I even resort to looking at the controller for the quick-time events sometimes. I swear, some of those race missions are falsely starred. It says it's a 1 star difficulty but when I fly over some place on the track a SAM Site shoots me down. I went back there after and blew the piece of sh*t up. Also, the demo is at the start of the game so it must get much harder. There is actually 4 difficulty modes in the game (Casual, Normal, Experienced and Hardcore), I'm assuming the demo is on "Casual" mode because I'm playing on Normal mode and have died numerous times from those commander enemies - they're just a lot tougher than in the demo. And the demo is not at the start of the game, by the way, it's actually a made up scenario, doesn't really happen in the full game. The cut-scene is used for a different mission. Cool. Thanks for the info. I might try it on hardcore as I do love this game and I never chose hardcore. I'll want to make this game last for a while. I played for 12 hours (or so the game told me and it has no reason to lie) and I've only finished 2 Agency missions, 21 settlements and 3 or 4 Turkish idiot missions. The Island is so freakin' big and the graphics rock. I hear the shooting is kinda lame on console versions. It doesn't detect headshots properly. I report no problems on PC version. In fact, I have 134 headshots so far. It's kinda sad that I find it amazing that a game like this runs fine on PC. I guess I'm just used to playing crappy ports. The game reminds me of Mercenaries 1 for some reason. Might be the freedom and solitude I feel when playing, also you get to blow sh*t up. And I like that shooting is old fashioned run and gun. I even managed to make a 360º with the small jet while trying to speed to take off, it is horrible. The missions are amazing, at first I thought this was gonna be a boring game. The very first mission is way too crappy. But from there on in, I couldn't believe what I was being asked to do. Very imaginative! much better than drive me from point A to B kill X and Y etc imo. And the graphics are freaking epic. Driving in the desert on a bike with the sunset on one of the missions is great. As for the handling, if you upgrade cars in the black market vehicle screen you can change the handling to a degree to make it much smoother. Also, I got some sort of glitch. All of the LE DLC bonuses in the black market no longer have their name, instead it's "dlc txt 9" or something, this excludes the Agency Hovercraft, which seems to be fine. Rico's Signature Pistol, Bull's-Eye Assault Rifle, Chevalier Classic, Chaos Parachute (and the Standard Parachute) are all "dlc txt X". Well, there is a f*ck-load to do in this game. There are story missions, side missions, race missions, destroying random sh*t for chaos, collecting resources and finding faction items. It's also fun as f*ck to go off a cliff on a bike or car, I love going in-land on a boat and back out into the sea - the boat goes underwater for a few seconds then flies back out. and also is the main city any good, because in JC1 it was sh*te It's nice to fly around through, and plenty of items to collect and chaos meter to fill. There is barely any, anyway. f*cking M4, AT4 rocket, Sniper rifle that sucks, and a shotgun. None of which I want. f*cking dissapointed there isnt another smg or semi auto pistol. So I will play this entire game with one handed weapons. Its also kind of bullsh*t how much things cost on the market, but after buying them, they arent free from then on. f*cking 20k for a f*cking pistol, f*ck off. And this is Panau currency, by the way, you shouldn't look at it like "20,000 USD for a pistol". And what's with all this sh*t about weapons on your back looking bad? Knife Posted March 27, 2010 Share Posted March 27, 2010 The agency hovercraft is 150K and I only have about 200K all together. 150K for a vehicle that'll probably last no more than 5 mins as vehicles do in this game. And the stupid cut-scene every time you call in the heli to buy stuff! But yeah, this game is great. 10 hours and I've made practically no progress. Enjoii Posted March 27, 2010 Share Posted March 27, 2010 Though I'm not against paying for the weapons/vehicles, I don't like the way that the Limited Edition items have been added. Rico's signature pistol should have replaced the default pistol if it's in your inventory, or be able for free since it's the character's 'signature' weapon. The parachute is worse though, if I remember correctly the stats are exactly the same as the standard parachute, yet it costs to use it and you lose it when you die. Other than that I don't mind paying for the LE items, although some of them are expensive I guess it gives some motivation to play the story (which has actually been pretty fun so far). It is really fun blowing sh*t sky high, jumping from mountains, raiding bases and all that stuff. It usually happens when I'm flying a plane by holding shift and using the directional buttons to steer. There's a lot of classic cheesy dialogue that I'm sure is a piss-take/nod to classic action films. Anyway, I bought this game yesterday and it's the sh*t. I loved the opening mission. I remember just looking up at this base and night going: 'wow.' The snow covered bases and night time look great. The planes are a lot of fun and the extraction feature from Black Market guy is handy. The water looks beautiful too. Did anyone take a trip down the waterfall yet? Lots of fun. I just hope there are lots of secrets and hidden things to discover. GTA IV was dissapointment in that respect. What you see is what you get and nothing more.
