Least Favourite Mission?

The Ambulance/Vigilante (etc) missions are always a pain in the ass. Especially seeing as they take so long. I remember being a level and half away from getting the safehouse spawn (Ambualnce missions) adrenaline pill (I believe) just to fluke and have to do it again, all of that time wasted! angry.gif

You get the adrenaline pill about half way through. The really annoying thing with the paramedic mission on any of the GTA games is when you fail on the last run of the last level angry.gif

Agree. On PS2 when I was about to get 100% for GTA III, paramedic took me one hundred tries because something kept on happening at level 11. At one try my ambulance ended on it's roof. Another time a cocksucking cop busted me. And then while I was picking up the last patient to finish level 12, he started to run to my ambulance but I went to pickup the police bribe cause another cop was nearby, I went to pick him up but some stupid car crashed into me and my ambulance went 360 grades, running over the patient. I was being like a statue with a handcontrol in my hands that night. When I finally beat it, I was really happy.

Collecting hidden packages in Portland.. It's just so difficult, because of Mafia starting to shoot.. Now 20 of them collected.

That's why it's a good idea to collect all the packages in Portland, before the Leones want to rip out your heart with their bare hands.

Then again it's probably a good idea to collect all the hidden packages before the story's finished since all of the gangs hate Claude.

The Southside sometimes turn on him (rarely), in my experience anyway.

The Yakuza at first hates you until you start working for them (when you unlock Staunton practically). I use to love helping the Yakuza in mini gang battles around the construction area against the Cartel, and sometimes the Yardies.

It's been a while but wasn't there a mission in SSV where you have to commandeer a really slow-moving armoured truck and then take it somewhere whilst being shot at and chased by the FBI? I felt helpless when driving that thing, as if my skill was irrelevant to the end result of the mission.

yeah that one is a real b*tch. mad.gif took me like 20 tries before i passed it, cause you will automatically get 6 stars and they wont go away until the mission is done, no matter what you do. damn military tanks will blow you in a second

Actually that mission is programmed differently. They don't make any FBI or army appear with their vehicles. There may be random roadblocks with Barracks OLs and army dudes wielding AKs (never M16 because it would be impossible then). No tanks, no FBI agents, only police cars will spawn apart from the programmed SWAT vans that are waiting by the van's location.

That one's easy. Just keep driving up and down the Porter Tunnel. Although the other day for some reason, all of a sudden a tank spawned near the Chinatown subway entrance when I was 15 seconds away from victory x_x ?!

syonara salvatore. it was because i had just got to stautan island, there is no "world' map, so you of course have to know where you are going in order to succeed. and i couldn't remember where the tunnel entrance to portland was. IT WAS SO INFURIATING. and then, i finnally found it, and the triads AND sal's men took med out about 4 times! of course now, i know my way around and that mission would be a piece of cake. but at the time...

Most missions are pretty straightforward after practice, apart from S.A.M & Espresso 2 Go angry.gif

I am current replaying GTA3 and had completely forgotten what a bitch S.A.M was. Of my many attempts, I have only shot the plane down once. Then of course I thought i'd be smart and steal a cartel car. After the relief of blowing the plane up I forgot the car I was in was heavily damaged and the columbians blew me up. angry.gif

The only other mission I had a good few attempts at was Sayonara Salvatore. I tried sniping him before he got into his car, waiting at his mansion amounst many others. Of course I didnt realise if you chase him he ends up driving off a cliff and basically kills himself for you.

I belive S.A.M. is made easier by shooting the plane down from the actual runway and not the boat dock area.

Yeah that's true. I shot the plane down from the bit below the runway and easily finished the mission from there.

I saved the game straight away and the game frigging froze on me!! devil.gif

Espresso-2-Go, damn that was annoying. I forget how I finally managed to beat it.

Grand Theft Auto, well, for some reason I didn't have to do that mission. I remember trying it several times, before giving up. Then I just kept avoiding it and avoiding it and it eventually disappeared.

I hated Payday for Ray, and I still hate it. Imo it's absolutely pointless, I have to drive fast and answer some phones...Why?? They couldn't think of something better lol??

That mission was incredibly annoying for me the first time I played through the game. It seemed just impossible; I didn't know where anything was, so I was just using the blips on the GPS and hoped they appeared soon. Though with any mission in the game, it's all about practice. I've done that mission quite a few times since, and getting from one payphone to the other is a piece of cake. wink.gif

Still, if I had to choose a mission I never look forward to doing, it'd be "Shima". Just a lot of unnecessary driving, and a very slow pace to it.

I can honestly say I have fun with every mission in this game. Two Face Tanner is pretty annoying though.

Kingdom Come was a f*cking pain in the ass for me. Those schizo suicidal bombers made me freak out every time I did it.

"Hahahha Special Delivery! Come to daddy! I got a present for you!"

My first time playing that mission I had nightmares about those freakin madmen. They had me paranoid too.

Probably Kingdom Come or Bomb Da Base. BDB was annoying because 8 Ball would constantly try to jump into the Cartel gangs line of fire. It made me fail so many times that I just put a blockade to the entrance of the ship so he couldn't get in. angry.gif
