papanesta
Just out of interest is anyone else getting headaches from the xbox 360 version? Me and my friend have been having bad headaches since we started playing it. With or without 3D? If without, no, and I don't have a 3D TV.

This is just a shot in the dark but have you tried going to options>game and turning the HUD Bobbing to 0? if you're used to the HUDs on other FPS being fixed then having Crysis 2's HUD flying all over the place may be making you feel ill. ChossenOne
This game is so great. I was planning to buy Killzone 3, but I felt like playing something (a little) different, so I got Crysis 2 instead. f*ck! Way, wayyy worth my money. The graphics, oh...the graphics, and I have the PS3 version, and I don't have an HDMI cable, and the game still looks like the most beautiful thing in the world, makes me want to pull down my pants and...and...well, i'll leave that to your immagination. The nanosuit is fly, man. It almost makes playing this game too easy, but I really love the options it gives you. It makes way for alot of replayability in the SP, and to that in a shooter today is almost unheard of. I have this overwhelming feeling to just throw all my CoD's away now. In fact, for being set in the same place, they have totally different atmospheres. Pretty obvious though, when one is set during an alien invasion. d0mm2k8
Really? I thought they nailed it with Middle (Central) Park, and other areas shared similar traits. Times Square definitely wasn't busy enough, though. The atmosphere of the entire city in general just felt too different. The look of people in certain places, the scale and accuracy of areas and the average feel of the city. Staten Island and southern Brooklyn also added a lot to the views from Battery Park in south Manhattan (along with the bridge that connects them) and New Jersey felt entirely different in every way from Alderney. I honestly went to the New York last year half-expecting Liberty City but bigger; I got something much better though (obviously). Crysis 2 NY felt a lot more like the city for me, despite the time setting and alien invasion. Just don't know how to explain it exactly though. cidamelo
d0mm2k8 I completely LOVE Liberty City! But I agree with you, I didn't feel like I was in New York. I felt like I was in....Liberty City Not that it isn't a good thing, though
trip
Crysis 2 NY felt a lot more like the city for me, despite the time setting and alien invasion. Just don't know how to explain it exactly though. I agree and I think it has to do with the scaling in Crysis 2. Don't get me wrong. I really love how they pulled off Liberty City. I think they did an amazing job. I've been playing both on my new super power rig with everything set to max(and all the enb and other graphics tweaks for IV). Aside from IV being totally amazing and a whole new and different experience, Liberty City still seems a bit like a 'happening' 3rd world city. Although, running it on a rig where you can max out traffic, helps take away a bit of the 3rd world feel - only a bit. I spent allot of time in Manhattan and most of NYC, so I'm pretty familiar with the city. Before I was married my girl/wife went to school in mid town(FIT) so that is where I spent most of my weekends. cidamelo
junkie2115 no! I just think Liberty City doesn't have the atmosphere of a 3rd World city, because it is organized, unlike 3rd world cities! I think I'll buy Crysis 2!!! It seems pretty cool! But I don't like FPS too much......

cidamelo
tripmills but I think Liberty City has to be gritty and dirty, like GTA III I rather a gritty Liberty City than a perfect New York, it suits GTA more Anyway, 3rd world cities are waaaay more disorganized and dirty than Liberty City All the streets and roads in Liberty City are flawless, and here almost every road is full of roles Friends will my computer run Crysis 2? It runs GTA IV with almost everything in maximum with 25 FPS. And casual gamers like me can like Crysis 2? I'm afraid of not like the game

JOSEPH X
Liberty City is showing its age when you put it alongside Crysis' NYC. They look like they're made on different generations of consoles.

The thing is that Crysis 2 is not open world, so it can focus better on certain areas.
Stinky12
GTA IV Liberty City focus more on the general way of life in NYC so to some it may look unfamiliar. Crysis 2 targets into the city by focusing on more important parts of the city, place many will recognize even if they have never set foot. Also the game doesn't support DX11 therefore any system with decent hardware and video card should have no issues playing it.

Not many games do support DX11, but they still manage to run like sh*t. A DX11 patch has been confirmed for Crysis 2 anyways, and will apparently utilize it to it's fullest; Rock, Paper, Shotgun article This shall test my new GTX 580 perfectly, since it never dips below 50 on my custom max settings /gloat
OverTheBelow
Hopefully we'll actually be able to notice a difference between DX9 and DX11 without taking a huge performance hit for once, haha.
