And I'm saying different because if I say what I really mean I'll start a PC vs consoles war. And we don't want that. It's not a bad game, but it's a very bad sequel. Just like Dragon Age 2 is in comparison to Dragon Age Origins (my opinion). It's quite good if you never played the original. If you did you won't like it nearly as much as you did Crysis 1 provided that you did like Crysis 1 like me. I'll wait for price to drop before I buy it since I'm not even remotely interested in multiplayer. EDIT: The soundtrack is much better than in Crysis 1. Word of caution: If you play 10 games in a row on 1 server then disconnect (EVEN THOUGH your internet is FINE), no progress whatsoever of rank and XP will be saved. Brown Sugar Posted March 28, 2011 Share Posted March 28, 2011 so anyone know if the patch is out yet? and the soundtrack is amazing, the multiplayer keeps getting more frustrating for me, after waiting ages for it to load all the servers i have to go through half of them before i find one that isn't full or empty or apparently full when there is only 12/16 players on it. However, if you haven't played the first one and are on console it's well worth getting. If you've already played the first one and liked it, it's still worth getting but you won't be as amazed I hope they port Crysis 1 to consoles. That gave me some more hope for an editor for Crysis 2, but I was just telling him that Crysis had a map editor before L4D's release. I just checked my Campaign stats and noticed how short C2 is. I finished it on normal in about 7 hours which to me is unacceptable for this type of game. Inky Posted April 1, 2011 Share Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) I just thought I'd add a bit to the discussion. I bought the game yesterday so I'm not too far into it yet. I'm only on the FDR just as the bridge collapses. I'd also like to say that I've never played the first Crysis so I had no expectations for this game other than knowing it had some great graphics. Everything up until now has been pretty good I'd say. The nano suit is fun to use - either going in all stealthily or rambo'ing the sh*t out of a situation. The locations are nice and it's good to have more than just one way to go at a fight, letting you chose tactical options and whatnot. As well, the gun customization is a nice feature. My only..well..they're not so much complaints as they are just things I've noticed that need fixing, are the AI and the voice acting. I've noticed a few times now that some soldiers are able to see me through a wall or through the ground (for example when I'm in a subway tunnel and they're above me on the street) and continuously try and shoot at me. Also there was one instance when I was walking up some stairs and saw a soldier just standing there staring at the corner doing nothing. Finally the acting in this game is almost to a point were it's comical. Nearly every line of dialog I've heard so far has been completely overacted. I think it would lend greatly to the immersion if it was more believable. The soldiers don't seem so bad for the most part but Gould annoys me whenever he speaks (also if you have subtitles enabled, some lines end with the word "man" but he never actually says it) and there were two people arguing before entering a helicopter that just made me laugh at the attempt to seem angry. Even so, I still like the game. I hope to see more added to it in the future in the way of a map editor and community mods.
