Are you a trophies/achievements hunter?

I always go after trophies, not to brag but because it gives me something else to do in the game. I got the Fallout 3 Platinum, and I enjoyed the game more because I did things I never would have done without the trophies. Things like the Bobbleheads and Schematics let me experience more of the game that I wouldn't have bothered with otherwise.

 

But there was a point where I wouldn't buy a game without trophies, but I came to my senses and got MGS4 (That was a great decision, my favourite game of all time now). Would still be great if they patched trophies in anyway, then I'd go through the game a third time and finally try online (The updates are huge).

When I had a 360 I was an achievement addict. First I'd play the game for the story and any achivements gotten were either story based or by accident. Then after beating the game ill look at the list of achivements and go for the ones that seem easy before trying the harder/more time consuming ones. Same with online. With open world games like Saints Row 2 and GTA IV. Id take a break from the storyline missions and go for some achievments like the Meele Counter 'cheeive in IV and complete all Fuzz activities 'cheevie in SR2.

At first I wasn’t a fan but now I just think it’s a really good way to get more out of a game that you spend your hard money on. Since this realisation I try to get 100% whenever possible. That said some take it too far, for example on a PS3 trophies forum I’m a member of some members admit to getting the Hannah Montana movie game just for an easy platinum. I’d be embarrassed to have that on my trophies list!

Yeah I'm an achievements hunter, if I'm motivated to do it. COD4 and Team Fortress 2 (when I was still interested) are examples, as you get rewards from achieving them.

 

Single-player achievements seem to be less motivating than multiplayer ones. I attempt it if it's quick & easy, like the Wheelie one in GTAIV. Harder ones, like the Portal advanced maps or those that require u to complete the whole game again in a certain way, aren't really worth my time.

 

I mainly play games for the fun of it.

I don't really try and go for achievements, it's pretty cool when I'm playing through the story and I receive an achievement. The only game I tried was Madden 09 and I got platinum I guess. I prefer playing games online.

I am at Level 4 around 40% in terms of trophies on the ps3. That's pretty high.. I'm going for platinum FIFA 09 and Cod: WAW . That's how obsessed I am with trophies.

I normally don't go and hunt for trophies or achievements. But there are some games that i must try and get all the trophies like Fallout 3.

I try and get achievements, but it isn't the end of the world for me if I don't get all achievements for a particular game.
