Microsoft and Rockstar are following an intelligent marketing strategy...You can see its steps... I. They released the game for two major consoles....(they said nothing about the PC edition) II. Then they released the PC edition which has Independence Fm, Video Editor and Great High Graphic Settings...[My game runs perfectly after the patches,like a movie ] III. Most of Xbox owners who has much money bought the PC edition of the game again ...I knew it from the GFWL players accounts when you look the compare games, most of them have Xbox and PC edition of GTA IV... IV.And again %60-%70 of GTA IV players meet GFWL with this game when you look player accounts again...Microsoft know this V.Microsoft wants to sell more consolles with TBOGT and EFLC...They sell console,they sell disc version,they sell add-on.... VI.Some of Xbox owners who has much money may bought the disc version of EFLC altough they have already download the TLAD...Becuse of disc version has extra radio channels or somethings etc... VII.When EFLC and ADD-ON TBOGT reach the sales life on Xbox LIVE it 'll came to PC by GFWL which is brother of XBOX LIVE... VIII.It'll came to PC by two way I think.... DLC will come I'm sure, it would be a waste for them having something almost ready to sell and keep it in the shelfs. My gueess is that BGT will sell lot less, yes GTA sold very nice, because was exclusive and easy to pirate on XBox, but not on PS3 (with pirate i also mean play for free the multyplayer mode) ... also there was no PC version, even with piracy I'm sure it would outsell any console. I went to many stores weeks before it was released in Europe I pre-ordered in 4 diferent places, the first who got was where I bought. I know tons of people with the game already and they didn't picked it up from the store. They didn't play the 1st episode bc there was no DVD version, but now that is they striking hard. Game developers only beat piracy in one single way, multyplayer ... if they get good ideas, rewards and specialy a good multyplayer who realy wants it will buy. I didn't bought or played any other game after GTA4, I play a online Free to Play game and waiting for COD MW2 ... and if DLC comes I'll be there like I was for GTA4, I'm just sad they keep screwing us because of others. Oh and btw ... I've read that GTAIV LCS manual has a possible hint on the next game place ... looks like a rural landscape ... hope they go to a place like SA with the IV engine, that would be awesome. I think there are good chances that we may get EFLC sometime next year, maybe these subtle hints from R* (which they say are mistakes) really mean something . You couldn't do worse than Rockstar. I think I will hencforth refer to Rockstar games by their original name DMA Designs because rock stars they are Not. I agree. PC is Not dying at all. there are tons of games made for PC each year that do not show up on console versions. A lot of great games like STALKER are made for PC first THEN ported to console.. as it should be. You never hear of a bad port from PC to console but there are tons of bad ports from console to PC. This is because the devs don't design the game around the PC first. Game devs now all suck because the take the cheap and easy way out. They design games for consoles which requires much less central processing power and much less graphics processing power. Its easy for them to do so. They can use sub standard textures and models and not have to worry about fancy even high end Direct X 9 or Direct X 10 features - because consoles don't support them. What happens when a console gamer playes his first PC game? He's blown away by all the awesome eye candy and extra goodies like a real save and load screen. Nope. PC isnt dying.. the console makers just want you kiddies to think that so you will buy their crappy consoles and their crappy games.. and have a much less satisfying game experience.. they don't care about gamers.. they are just out for the money. Another good example of this is Turok (2008). The graphics were worse than Farcry released in 2004! One day hopefully game devs will get a clue and we will all be better off. You will be making a stupid mistake if you do that. Rockstar Games is not a single studio, it's a brand owned by Take-Two Interactive. Some developers were bought by Take-Two and they are now part of the Rockstar Games brand. Some examples: Rockstar Toronto (the ones that ported the PC version of GTA IV - so the ones to blame due to a bad port), Rockstar North (this one the former DMA Designs), Rockstar Leeds, and so on. If you call Rockstar Games DMA Designs, you'll just look stupid. Anyway... there aren't tons of games being developed for the PC. Sorry to tell you, but you should pay more attention to the games that are being released. Btw, STALKER was never ported to the consoles, and as far as I know, it won't. Look at the list of exclusives or multiplatform games that appear on the consoles only, and you'll see the difference. I have heard about bad ports from PC to consoles. Want a quick example? The Orange Box on the PS3 is a badly port done by EA Games. PC gaming is not dead and it won't die, but we're facing some of the worst years in this platform. No great games and bad ports, stupid anti-piracy measures, etc. Still, we have some fault on all of this: piracy. I mean, we PC gamers complain about our games, yet we don't do much efforts to BUY them. Isn't that true? I know there are still people out there who buy games for the PC (me included) but most of you just complain about all games you get for FREE! Is that fair? Producers work so we can have games, and you just download them without paying a cent. This is the result. One last thing: consoles and their games are not crappy. They have lots of great games that I would love to have on the PC. You seem to hate consoles, but don't be such a fanboy, please. I will tell you why because Microsoft are stopping you. That is right a company that OWES it's very damn existence to the PC is busy selling it down the f*cking river and pouring billions of dollars earned from the PC into a damn console. Yeah from a PC gamers perspective Microsoft is "pure sh*t" and from a GTA fans perspective Microsoft is "pure sh*t". Infact I can't think of any perspective where Microsoft isn't "pure sh*t". Thats Microsoft in a nutshell dominating the PC industry isn't enough for them they want the console market too and then who knows what. They won't be satisfied until everybody has a PC with Microsoft Windows and a xbox 360 or two just incase of the RROD. I'm surprised at the lengths Microsoft has gone to in their attempts to get people who don't want a 360 to go and buy one, they're usually satisfied cutting us PS3 users out.
