Yes I do refer to R* games. Since the DLC is actually something worth buying/paying for. Three multiplayer maps and a 'zombie' map for 10 bucks isn't actually alot. 20 bucks for a new storyline, new multiplayer and such is on the other hand quite cheap (though I haven't played TLAD). I wouldn't buy neither (nor pirate it) as I don't like this form of game exploitation. And we PC users have to wait for half year or no support/contents/addons and all. Well, PC Gaming is dying. Im sure Sony will put 8800GTX in their new PS4 and MicroCock will put GTX260 216 in their X-Treme360. Then PC will get really lost. Well done. Yes, and without the PC hardware and PC hardware developers, where do you thing they will get their bits and pieces to build consoles? PC gaming is not dying, gaming as a whole is going through a painful process of commercialization. I reckon you're right.. Same thing is happening in the music industry of all genres. The only difference is that small time people are releasing QUALITY music and the Internet age has allowed everyone access to it. If only quality games could be pumped out like music. If they have to choose between the Xbox 360 and the PC, of course they will choose the console. It gives a lot more money. But... they also work with the PC, just look at GTA IV, how similar is it compared to the 360 version? The multiplayer interface, achievements, Games for WINDOWS LIVE... everything is from Microsoft, and I bet they paid good money to have that ingame. How many companies would want to have a share in GTA IV sales? Rockstar would probably say yes to STEAM from Valve, or other companies. Why Microsoft? These exclusive DLCs are just temporary exclusives IMO. They want to boost up the 360 sales, but sooner or later, after TBOGT is released, things will calm down, and I bet they will port the DLCs to the PC with that "Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City" thing, just to get more money. It won't be really hard to port the episodes, because most of the work was already done when IV was ported. It's just a matter of adding the new bikes, weapons, multiplayer mods, scripts, dialogues, music, TV shows, etc., and optimize for the PC. I bet a good modder would be able to add the entire The Lost and Damned on the PC if he had the files. Don't forget how easy was to create that "TLAD unlocked on the PC" mod. I think we, PC gamers, have more chances of getting these Episodes than the PS3 users. Only time will tell, but I believe that in 2010 we will get these episodes. His answer was vague, but he said "unlikely." It wasn't enough for me to give up hope entirely, partly because of the deer in headlights look, but my hopes have been reduced. I gave him the whole "talking frankly, like buddies do" thing and he didn't really care. His response was: It's unlikely. He hasn't heard anything about it coming to the PC, and he doesn't think the company is working on it. If it were released, it would be a long time from now because he hasn't heard anything. I know that the RROD is now solved, but not every single person will get a Jasper unit, so if the person gets an older Falcon or Zephyr console, he'll still get the RROD. Nobody would pay this guy to stand around and look pretty, not that he was ugly. His accent was from North America. I don't know anything else about him. I don't work in the gaming industry, a friend and I were going to the Laker game, and we both looked like it. I gave myself about 4 hours to get into and wander E3. Between being late and convincing someone to help me get in I only had 1 1/2 hours inside. It was a very brief encounter, and I can only believe that the person was a rep. alooper21 Posted June 9, 2009 Share Posted June 9, 2009 Trust me, there will be DLC pack releases for PC and PS3 by end of this year. not by the end of the year, but maybe in the first half of the next. there will be a few months between releases. i also think there will be dlc for pc, and i expect something like a "new version" with all three games packed together. it happened before with generation 3. And every new DLC they make just means it's even longer and longer untill the next GTA. You're all basically wanting Rockstar to release more DLC, and for PC, so Rockstar can make even more money without having to make a sequel. DLC is just a fast, easy and cheap way for them to make more money from gamers, as they don't have to go to the bother of making a whole new city. why ranting? i don't get it! rockstar doesn't just make "gheap dlc". cheap dlc would be some new suits and a few more sites, and one more sports car. but they give you a story that completes on another story and you call it cheap dlc? i'm verry sure they are working on the next city already. and it's gonna be massive, huge, just huge! a state! smaller cities, maybe, but more space! I hope it will be released to PC they were still "in the family", on sony's ground, so is not such a big breaking of an exclusive. still, when nothing's left but hope all you can do is hope, just like "the shawshank redemption". aldo i doubt these two little gems will ever come for pc, since their generation is not "in production" anymore at this level. rockstar can't work at such level for the top systems, it would be odd nowadays. imagine how would it be if they anounce gta2 for xbox360. awkword, isn't it? I still think it shows that even exclusive content has an expiry date and I assume that they don't have an contract to keep it exclusive for 360 for eternity. Since the quality of graphics is already improved a lot that the city looks more real and a lot more details have been added in, i dont think i expect the what you called new sequels, but i expect more interesting and exciting story, TLAD story is too short that it only got few mission. so all im looking for is a longer, more interesting and exciting DLC. or if they can make a brand new city.
