That's 9 stations they can add music to! But since Beat 102.7 already has so many songs, I believe they won't do it this time round, and probably The Journey and IF99 has a little chance of making it in. I believe we'll still see San Juan, ElectroChoc, K109, The Vibe and probably JNR being updated. Maybe even The Classics if they're generous enough! That's 5-6 stations!

Wrong. Little Jacob will probably listen to Tuff Gong Radio (Reggae) or Massive B Soundsystem (Dancehall/Ska), which are Jamacian music. IF99 is basically afrobeat and funk, which is in the same "league" as JNR and The Journey. Probably something Luis would listen to, although a little far-fetched.

in a modern day club disco is not really played unless it is a 70s club

Possibly a Latin Jazz/Fusion segment added to Fusion FM, along with some Dominican reggaeton on San Juan Sounds. The rest of the station updates will probably be all club-orientated, i.e. electro-choc (maisonette 9), vibe & k109 (hercules).

I think the song "Me Estas Tentando" by Wisin y Yandel will be on San Juan Sounds. I don't know why but when I hear it it fits with the BOGT theme.

 

Also Radio Broker should get the song "Sonido Total" by the Pinker Tones.

 

But that's just my opinon.

I can definitely see Electro Choc and K109 The Studio have some new music in their lineups. One of them might even have a new DJ like what they did to The Beat 102.7 and LCHC in TLAD.

 

Since Luis is Dominican and there is a following of Reggaeton in Dominican Republic, it wouldn't be strange to have more songs on San Juan Sounds either.

 

The Vibe might work but I'm guessing that it'll be like LCHC and play songs that are different from its lineup.

 

As for the last radio station that adds new songs, my guess would either be JNR because of the Ancelotties or The Classics because of Luis's actual lifestyle.

 

Liberty Rock Radio, LCHC, Radio Broker, The Beat 102.7, and WKTT (if you want to count that) shouldn't even be touched at all since they already have new songs from TLAD as well as the fact that (with the possible exception of The Beat 102.7) none of those stations fit with what BOGT is about.

 

And I'm guessing that you can listen to TLAD songs on BOGT and vise versa because the songs on TLAD were one of the very few things that carried over to the main game as well as the fact that both TLAD and BOGT will be release together in Episodes from Liberty City.

Where's some good ROCK selections, not just metal, however, like SA and their rap stations, both Vice City games had some great hard rock and metal. I'd like to see that expand if not just continue again. It is totally lack-luster on the main GTA4 game.

 

ROCKSTAR need to hold up the ROCK end of their name to re-gain some respect! Come on, Sam and Dan, you know you can!!

Slamman, they added loads of Rock worthy songs in TLAD, more than enough if you ask me, they really improved the lack luster vanilla station. But now its really the electro and dance time to shine.

I can never get enough Rock, and I'm not talking the thrash metal end, but just classic rock as the Stones and Beatles are still absent, and the Eagles... artists that stand the test of time like Ted Nugent who appeared in short form with Stranglehold, and Journey, REO, Styx, or just a more classic throwback to the 70s. For one thing, The Journey station is too short in my opinion, and like the jazz one, I would like both those expanded as well, and get Lazlow some new material!

 

As an aside, Ricky Garveis has a new American film comedy coming out where the characters can't tell a lie, and then he discovers he can one day, and it just seemed from the preview that it's a far cry from GTA's comedy club's skit. A different side of him.

 

What new comedy could they add, if they even dared to get a name celeb? I wish they would but they've fought against doing so with the hassles.

Should add that Sam Houser publically stated the theme idea for GTA 4 in particular, but I don't recall a prior idea to thematically choose the stations and songs. I do recall them saying the staff argues over the selections at length as well, the same way you see it publically debated, on a smaller scale, but he was unwilling to disclose the contention factor... I suspect it might have been rather polarized as well, it's not always one big happy family.

Yeah but, would you really want to listen to thrash head metal music for rednecks when your in a nightclub. Believe it or not slamman, the world doesn't revolve around you . Tis a sad time when one realizes that. But if you like BOGT or not, you dont *have* to listen to the music if you dont want to. All you have to do is press a button and change the station. Rock music isn't really the theme for BOGT, more likely TLAD, which added die hard rock elements (so i've heard). And to me, im not really a heavy rocker so i really didn't like TLAD and i got over it pretty quick.

 

Now with BOGT, thats something ill never get over . *Goes off and buys a cheap Xbox 360*
