this is pretty much my favorite mod period, is their any chance you can do more camera mod's like a Centered driving cam? you know how the ones are tilted to the left, its kinda annoying, was wandering if you could make a straight one...

I've been asking for this for months already!!! I stopped playing GTA IV at 50% completed, because of the annoying car cam! sad.gif

I'd still like there to be a fix or something so I can use my 360 controller up and down.................. :S

If you change the controller settings to inverted verticle axis, then you can look up and down.

 

Only you'll have to spend quite a few minutes getting used to it being inverted (it'll suck at first but you should be used to it well before an hour).

 

Of course it needs fixing still, but there's a work around for the meantime.

The ping pong ball on his face is the first person camera I guess. Also earlier today I saw my shadow and it was headless.

 

I don't know if you really need to fix these bugs since they're pretty minor.

I haven't seen the golf ball effect but the headless Niko in First Person is normal. While in a car it avoids Niko's face getting in front of the camera like when you brake hard. It's a major improvement over what was possible in San Andreas: you had the choice between having all of CJ visible or invisible, CJ's face obstructing the view at times or seeing your car driven by an invisible man. A headless Niko suits me just fine!

I just thought maybe there's a way for the shadow of his head to appear even though his head is invisible. But yeah, it's not a big deal.

 

But C06alt, are you still working on this mod? The view constraints are a little buggy for me (as I already told you a while ago).

I'm not sure if this issue was raised before but when standing next to a wall on the right or left the

true aim is pushed in the opposite direction of the wall/obstacle while the crosshair remains in the middle.

 

In short, standing next to a wall messes up my aim.

i had this mod working before i don't remember how but now when i install it it won't work it just won't work

 

i placed the firstperson.asi and .ini in game root folder

 

i use 1.0.3.0 with intro patch to skip the intro

 

 

and alice,xliveless,scripthook i think thats it

Hey mate, a tip for the face cam problem *if it's still not fixed* move it back just inside his head and then turn on ignore back face culls, that way it'll seem like the cams still in front of him but it'll in fact be inside him and it'll look well... good lol.gif

 

EDIT: yeah i think i did OC lol

 

EDIT2: dude above me... you need to calibrate your controller.. google how to fix it, it's easy but i can't be assed explaining lol.gif

Any chance for an update for this mod is still in the works?

 

My 2 cents...

 

I would like the mouse to turn the whole body not just the head. I get the whole Arma 2 control of it but I don't think it works for this game. This would be the biggest improvement for me and would make this mod feel complete. An option in the ini file would due. Fix this and I will love you!

 

The next biggest issue I would like changed is the cruise control. I just wish it would stay on. I love the cruise control this mod brings but dislike having to turn it on again every time I go over a hill or make a semi-sharp turn sad.gif

 

I don't like that the camera backs out of first person when melee and knife fighting. I'm not sure I would like it if it didn't either until I could see it in action first though. This is not too important but may be an improvement.

 

There is a problem with the cameras' height in some vehicles but again not a big problem for me. No biggie.

 

And of course there is the 360 controller problem although I'm using a Logitech Rumblepad I'm experiencing the same problem. I can live with this one since I'm quite good with the inverted controls fix for this thanks to Flight Simulator biggrin.gif

 

 

Things aren't all bad though...

 

I love the camera lock!

 

I love the cruise control... Just needs some tweaking!

 

I love the auto look behind when backing up in a vehicle! ... Although some people don't.

 

And of course I love the fixed first person view from the previous first person driver mod! Now I don't see inside my head while im driving around!

 

I'm no modder so I have to depend on you to make these changes please help!

 

I still find the overhead view useless sorry moto_whistle.gif
