You're doing it on the training mission right? You don't have to get dead on 30 seconds. Since my achievement unlocked on 33.52 seconds.

run pit once through badly when finished theres usp45 with tactical knife take it and m9 then try the pit it should be easier

Anyone on the Xbox having problems playing online right now? Whenever I log into the MP side and try and pick from the list of games it will always say that there are zero players playing in that mode. Then whenever I do pick a match mode it will put me straight into a game on my own waiting for like 5 more players. Its f*cking annoying because everyone leaves when they see 4/5 people waiting for guys to play. Even more so that it just throws me onto an empty game.

I knifed mostly everything in the Pit except civilians and ended up with a time of 28 seconds... it only took me 3-4 attempts to get the trophy. Are people really struggling?

 

Oh and I completed the campaign on Friday . Very short, but I suppose it makes up for it with its awesomeness.

 

Multiplayer is going brilliant at the moment, hit level 40 earlier on. So I unlocked the M16A4 before, haven't used it yet, is it any good? I'm guessing it is because all its stats are pretty high.

@3nix, I can agree with a lot of that stuff, but the question of why invade a Virginia suburb. Washington DC is close to Virginia. An invading force doesn't stop with it's objective. It would want to capture all the surrounding area around their main objective, which was the U.S. capital. Also if it is a question of why show the fighting in a suburb? I'm guessing that they (Infinity Ward) wanted to show an anywhere America town, because the majority of the people who will play the game (Americans) are from places just like that.

 

Also, who says there was no radiation? The game didn't show a long enough time after detonation to show it's effects.

 

Oh, and the Jets were probably from another part of the country, that was not effected by he EMP.

In multiplayer I noticed that alot of the Navy SEAL faction members wear the British flag patch. Why's that? I thought Navy SEAL's was a purely American faction.

Youre probably right about the suburbs (even though its still questionable as to why not just disable the military first). And NY or LA would still be the better/more interesting choise in my opinion. Your points seem fairly valid though.

 

Radiation sickness occurs 12-24h after the initial radiation (which isnt that long of a time I think) but theres also electromagnetic radiation to be worried about (its like being in a microwave). Every piece of metal would get a sudden electrical surge and youd basically become a fire hazard.

 

I actually thought of the possibility of the airplanes being from somewhere far away too... but that didnt make any sense either. Why would you send airplanes from another part of the country (as opposed to some military base close by) to carpetbomb a place that is basically nonexistent already? Its just going to be an expensive trip to bomb one of the nations largest symbols.

 

But like I said... this plot has a hole after a hole. None of it makes sense at all.

They are, it's just they use the skins of what the characters in the campaign use on the Oil Rig and Gulag missions, so they have UK flags.

Chopper gunner is pretty good once you realize that they're only outdoors and shootable if they're bracketed in white.

 

The guy [s.S.]Ryan was getting his panties in a twist, calling me a fa**ot and so on, so I asked him why he had a nazi clan tag, and then he stuttered for about two minutes trying to explain it stood for "secret service".

The secret to JtR builds, to anyone not doing too great, is to f*cking run around and NEVER STOP RUNNING. When you slow down, you die.

 

Also, I played Rust for the first time today on FFA. Lost by one f*cking kill, and goddamn that map is terrible.

thirded. i just finished the campaign, and was thinking wtf. i understand it now. but a lot of it that you mentioned made no logical sense. i hope a sequel will tie up any loose ends.

If you're like me and strive for hectic, action-packed shoot-outs in the MP, you will have probably realized that 3versus4 TDM's just don't deliver.

 

In that case, I'd recommend Ground War.

 

I just tried it now for the first time and it was (I don't use this word much, just goes to tell) EPIC.

Going to move onto veteran soon...let the hair pulling and swearing at the TV begin.

Compared to MW1 and WaW it's easy. No infinite enemies (although at the start of Favela I think there f*cking is ) and not much nade spam. Only missions I died a few times on were Favela and Loose Ends. Got all intel on the way through too.

 

Once you unlock the Raffika every other pistol becomes sh*t. Rapes hard.

Use the little marks and judge your enemies distance to score a kill Grenade Launcher is my favorite weapons i cant wait to get Thumper but the attached ones arent bad either

My dad fixed the graphics problem, and ill be getting my pc and game back tomorrow, so ill be playing it all night . Wont be able to get on multiplayer for a while though which is a bummer. .

I know that escaping from Makarov's safehouse with the download data will be a pain in the arse on veteran because i found it annoying on regular.

Honestly, it's kids like this that make me ponder on what our generation will become. If this is real, I want the boy in question institutionalised.

 

Well, it's most likely just some idiot attempting to gain attention by dramatising his "hatred" for a computer-game he's played relentlessly, or, just a kid playing a part to seek attention.

 

Back on track, I agree with any other members (Fullmetal) on this: the levels are far too short. Although the AI has markedly been improved, even on Veteran the game just doesn't seem substantial as of yet. Nevertheless, the campaign's still bloody good.

