i played the demo and there definitely was a good amount of cars and peds

for the desert, but have you actually seen the city? it's like 3 cars on a road at a time and 4 peds on the sidewalk.

Well, it is a f*cking demo isn't it? Why should they make it 10GB to have peds on the streets in case people glitch through the barrier.

I'm sure in the final game, there will be more peds. You haven't played the actual game yet, so don't complain.

Blackadder.

Since when was he talking about the demo? In fact, on the last page he posted a link to a stream where someone owned the full game, so it's probable that he has seen footage from the actual game in the areas he's talking about.

Lovin' the demo inlove.gif

All the way down the map there is a settlement/base called Gunung Merah Radar Facility, I've been trying to take it over for many times and I still can't get it..

I destroyed the gas pump, satellite, tower, generator, radar- and everything and collected quite a few "pick-up objects" and still can't get it.. Anyone?

I don't exactly care about peds, they're hardly useful, you can always tether soldiers to things.

and about vehicles, I'm usually doing stuff in the air AND you have the black market, no need for vehicles.

I don't see how someone can be dissapointed about it tbh.

Holy f*cking sh*t grappling enemies from mid air is awesome!

I was hanging on the side of a cliff close to the radio mast and there was a soldier above trying to shoot me so i just put the "cross hair" on him and grappled. But now Rico did the jump-and-grapple-to-a-higher-point-on-the-cliff climbing move and pulled the bastard down after jumping in the air.

People expect every free roaming game to be like GTA. There is no learning curve with those people. They will never realize that some games don't want to be like GTA.

I was just wondering, after you guys played the demo have you all decided you like it enough to buy the game? Personally for me I was really excited for the game but after playing the demo for a couple of days I've come to realise I'm not going to buy it. I mean you could spend all of your time just pissing around with the grapple hook, because its simply amazing. But other than that, it still felt like the very first game to me which I didn't really enjoy that much.

You can go be disappointed. I never expected full sidewalks and/or traffic jams. That's not what this game is about. This game is about doing crazy epic stuff all the time. I don't know any other games where you can jack jets from mid air or attach the head of a statue to a helicopter and use it to crush things/people.

If you want a living breathing city with plenty of peds and traffic jams go play GTA4. Because Just Cause obviously isn't your kind of game.

It's only a demo. I had hours and hours of fun in 3% of the game. I'm definitely getting this.

Yes, I understand its a demo and that its pretty much giving you a small taster of what you could/can be doing. I've spent hours on this demo as well, but I know from playing it that I don't think its worth buying the entire game from what I've seen/done. Like I said, you can do epic things but it still feels like Just Cause 1 to me.

Mister Pink

I was starting to have doubts aswell but I'm just thinking; Yes, it's only a small desert section in the demo. There's over 100 vehicles. I'd like to try the rest. I really want to see the rest of the map. I want to explore the sea-bed.

When I can actually start on missions and have some sort of storyline I'll be more engrossed. Then, the grappling & parachuting will all serve a purpose. Those things in the full game alone will provide some great gaming for me.

I Think it is a rather generous demo but it really is only a minute part of the game.

You can explore sea beds using the unlimited time/boundary glitch. Reefs look pretty good and I quite enjoyed swimming around underwater.

Oh, and don't expect the story to be at all engrossing. This game is about mindless fun. the story probably takes a back seat just like in the first game.

The difference between this and the first game is that JC2 actually makes it fun to explore and screw around. JC1 was hampered by bad controls and a lack of things to do. JC2's controls are less bad and there is a sh*t-ton of things to do.

I was impressed with the demo. The first cut scene i was sceptical, but its a lot of fun. Cars are fun to drive and damage to them looks good. Swimming animations are also beautiful. One of the most over the top crazy games iv'e ever played. It depends if that's what you like. I doubt i'll be getting it straight away, but down the line i might.

If you go to the PDA and press R2/Right bumber you get to the database. There you can see a full list of vehicles and colonels you have to kill. I also noticed some cool statistics such as "skulls collected" and "ninjas killed".

There is apparently also a strip club floating in the sky (not in the demo, the real thing got leaked already) called The Mile High Club.

Man, i'm so hyped for this game. tounge.gif

How would a strip club be floating in the sky? notify.gif Balloons? Blimp? But that would classify it as a flying strip club, not a floating strip club wink.gif

I'm interested in playing the full game after the demo, yes, but I don't have $60.

If I rent a game (like I dunno, maybe Just Cause 2) from Blockbuster, will any of my money find it's way to the game development team? It's just like, sometimes I want to support a game developer but don't have $60 to buy their game new...

No, and even if you bought it full price, I'd imagine games are like CDs, like how if you buy a CD for 14 dollars, if I remember correctly, most of it goes to the store and record label, and the actual artists only get like 7 cents per CD sold. Something small like that.

I don't know if that applies to games, though. But I'm pretty sure Blockbuster buys all of their games, and then just lets people rent them, and then all the money you spent renting will go to Blockbuster.

Technically, whenever you buy a game or a record, the artist never receives any of your money. It only ever so slightly adds incentive for the merchant to stock up more.

I would think that buying from Steam is the best way to support developers.

I read somewhere that probably all the profit made by selling through Steam actually goes to the developers and NOT to the distributors/producers.

I did that glitch on the demo to get out of the map and flew for ages and came across a blimp which it turns out is the mile high club, here's a video for it I found Link

Edit:

I think I'll be buying this game now, despite the dodgey vehicle physics, it's still kinda fun to drive and the map is just too big and beautiful to say no to.

So, anyone got the full game? Please check back after you've played it. It'll be a couple of days (or weeks) before the shops here get it. sneaky2.gif

Eh? What are you on about? Balloons don't fly, they float! A blimp flies, yeah, because it's propelled.

K-marts are selling JC2 for 45 dollars, 15 dollars off of the price elsewhere. The offer is good from March 23-27.

I have a question for anyone with it.

Can you remove weapons from your inventory once picked up?

For example, when you start in the demo, you only have a pistol, is there a way to revert to this state. As I don't like the look of a massive assault rifle on my back while im trying to explore and base jump etc. Or at least, is there a SMG and a Primary, that are smaller and more sleek.

I feel so strongly about this that I may not ever pick up a primary weapon throughout my entire playthrough.
