TheGuyFromThere
So I'm installing Battlefield 2 onto my laptop and for some reason; Firstly) It didn't install Secondly) It installed and when I went into the C drive archive and went to execute the .exe, for some reason like 90% of the directory just deleted itself........ and of course it wont work. Wtf? Any ideas how to get this working? I got a real craving for BF... Thanks. EDIT: Problem fixed. Turns out that when the directX installer appears at the end, if you cancel it (which I did, assuming it was a standalone install shield and that I already have it) then the entire game uninstalls itself... I guess this can be locked or deleted or something. Morale of the story is; I'm a dickhead. Edited May 23, 2009 by Dom0803 inactive

C is only for Windows to work much smooth and for programs that you used and RAM to run much better. Games need space to run. And your using the space to run your game in stead to run your Windows/etc. Don't understand if the game saying that you need in (C:) they have to belond in (C:). That's not right. They are puting the (C:) option because is the primary partitions that appear on every Windows and that can not be deleted so easy. (C:) is a main partition because who's making games doesn't know what D/E/F/G/ partition you have and they let you go to choose where you want. So installed somewhere else. If I'm wrong with something, someone correct me please.
copperwire93
Ahh, yes C is good for windows and software but it doesn't affect much in performance so it doesn't matter. For the installation, yeah installshield for BF is really weird, if you cancel any procedure it uninstall itself and thought you canceled the game installation. And Blitz, I don't know why, but I found it hard to understand your English

Oh well. It works fine. I just made the mistake of cancelling the directX but it's fine now. Thanks. inactive
