To put it in perspectiive, I've played 40-50 matches on Quarry (not a bad map) and Skidrow and Karachi, but maybe 5 on Afghan and ZERO on Rust.

Actually Rust is a rare map to be placed on, on the Xbox 360 aswell. I've played numerous times of FFA and only been on Rust once [i'm level 28].

Glad it's not only me.

 

My maps review:

 

Afghan: Kicks ass. Really stupid pubbie snipers just camp the high ridge and you can knife them in the butt.

 

Derail: Not bad at all. Just a little annoying with all the flanking routes.

 

Estate: The map description says it all. Whoever controls the house, controls the map. If you got a team of even halfway competent players you will NEVER lose the house.

 

Favela: Not many people seem to like it, but I love it. So many ways to surprise people. You'd be surprised how often you can smash someone with a riot shield in the back and they won't turn around to check wtf just happened.

 

Highrise: I love this goddamn map. Spawn, run like a f*cking crackmonkey to the other side, and try to take as many of them with you as you can.

 

Invasion: queer

 

Karachi: see Invasion

 

Quarry: Actually a pretty decent map IMO. Lots of fun long range stuff combined with some decent CQB.

 

Rundown: Only played this map like 4-5 times. Not much for a review.

 

Rust: Not played

 

Scrapyard: Absolutely baller when playing with the JtR build. A haven for tubers.

 

Skidrow: Not bad, but I despise these 'rundown brown people city' maps.

 

Sub Base: Not played that often.

 

Terminal: Love it. Learn the layout of the airport and what parts of the terminal can be seen from the plane/tarmac and you'll improve 10x.

 

Underpass: If you're in a ghillie suit and go prone, or even crouch, then I swear about 90% of the time people will just run in front of you and never even notice you.

 

Wasteland: I understand this is supposed to be a sniperfest, but that becomes pretty difficult when the entire match devolves into "who can hold the tunnels". Only map where I sprinted around for five minutes and never saw anyone.

So, you get the Makarov info from his safehouse, Shepherd takes it, he burns Ghost and Roach. Soap and Price find out what happened to Ghost and Roach, Soap goes to the battlefield between Makarov's gang and Shepherd's army.

 

So how did Soap and Price find out where Shepherd is to go attack him? And is Makarov dead at the end of the story?

In the cave, you can hear radio chatter about someone called Gold Eagle. Gold Eagle is Shepherd, so they track him down using the radio. I think.

 

And nope, at the end Nikolai and Price take Soap to a heli after you kill Shepherd, meaning Makarov is still alive, meaning one thing - cliffhanger.

I think its better to explain most of things

task force splits in 2 teams, ghost and roach go to makarovs safehouse in russia while soap and price go to airplane bone yard in afghanistan(dno if spelled it right) shephard kils ghosts and roach and takes DSM containing makarovs files then burns them, shephards men meanwhile attack soap and price in afghanistan but they survive, price contacts makarov and asks for intel on shephard, makarov tells shephards location, makarov most likely survived the MW2

Why the Hell am I always in 5 versus 3 TDM's? I'm hardly ever in a full 12 versus 12.

 

A few times I've been on my own versus 5 others, it's getting annoying now...

In all fairness, you'll never be in a full 12v12 because the player limit is 9v9.

My mistake, I meant 6v6.

 

The maps I'm always placed on are Afghan, Invasion, Karachi and the submarine one.

 

Edit: Whoa, wtf - I just checked the leaderboards and there's somebody called xMr_Swift-Killsx and he has a kill streak of 212! How the f*ck?!

And all of you are wrong in one way or another regarding the ending..

 

TF141 splits into two teams. Roach and Ghost go to penetrate one of Makarov's safe houses to get documents, succeed, but are then killed and burnt by Shepherd. Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, Price's 10th sense assures him that Roach and Ghost are dead. Kamarov is going to try and assist Soap and Price by getting them out of that airstrip, where Makarov's men are fighting Shepherd's men. While Soap navigates through the boneyard, Price contacts Makarov, and Makarov tells him where Shepherd is..

 

Makarov does not die.

I'm so happy. I just played a couple hours of MP and I kicked ass in all of them. Averaged more kills than deaths for a change. Last match before I turned off, I came top out of everybody in TDM got 20kills 2assists and 9 deaths. Although one death was rather retarded of me since I dropped a care package in enemy lines. Also managed to get at least 2/3 headshots when they took our EMP's? down. Finally got to level 16 as well so I can play some Capture the Flag.

Matches have been sh*t this evening. Almost every match I've been in has been a sh*tty 3 versus 4 TDM.

 

I've also ranked Underpass and Rundown my two least-favorite maps.

 

Also, what's up with the sniper rifles? There's only three, I expected more seeing as CoD4 had like 5 of them.

I miss the bolt action sniper rifles... Intervention is cool but it doesn't make up for the good ol' bolties .

 

Also, you can't take the EMP down. You actually put an 'EMP' in the air which actually disables all 'electronics' (electronic sights/UAV/RADAR/ and in non hardcore even HUD).

 

In other words, Electro Magnetic Pulse (Anuj posted something about this pages back if I remember it correctly).

Just got the game last night, played it, fell in love with it. Played MP for about 4 hours straight and then.. Red Rings.. Xbox died on the same night I got it. Absolute horrible night But I'm borrowing my buddy's xbox and playing it still on my account, plus MS will fix my xbox for free So it's not all bad.

I think the problem with uneven matches is that you cannot join a game in progress.  Whenever someone leaves, that's it.  No more players joining, so his spot will never be replaced.

Don't know about that. I've hit "Find Match" and gotten placed into the ass end of an ass kicking mid match.

Yeah, you're right, it happened to me. I think the way the matchmaking is set up is that it tries to get you to a match in a lobby, and if it can't, it will put you in a match.

This match making system is utter sh*te; I haven't been in a 6v6 match for ages now. It's always 5 versus 3, and it f*cking sucks. Half of the time you're running around the map trying to find enemies, which takes the piss and is boring.

Your computer can run it, but do not buy it. The PC version is gimped.

Riot shields are too strong, even a sentry gun firing at it for 4 seconds cant do anything.

When shooting at people with riot shields: shoot their feet like I do and they will die unless they're crouching. I have been killed a few times by them from behind and it's weird because they make no noise and you're like "what the"
