Nope. Now I think you're straying from it a bit, but I see where you made the connection. Here're the clues again, since they don't show up on this page of the thread (for me anyway):

 

1. Them dern city folk don't think much of me, but...

2. ...I'm not down because of that.

3. If I was real, you might be able to find me somewhere else in the United States besides California and Nevada.

4. Horseshoes and hand grenades.

5. You can get through the game without knowing I exist, but you've come close at least once.

6. I'm not alone in the world.

7. City lights and country sights; I got 'em both.

8. I don't feel so hot.

9. I can help you, hurt you, or just be completely useless.

10. Boo! I might creep you out a bit if you find me by accident (or even on purpose).

11. I can be accessed, without consequence, at the beginning of the game.

12. I hear about all kinds of crazy things goin' on around me.

The house in Las Calinas which has a grenade spawn in its front yard? It's on the northern-most road in the suburb, and has views overlooking the eastern suburbs, and it's back is right up against a grassy-wall, behind which are a small group of caravan/houses and Red County.

@james227uk: Well, the *actual* answer I have in mind is pretty stupid, so don't doubt yourself. The guesses you made before are the closest of anybody yet.

I said I wasn't going to push it if somebody got close, and you got really, really close, so congrats james227uk!

 

The answer I had in mind was the banged-up Sadler that spawns occasionally behind that gas station.

 

The answers to the clues (if you care to read them ):

 

1. Sadlers don't spawn in the city a lot.

2. SADler.

3. The gas station is in Montgomery, which is a city in Alabama.

4. Those are both things that you toss, and Tosser is the name of the gas station. Also right across the water are two horseshoe pickups in Las Venturas.

5. You come close to the Sadler in the mission "Against All Odds", where you go to the Inside Track Betting shop in Montgomery.

6. There're other beat-up Sadlers that spawn (like the one north of Verdant Meadows).

7. It's in Red County, but part of Las Venturas is visible in the distance.

8. It's not in the desert. Also, it's "beat up" so it's not in its best shape.

9. It can help you get away from the police, scare you when you find it, or just sit there because the road is close by so you can just grab another car.

10. It's (kind of) a ghost car, and those still creep me out.

11. It spawns intermittently from a new game.

12. Catalina lives on Fern Ridge and is absolutely insane, and the biowaste well in Montgomery is said to have had a strange effect on the taste of the Sprunk from the factory there, among a lot of other things (Panopticon, etc.).

13. "Sweet Home Alabama", which associates to Montgomery.

14. It's a vehicle, and it can get you from Montgomery to Blueberry.
