I completely agree. I've always wondered what Bernie was like back in Europe during and before the war. How different was he? As he is in Liberty (basically a stereotype), it's hard to believe that he even served, much less survived an ambush where the only other survivor (besides Darko) was Niko, whose ability to survive seems much more plausible.

 

In any case, I highly doubt there will ever be a main character who is gay simply because of all the homophobes. But, like andysniper said:

Heh... I live in Baltimore and I've run into my fair share of "homothugs," it's really weird, None of them are quite as badass as Omar or the gay guy that seems like Bruce Willis or Chuck Norris on the surface (and yes, as someone else said, they do exist). The bar I work at is on the same block as a gay bar in a fairly rough neighborhood and there's these ghetto gay guys that go there that are f*cking psycho, they're always getting into fights and threatening to shoot each other and sh*t. As I said, they aren't like masculine tough gay guys... more just like really pissed off crazy ghetto black girls in guys' bodies. The first time I saw it I was just like "wtf?" I'm a white guy from the suburbs, all of the gay people I'd meet are either like flamers or just like really nice and polite and sh*t... but there is such thing as a "homothug".

Im sure a lot of you will have lisps by the time youre done with the ballod of gay tony, just because when youre around something long enough, you start to pick up the same habbits. I find that playing the games over, there've been a number of gay references in GTA. Could be realistically that someone or more then one person at Rockstar is gay and wanted representation in the characters. It's mainly about making it diverse and realistic, so there's no real problem. Obviously Brucie is homo-phobic with bi-tendencies.

 

You people encouraging the youngster to get the game, shame on you, BTW. He shouldn't have it until he's of age. Parents will be the deciding factor until then
