Experimental Oculus Rfit Headtracking support. note: (You will still need something like Tridef for the sbs and warping).  If you do happen to have a rift and tridef, you need to disable headtracking in tridef and restart or the FirstPerson.asi headtracking wont hook in. Also with tridef you need to rename dsound.dll when starting and rename it back once the first popup window appears. HippieCommunist
@_@  this is f*cking PERFECT! he had to make cover, fist fights, etc.. playable, coz every action had a small problem spoiling the game flow (im not talking about the fact it was alot harder, THAT i liked) and so he did. as always... amazing work! lemonwire
Thanks C06alt!  Just tried it just then.  Is the crosshair meant to only appear when you shoot, or when you aim and shoot? I can't see the crosshair until I fire a shot, then it disappears again.  BTW, now Niko can shoot at close range so here's a cookie.

C06alt
Great!  But... for v.1.0.2? Look at the old topic.. Thx but no info on new version for 1.0.2 there... Because this mod uses several specific memory addresses to adjust the aim offset and detect certain actions the player does it makes backward compatibility time consuming.  @HippieCommunist Sniper Yeah  @geokes I will think about reactivating it for those actions maybe by choice but its difficult to make it look good because of nearclip issues.  Ill try it with out aim toggle on mouse i always use toggle but i assumed it would pick it up either way. If anyone has an xbox controller let me know if it displays the crosshair for free aim half squeeze on the left and right trigger? I don't have a trigger controller so I cant test.  Thanks for your kind comments all .

WolvenWolf
GREAT MAN, CONGRATZ!!! IT'S AN AAWESOME MOD IN DEED Here is an idea: if you are wearing glasses, your sight is affected, like if you wear the default sunglasses, then you see everything slightly brown. Anyway good work. I guess the next step is making FP when you look behind and taking cover right?
Symbiote
Found a bug: when you're in first-person on foot looking forward and you press and release the 'look behind' button, instead of changing the view back to looking straight ahead, it moves the camera view to the far left or right. Also it would be nice if the camera in the look-behind view were right behind Niko's head instead of going third-person. XXLpeanuts
Â Found a bug: when you're in first-person on foot looking forward and you press and release the 'look behind' button, instead of changing the view back to looking straight ahead, it moves the camera view to the far left or right. Also it would be nice if the camera in the look-behind view were right behind Niko's head instead of going third-person. this is because niko turns his head to look back and the camera is fixed to his head so when it turns back (you let go of the button) he is still looking to the side. Â Â Oh and i would like to ask you know the aiming recticle, well when you press the aim button (default right mouse button - hold) the recticle does not appear untill you actualy fire the gun so your first shot or two are not on target and you have to move it onto hte target while firing wasting a lot of ammo especially with MP5/UZI and M4/AK Edited May 25, 2009 by XXLpeanuts
C06alt
@AngryAmoeba It should ideally be the way you describe. I believe the camera constraints are causing the problem here. Bug noted. ty. Â There is the option to spin nico 360 when you press look back but its complicated to do this i think when nico is moving without it being unnatural or having complicated side effects. Currently you can at least use look back for its best use which is geting an instant lock on somone behind you and turning 180. Â look back then while looking back raise your aim. Â Ive discoverd that occasioanly in some missions the camera may get stuck or you may see a headless nico, If you have any sort of problems like this, change out of first person with the view key and back again and the problem should be solved. Symbiote
I just found this curious behavior: on foot if you look to the side and hit the view restraint too quickly, the view jumps to the restraint on the other side. Â EDIT: It stopped happening and now I can't reproduce it. Edited May 25, 2009 by AngryAmoeba
Dhatz
what i absolutely have to be sure about if i have to go to 1.0.3 is that we can modify all img and wtd files and all data files too. and there must be functional asi loader. Can anyone with 1.0.3 confirm all that?
geokes
Been playing with it abit more... When you aim(RMB) sometimes it points in weird directions, eg. the ceiling so the "jumps" if you see what i mean. When your shooting someone when they're down the crosshair stays in the center of the screen. Â You could make which things are fp or not in the .ini . Â One of my must have mods. andysonofbob
@C06alt  When you are travelling by train you cant change your view so you are stuck looking on the inside. When you try to change view, the colours just change from B&W to colour.  Smallest bug but just thought you should know...  -----edit------  The in-car view is MUCH better now you have taken off the jolting when breaking! Great work.
Symbiote
C06alt it's nice what you've done with the view constraints, but to be honest I liked it better without them. Before, I could stand in one place and look around freely with the mouse (like I'd be able to in real life). Now, it's clunky to look all around you because you have to turn Niko's body with the keyboard to move the view constraints, and he doesn't always turn the way you expect him to. The problem stems from GTA4's kind of clumsy movement, which is much less problematic in 3rd-person. Personally I would just remove the constraints and ignore the empty neck-hole behind you. C06alt
@AngryAmoeba Ill add an ini option in future to disable constraints. There better on by default tho as you can only hide nicos head. no other charactor. Â @andysonofbob yep noticed the train one, not sure what can be done. Like u said small bug that i could chase around for hours. Â @geokes aiming is a little problematic for people at your feet yep. Also i know this jumping, wil look into it. Â @XXLpeanuts change Aim to toggle in options for now. Â Â Â
andysonofbob
@ C06alt  You cant see the mission chevrons when you are first person viewing in the car. If you blow out the windscreen it fixes the problem but that sort of seems a bit silly. Is this problem similar to the traffic light problems the mod had in an earlier version?  All the best  Andy  ----edit----  This sort of makes it difficult to see the cars you are meant to be chasing or the exact spot you need to drive onto to accept a new mission etc...