I got it for PC because I played the campaign on 360 and didn't care for the controller.

Finally got the Pit Boss trophy, managed to do it in 35.16 seconds with a 126% accuracy bonus which took 6.3 seconds off my time, which made it 28.85 seconds, i'm quite pround of that though, even if it isn't as good as some of your scores. I did it with the USP and tactical knife btw.

I've found the best route for that is to keep running to where the PC is itself, and then run back around to where the basement is. So you keep running in and out of the room where all of the weapons are. Means you can pick off guys coming from downstairs and through the front door.

I don't care if i'm making a big deal out of it, but i just got myself the f*cking Tactical Nuke.

 

There was literally 13 seconds left and it was the 2nd round of a CTF game, i got around 9 kills from the first round with no deaths and that carried on into the 2nd half, i got myself an AC-130 through kills and i looked and saw i had 24 kills, i saw someone try and sneak up on me and i pulled out my secondary (i was snipping with the .50cal) and killed him to get myself the 25th kill and i brough that sucker in. The game timer ended and the timer for my nuke started. I got around 4700XP for setting it off because of the kills.

 

f*ck Yes.

Nice going Minic! The best killstreak I got so far is 16 and have been getting alot of airstikes lately but usually die after about the 8th or 9th kill.

 

I'm starting to enjoy multiplayer even more now because I can relax and not try so hard because I sucked at first but now it's pretty easy for me and I'm loving the 3rd person team tactical. Played a round of domination in rust and it was freaking crazy and I love it!

I got two nukes today using JtR and this KS setup: Harrier -> Chopper Gunner -> Nuke.

 

Hell, if you do it right then once you get the Harrier you're almost guaranteed a nuke in 9v9, just make sure you sit your ass in a dark corner and don't f*cking get shot.

 

AC130 is awesome and it kicks ass to rain down 105mm shells, but chopper gunner lasts 2x longer provided you don't get shot down. And most pubbies still don't seem to realize Stingers/Javelins are necessary to bring down chopper gunners. If you start plinking away at the chopper with an LMG, I'll see you and down your ass in less than 3 seconds.

 

The funniest thing is that my favorite killstreaks are still UAV->CarePackage->Predator. If you go into a game trying to get a nuke, you'll probably finish 48-2 with both your deaths coming at the 24 killstreak mark. Once you stop giving any sort of f*ck and start running around trying to knife people in the butt, you'll be amazed that your KDR starts going up and you find yourself enjoying the game a bit more than turtling in a corner waiting for people to run by.

 

If you like sniping and all that sh*t, all I got to say is that on city maps you're a f*cking running bush. You couldn't stick out more unless you ran around with a neon green flare saying "stab me". I ain't Elmer Fudd nigga I know bushes don't move.

Was looking forward to buying this game but since hearing of it not having dedi servers I'm holding out on buying it, hoping they put dedi servers back into the game as it should be, cod with no dedi servers = fail for me. [pc version by the way]

 

The link for the petition is not a boycott as some have assumed, it is to hopefully get activision to sort it out rather than do a moonwalk on the series. I just hope activision don't ignore pc gamers wishes else the series is dead and buried.

No, because if they did, they would have changed it way before release. The game maybe multi platform, but it was designed souly for one. The 360.

Because that's where all the "Casual" gamers are, with not much sense, blowing money for "an online service" and DLC.

Ah, you must be lucky, then. Harriers are easy as hell to shoot down within the first few seconds it's out, and I do it whenever I get the chance except for lately because I've been more focused on getting some pistol challenges.

I'm disappointed with how easy it is to shoot down the AC130, though. For something that takes so many kills, it shouldn't be that easy to shoot down.

Campers bug me and all, but really, it's kind of required to play this game sometimes, especially in game modes where you need to defend. As much as I complain about campers myself, it's just a tactic and a choice of playing.

 

At that video: Wow. I totally agree with elanman. I worry for our generation a lot. No one seems to care about anything even slightly important in this world anymore. I for some reason see us failing the world and 50% of us being unemployed when we're middle-aged.

 

Ptikobj: Yeah, makes me think...Notice how the PS3 had crazy server issues and overload problems in the first few days? I don't recall the 360 having that. IW obviously didn't think they had to prepare much for PS3 online because all of their beloved games are on 360. Still, you are being pretty bitter. Complaining won't change anything, so just deal with what you have...

@Panz - Really? I thought AC-130s would pop flares on the first two fired missiles, but maybe it's only the first lock-on? I've been playing with a bunch of scrubs lately that only got their ~40-50 rank because they got 30 hours under their belt. My harriers were able to dominate on Sub Base while I sat in a corner doing nothing.

My uni goes through it's own network and because they can't monitor what you do on a PS3 browser, I can't play it online. Extended weekends at home and Spec Ops in the week for me.

I've been doing hardly anything but free for all, for some reason I'm really good at high rise. Not seen a nuke yet, I doubt they'll be many of them in free for all.
