I played an FA cup with Notts County, i decided at start if i get anyone outside prem they would be semi pro, all teams in prem apart from big 4 were professional, liverpool and arsenal were world class with chelski and man u legendary. I got to semis and beat liverpool 2-1 after extra time, got Chelsea in Final , went 3-0 down and head went down and got beat 5-1 in the end. Guttedddddddd. Ari Gold Posted October 28, 2009 Share Posted October 28, 2009 I start playing on Amateur/Semi-Pro as soon as I start my career so I can get a kick-ass start over everyone else, boosting my job security and my fan support. When things start to peter out a bit, I increase it to Professional/World Class not only to test myself and keep interest in the game since playing Semi-Pro can be too easy sometimes, it also helps to even out the table a bit. Early matches are usually a fight to the death with all payers tired for weeks, but you have to make more sensible buys and update the approprtiate departments to build the club better. I still haven't bought this game yet, hoping it's available to rent tomorrow so I can try it out. Still playing around with the new Football Manager atm. I'm playing Manager Mode on Legendary and Middlesbrough just knocked me out of the cup 4-1, 3 of them scored by them chipping Reina when he was way off his line?? Didn't have this problem in 09 I don't think you can stop it, it's just the way the developers have programmed the keepers to act in '10. Di Natale has awesome finishing - I saw the keeper coming out and just finessed it from 20 yards out, top right hand corner. MW2's been sitting in my disc drive for too long now. I find it tough to even pull of the easy skills and his composure with the skill moves in front of goal is class. I'd hate to play him and get ripped a part like that. You could give them such a high salary, a 15% bonus for every clean sheet/goal scored, yet most of them will still only have a 20% interest in joining your club. Even if they are on the transfer list, some of the players struggle to have more than a 40% interest in the club, and yet I'm playing as Manchester United. Of course half the time they reject because apparently I have internal issues I need to sort out. Also I hate how on the fixture if you have a cup fixture it doesn't say what, just "Cup". Loved FIFA 09's Ultimate Team mode but i was pretty sh*t as i couldn't make enough money quick enough for top players, contracts and other things .
