have an idea for a game and movie tie in video and would like to give it a try. It would probably mean saving it and uploading it on send space or whatever so I can download it? Doesn't even have to be the whole level. Just a few minutes before the end, and until the screen goes black.

Is anyone here definitely going to Prestige? I think I might skip out this time around. It looks like you just get a new custom class slot and a title and an emblem. Woopee.. I'd rather try to get all the camos and sexy up my weapons to their full potential.

I'm going to prestige, not sure if all the way to 10th again. I'm not interested on the 5 stars at all, looks too basic.

 

So for at level 56 right now, should enter prestige mode by Thursday-Friday.

I'm definetly prestiging, hell i may even go all the way to 11 10 again, i loved doing it in CoD4 and ranking up actually gives me that sense of accomplishment in a game, so me stopping at 70 and doing nothing would make me bored, even with all the challenges i needed to do, those can wait until i'm at the end.

 

Also, does anyone know how the hell you get the pink bar of soap with "SOAP" written on it for the emblem? I want it so much.

Well, I already told YOU, but for anyone else wondering..I looked it up, and apparently you need to get a revenge kill by sticking an enemy with a semtex grenade. Unfortunately, I don't use those... Ah well.

 

They need to add descriptions or something for each title/emblem so that I know how the hell I got them. Some of them make absolutely no sense to me.

 

Edit: Just found this. I can't believe I got the All Pro one. Lucky or what!?

I like MW2, but I think CoD4 is considerably better. This game doesn't give you the feeling of playing it all day(Im a diehard CoD player btw) like CoD4 did. I am a bit disappointed

just wondering what was the Jack the Ripper loadout? i saw it a few pages back but couldnt find it again.

Jack the Ripper

Perk 1: Marathon (run forever)

Perk 2: Lightweight (I didn't realize that this perk also increased sprint speed)

Perk 3: Commando (increase melee range)

 

Weapon1: SMG of choice, you want to be light as possible. Equipping a LMG on this build is not synergistic with the build and will slow down your character to something like pre-Lightweight rifler levels

Weapon2: stay light, shotgun or pistols

Attachments: Heartbeat Sensor, refer to it once you're inside a building.

Equipment: Throwing Knife

Special Grenades: Stun because it slows down the enemy. The problem with flash is that they can still shoot and move while blinded. Another option is Tactical Insertion but only on large maps; your guy will be too fast on a small or medium map as to make TI redundant.

Killstreaks: UAV, C-UAV, last slot is filler but stick to low-level streaks because you're not going to last long enough for the big stuff. A nice touch would be to drop Care Packs in enemy territory and draw them in like moths.

thanks i figured it out already except for the KS part. and actually i got a 10 kill streak at Afghan by killing four straglers and then killing a group of six retards not looking at thier radar after they got thier UAV lol. at the end of that game i had 28kills and 5 deaths lol. one issue i have is against GLers and people who lag sevearly.
