It'll feel pretty wierd if I did go back to CoD4. But I don't see myself playing MW2 for as long as I did CoD4, in which case I would run back to my beloved CoD4.

Is anyone on the ps3 side experiencing the 'online status' problem again? I find this utter bullsh*t. It was working perfectly fine a few hours ago but now its either stuck at the 'Status online' thing or after that if it does work it will be stuck at the find matches thing. It shows 'Updating playlist' and just stucks there.

Does this mean Ramirez joined the shadow company and even fought against Price and Soap? Come to think of it, he could have been the soldier crawling at the start of the infamy trailer.

It's the achievement / trophy you get right after Team Player mission, where you defend the bridge and have that shootout in a somewhatistan town. In the last cutscene of the mission, Shepherd says to Pvt. Allen, who you play as, that he is now under Shepherd's command - meaning he'll be send on the 'No Russian' mission. It has nothing to do with Ramirez.

No, Allen get's picked to infiltrate Makarov's group and you play as him under a fake name in the airport mission, and then he get's shot by Makarov and dies, which is way before Shadow Company come onto the scene.

After Shepherd betrays Ghost and Roach, and after he is killed by Soap. Who leads Task Force 141? Captain Price? Also, as Shepherd betrayed Ghost and Roach, would Task Force 141 seperate from the US Army (it was a part of the US Army, right?)

It was just about before you start chasing Shepherd in the boat and you come out of a cave. Price says "Since when did Shepherd care about danger close?"

 

And I don't think Task Force 141 even exists anymore, the only survivors were Price and Soap and they're like the most wanted people in the world now.

Well Price and Soap survive, and I'm pretty sure IW didn't do that without a reason. I'm pretty confident we'll see them in MW3

So I got the game yesterday and I finished the campaign in 4 hours approximately. Played it on Regular because I needed to see what happens. Now I'm gonna play on Veteran. It's a blast, but why did IW kill off the coolest character (Ghost). It would be more awesome if Ghost survived too along with Price and Soap. And maybe we would be able to play as Ghost in MW3. And the way he got killed honestly pissed me of. I never hated any movie or game villain as much as I hate Shepard's character.

I'm not impressed that Price survived. His "death" in CoD4 made a pretty strong impression and it made the story even more awesome. Now that's gone.

My favorite mission that's more "movie like" then the others IMO is the one with Marines or Rangers or whatever the f*ck they are after the satellite explosion. It just feels more natural and more CoD like then the rest of them. Somehow campaign doesn't really feel like a CoD game. It became too personal. It's not always a bad thing though. I like to be able to "get to know" the characters.

 

Too bad I wont have time to play MP very much next couple of months. After the semester, hopefully in January, I'll be ready to kick some ass all day long.

AFAIK there's no telling yet, not until someone creates a list of how you unlock every single one.

Because the point of infiltrating a group is to gain intel, not kill people at first sight.

This. What's the point in buying it online from a shop you can go to IRL and wait an extra 1-6 weeks for it? Cancel that order and go buy it in-store.

I'm officially in love with throwing knives. When I first saw that MP videoway before release I thought "Oh god, what are they doing?". Cut to the other day and I thought I'd have abash with them for a cheap laugh. I enjoyed it. Thoroughly. They're quite difficult to get a hang of though, I started just using them when i could get the jump on someone and line it up behind them and now I'm starting to use them properly. I will master these.

 

PS: some of the titles that come with them are pretty badass. The first one I got was was "Cloak and Dagger" with a magic hat (inc. rabbit) on a royal blue background with stars, which now that I think about it sounds quite camp but trust me it's cool. Another that I've just got is Take a Stab with a big long throwing knife protruding out of something (a helmet maybe?)

See the intro. Apparently there was another regime change. Loyalists were probably overthrown by another 'nationalist' regime... or the loyalists weren't that 'great' after all... which has been hinted at in MW I think... 'Remember, you are on our side'...Gaz being a little hard on that Russian fella...

 

Also, since I finally got to play the final mission (NOT on PC though... god, the game doesn't look that great on consoles if you're used to PC, not to start a 'consolewar' though):Why haven't they added somekind of 'knife only' perk and/or knife as secondary? I mean, you get to hold only a knife in your hands in the very last level when you chase down Shepherd?

 

 

It would be awesome if you could pick a knife as a secondary weapon... or as a perk which makes you run faster + have a knife.

This would be pretty epic... ninja people running around with a knife only causing havoc. The game ain't Call of Duty anymore and they've added Akimbo so why not this? I really hate the Akimbo thing on most weapons (I wouldn't mind if the pistols were only possible in a Akimbo combo... but machine guns like P90??? Come on!).
