@haints hmm maybe u have an older scripthook.dll, I should have provided one in the release. Try get a new one from another current asi mod.

Do any current mods for patch 5 work?

I think I had the old sound.dll which came with the previous version of your mod?

 

Also, I use xliveless, which I think is supposed to allow modding, right?

 

Anyway, some mods worked with patch 5, but others didn't, like a mod to skip all the logos/loading screens ...

 

In general, I don't really like patch 5--I'd like to stick with patch 4, if I could.

For some reason with me and my 360 controller controller it was working perfectly when I first installed the mod then a minute later it just randomly broke and the vertical axis stopped respoding with this addon while in firstperson. I don't know what would be the cause of this but I'm not the only one here witht his issue as well luckily.

In general, I don't really like patch 5--I'd like to stick with patch 4, if I could.

I like this version more than this one. I dont like that you removed Steer With Mouse and all that sh*t. I dont like that the camera sometimes changes into 3rd person.

Mouse steering isn't removed. I use it just about every time I play. It might be disabled in the ini by default.

Saw this in the readme file.

 

RingR = 255  Value of the color red in the outer ring of the crosshair.

RingG = 255  Value of the color green  in the outer ring of the crosshair.

RingB = 255  Value of the color blue in the outer ring of the crosshair.

RingA = 155  Value of the color red in the outer ring of the crosshair.

RingS = 15  Value of the color alpha in the outer ring of the crosshair.

Would I be correct to assume that RingA is alpha and RingS is size?

Yeah, I want to know this too.

dsound.dll as a loader should work fine haints.

 

 

@iDash Mouse steering is just disabled by default but u can reenable it in the ini by binding to a key of your choice other then 0

As is classic view and cruise control.

Personally i use a red dot in the center, easyer to see.

 

I cant say for sure if it works with Xliveless I never use it.

 

I added another temporary release while I await the next script hook update so I can fix aiming.

You only really need the current release (1.21) If you have trouble with a gamepad looking up or down.

Yeah I got that, I was just hoping you had an idea which ENB setting in particular. I already tried disabling sky lighting and light rays, setting all light-related modifiers to 1.0, and disabling original post-processing. The smears remain! Anyway I won't waste any more space in this topic about the problem.

 

 

The mod is awesome, but when I'm aiming down my weapon it shoots a bit to the right. Can you fix that?

This is a known bug that c0balt said he will fix.

Thanks Rob, but yep this is what i mean when i say the aiming is skewed. Hope to get it fixed sometime. But i still await a hook update.

 

@AngryAmoeba I didnt use enb, cant say for sure whay it would do this . My only guess is near and far clip related.

I said too that i dont like that the camera is changing into 3rd person - for example - when i duck to wall or when i push people with meele. It was more realistic with always-1st-person.

 

sorry for my bad english.

If I put a minus number in the config for any of these:

 

FPX = 0

FPY = 0

FPZ = 0

 

The game crashes instantly when I go into first person, positive numbers work but then I can only offset the camera upwards, forwards and left which is a shame for me because I want to move it in all the other directions, I even think moving it to the right a bit would fix the crosshair being too far left.

 

Also, I remember in an earlier version you couldn't see motion blur through a window but now you can see motion blur only through a window. Is there any chance of a config option to change this back to not seeing it through a window again? (unless you can have it so you can see it either way).

 

I think the motion blur looks amazing when you're riding on a bike in first person but looks terrible when flying a helicopter; being able to change it back would fix both of these issues for me, but of course configurable so people can choose which they like best.

 

I also agree with making melee, cover use and drivebys to be in first person too, configurable if you can so those who like the third person parts can still use them.

 

The mod is still brilliant as it is, I don't want to sound ungrateful or anything with these requests because I'm still using it and am happy with its current state but if you're ever thinking of what you could do with it then please take these into consideration.

 

 

When i start the game and press the view button real quick, it just doesn't work. I put the .ASI thing in the root folder right next to dsound.dll can someone help me with this Jesus of a mod?

Some asi mods didn't work for me but I think that was what fixed it (I did a couple of things though so it's not definite).
