More control over dying

Recently I was playing GTAIV and went on a bit of a rampage. After running from the cops for a while I had little health and was holding out in a gas station. Cops started swarming me so knowing I was about to get shot and die I pulled the pin on a grenade and waited however I got shot and died and the grenade fell to the floor. I heard a cop shout "It's gonna blow!" then he turned and ran and I was looking forward to seeing a huge explosion with flaming cops flying everywhere but the black and white slow motion thing ended before that happened.

 

This is an example of the many deaths where I wished the post-death control would last a bit longer so I could see what happened next. I like how you can control it to an extent, moving the camera around and zooming in and out but I think you should have more control and be able to extend the time, etc. I think it would make dying all that more fun

I completely agree with you, euphoria just adds to suicide bombing which is why they should have the death cam keep on going for ever until the player chooses that all the possible destruction has ended, and he would like to respawn.

Yeah. They should have made it so you could press any button to stop watching.

Yeah, like how does it decide whether to play your death in slow-mo or not? I can recall a few times where it wouldn't go slow-mo when I wish it would.

I think you can play with the speed with one of the sticks while with the other one you move the camara. (for a limited amount of time obviously)

yeah that's right, if you want to let the slo mo scene end just quickly move your joystick around. if you do it slower it will last longer.

B/W slow motion can be ended by hitting A

You can do over minute long slow motion flies, takes bit of luck though.

Usually, I get a normal BW death when I'm shot by the cops. I get the slow-mo death when I die from anything other than cops.

But the resurrection time is longer, many people want to quickly continue game ..

If can adjust yourself whether watching ..

Im on PC and I think you can hit "spacebar " and/or "enter" and it will end the slo-mo or

"screen of death"...which of course I DONT want to do...so I'm not entirely sure!

 

First GTA where its really FUN to die or commit suicide!

Is it just me or what?

 

On IV @ pc, when I get slowmo mode, I can't look around with the camera by moving the mouse decently.

When I look around camera moves but a second later the camera resets angle to Niko.

I think it is fine because its not toooo long, but you get some time to look around.

 

The only problem i have with it, is that you can't pause and reload your game during this time which is a pain cause then you have to wait for the load and the hospital part

I've tried this and it doesn't seem to work for me. I can only control the movement of the camera and zooming in and out but not the actual speed which is really what I want to do to lengthen some of my deaths by watching them in slow-mo.
