The Notorious MOB Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) I noticed something too.. It wasn't something Packie said though it was something that Ray said about Teddy Benevidez. At the start of the mission "A Long Way To Fall" Ray sends Niko to kill Teddy because he hasn't been paying him back his "Vig" aka the interest on a loan, that he was given by Ray. So I'm thinking maybe that loan has something to do with the money for the Diamonds. Like maybe Luis persuaded Teddy to borrow some money from Ray for him so he and Tony could buy the Diamonds. Teddy would have agreed to this because presumably if the diamonds were sold they would be sold for a lot more than they were bought for and Teddy would make a profit on his investment.. as would Ray. This would explain how Ray knows about the diamond deal and why he feels the ice belongs to him. Then of course Ray does whats best for himself and screws everybody over by getting Ashley to get The Lost to steal the Diamonds and Cutting the Dominicans (Teddy and Luis) out of the loop. Then he screws The Lost over by not giving them a fair payment for their work (which ultimately leads Johnny to steal the money).
