Omnia sunt Communia
I feel sorry for this kid; first image result to come up when searching for "Ballad of Gay Tony" on Google Images: Poor fella.
GuruAskew
Maybe that kid is openly gay and proud of it. All I know is I hope Rockstar reads all these posts and makes the game twice as gay as it was originally planned just to piss off all these pathetic homophobes. i like coffee enemas
Wowawooza! First post from me on TBOGT. Right then, thoughts? Hahahaha The Ballad of Gay Tony?! Seriously Rockstar? Man, that's hysterical. This is really going to grind Jack Thompson's gears and the best part is that he can do EEEEEEELLLLLL ZILCHOOOO about it. Kudos to you R*, kudos to you. Okay then, on to the game. We can pretty much assume that Gay Tony is going to have a BIIIIIIIIG role in this game. Especially considering that whenever we encounter Luis in the story he's either with Gay Tony or running errands for Gay Tony. Which leads me to believe that Luis is fiercly loyal to Gay Tony. Misplaced sense of trust though maybe? Me thinks. He possibly lost the plot once Teddy Benevides died and clung to the closest person who'd have him. That being Gay Tony. Who knows? Gay Tony could actually be one of the good guys but he could also be the villain. Either could work really. Anyway, depending on which path R* have decided to take Gay Tony and Luis' relationship, I think that the moral decisions feature could possibly make a return. The main decision being whether to kill/spare Gay Tony for whatever reason. Thoughts? My personal thoughts on this post? I said "Gay Tony" too much Edited May 27, 2009 by leelee862
JOSEPH X
Leelee, you do know about the radio report at the end of the game, don`t you? His clubs get closed down in the end. I`m pondering another rags-to-rags story where Luis has to move back in with his mum coz he`s brok eand that will be your only safehouse. I`m pessimistic
GTA3Freak-2001
Odd name but I like the premise, something different from the gritty biker related theme in TLAD.
BikerAndy
Godammit, you go away for a few days and bloody GTA turns gay. I can't leave you guys in charge of anything! Seriously though, the title takes a bit of getting used to, I really wasn't sure about it when I read it this morning but I'm getting used to it now. It doesn't really scream GTA to me though. Lost and Damned - that's a pretty brooding title. You kind of know what you're getting. Ballad of Gay Tony - flower arranging side missions anyone? lol. All stereotyping aside though, the title means nothing. We all know it's all about the content. I still kind of feel the title is a little, um, wet? Absolutely no homophobia here, I couldn't give a crap about sexuality of the sprites on my tv. Bernie was a great addition to vanilla IMO, chasing him through the park with his camp run anyone? Hilarious! But as a title it just seems a little lacking to me. Can't wait to see what's involved though. (Hooray, got through the post without once saying the title left a bad taste in my mouth! )

I mean, I'd settle for a riches to rags storyline, but another rags to rags? Please, no. I'm usually pessimistic about everything but right now, I'm trying damn it, I'm trying to stay optimistic, but after the last disappointment (TLAD was awesome but still disappointing, nevertheless), it's hard. I'm slowly losing faith in R* and the GTA franchise on a whole. I'm staying loyal, don't get me wrong. But still... EDIT: By the way, any mention of the elusive Mr. Ray Bulgarin yet? Now there is one dark horse I really can't wait to see again Edited May 27, 2009 by leelee862
El Zilcho
I really want it to have a rags to riches, seriously. I don't want Luis to get his swanky penthouse burned down! U R B A N I T A S
MC.
Yes. Thank goodness that Luis Fernando Lopez is the protagonist and not Patrick McReary or some other punk. Now the pieces of the puzzle for Impossible Trinity can now be connected. In your face to SOME of the people who said it was going to be someone else. I'm glad that the title is not Blood And A Four Leaf Clover though.

uk_john
Comments about the next DLC The Ballad of Gay Tony, just makes me realise there are still cavemen in our 21st century so-called civilization. Thank you Rockstar for coming up with a title that brings these bigots out into the open. Still, doesn;t mean whether the DLC will be any good or not, and of course, if it will be out on my, my gaming format.

Um, I think I've only seen one comment that you could call bigotted(?) in any way. The majority have said things like 'what an odd title'. And I think it is an odd title. In my opinion it's the first half of it (The Ballad of) that is a bit limp, not the part you are obviously referring to (Gay Tony). If you told me that the main protagonist was actually Gay Tony, I'd still never in a million years guess that the title would be called The Ballad of Gay Tony. nlitement
Guys let's discuss thee EEEEEEEEEEEOMOGMGOGMOGM AWESOME! Finally we get to live a little more lavish, none of that TLAD over the top poverty or Niko's semi-richness of walking in rented suits and living in East Village condos. CryptReaperDorian
I hope they don't pull a 'Stubbs' on us again with Gay Tony You know how to scare Gay Tony away? Hire Roman to go up to him and say "TITTIES!". Seriously though, the title is a little odd. It would be kind of embarrasing to go up to your friends and say you're going to download "The Ballad of Gay Tony". You'll get all of these weird looks, but I'm sure the DLC will kick ass. I just hope Luis isn't gay. That would be f*cked up to replace the street hookers with gigolos. "Hey sugarbuns! Wanna ride the bad boy train?" JamesGunot
i think its gonna be quite similar to the tommy verceti ricardo diaz thing from vice city. people are hoping luis has a mansion i would like this to however he is only a bodygaurd so i doubt we will start with one. so with gay tony being broke he involves luis in some deals earns his trust then sets him up to be killed or something similar i dunno just a theroy
CHOOKOKABRA
Hell, I just hope theres more marijuana use in this DLC. Niko was a puss, Johny was a puss, correct me if Im wrong but neither took a single toke the entire game though they were offered. Hell CJ only got stoned because, by default, if you hang around a crop of burning weed then your probably gonna get high. So Im hoping since drug dealing will be featured, probably alot, that ol Luis is gonna take a bong rip or two. Though with my luck the only drug consumption hes gonna do is put a frickin needle in his arm, which would just ruin the game for me, Im cool with the protagonist being a stoner but not a goddamn junkie. Enjoii
Although I wouldn't say that they were 'pussies' because they didn't smoke weed, there could be a chance of a drug dealing or delivery system, because of Luis' ties with the Northwood Dominican Drug Dealers. That's ignoring the controversy that implementing a full drug-dealing system would likely raise, of course.

Tyla
Maybe something like Scarface: The world is yours had. You could buy Cocaine, and sell Cocaine. You could even kill the dealers to keep your cash. I could see Drug Dealing being implemented, but on the other side I could see someone like Gay Tony(or a high-ranking Ancelotti) could warn you from drug-dealing, because of the concequences. Enjoii
Uhm... Chinatown Wars had it. You already know this, so what do you mean with a 'full' drug dealing system? True, I had actually forgotten about Chinatown Wars' system. However because of the realism level of IV it's would be likely to raise more attention than the essentially point-and-click interface that Chinatown Wars used.
