manofpeace
Today, I got back from being at Six Flags Over Texas for over nine hours at about 7:30, and I've still got that feeling of falling from Shockwave. Went on Flashback, Texas Giant, Batman, and Mr. Freeze, with a few hours worth of walking/waiting between them. I must say, a wooden roller coaster is pretty hard on your balls. Despite all... discomforts, I had a blast and it was a great day to not have to do anything. So far, I enjoyed this better than any other theme park I've been to, and hope to go back next year. Tell us your stories about your favorite theme park that you've been to, as I'm still riding off the hype from the day.
mr_bungle
I've never really been to a theme park before. We only have like one in New Zealand, and I've never really traveled up North to it. One day hopefully. I've been to Splash Planet, which is like a large water park/swimming pool.
Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
The last place I went was Dorney Park. I dominated all the rides, great fun. Coasters are always scary at first, but you once you pop the cherry, at least for me, you wanna ride 'em again and again. The last roller coaster I went on that day had seats with no belts, just that crappy little bar. So you had to hold on to the front of the car for dear life and just yell curse words into the night sky. I said f*ck like 20 times. Probably 100+ times that day. *MURDOC*
I'm going to Six Flags great adventure soon, I go regularly, it's a fun park and has one of if not the (still?) tallest, fastest rollercoaster in the world Kingda Ka. Last time I went it was dead and I rode that bitch like, 10 times in a row with no waiting.
asimov
My aunty works for Dreamworld, so when I went to the Goldcoast I got free tickets into Dreamworld, Wet n' Wild and Movie World, it was awesome. Dreamworld is by far the best park in Australia. My least favourite park would be wonderland in Canberra, it's now closed. I hate it because I was stuck upside down on a loop de loop rollercoaster for half an hour when it broke down. Half a f*cking hour upside down strapped in tight. After it was all over they only gave us free lunch.

Aussiebushmatt
Around here, there's only like two; Chessington's and Thorpe Park. Narrowing it down, I'd have to go with Thorpe Park, although there was this interesting theme park up in Cleethorpes called Pleasure Island where practically every ride has some spinning involved xD

*MURDOC*
Kingda Ka Once the train is in position, the hydraulic launch mechanism accelerates the train from 0 to 128 miles per hour (0 to 206 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, pulling about 1.67 g. At the end of the launch track, the train climbs the main tower, or top hat, twisting 90 degrees to the left before reaching a height of 456 feet (139 m).The train then descends 418 feet (127 m) straight down through a 270-degree spiral. Finally, the train climbs the second hill of 128 feet (39 m), producing a moment of weightlessness before being smoothly brought to a stop by the magnetic brakes. The train then makes a U-turn and enters the station. The ride lasts 28 seconds from the start of the launch to the end of the brake run, but has an "official" ride time of 50.6 seconds. The hydraulic launch motor is capable of producing 20,800 horsepower (15.5 MW) peak. Due to the high speed and open nature of the trains, this ride will not operate in light rain, as rider contact with rain drops can cause discomfort. What a beast, I'm going on it again soon, maybe I'll take a video. Edited May 23, 2009 by *MURDOC*

One day hopefully. Haha, yeah. Pathetic ol' Rainbows End. Only got 2 or 3 good rides in the whole park. But they dont get boring if you ride them for 6 continuous hours My favourite water park is Wet'n'Wild in Aussie, but i hear there is a new one over there that i should check out at the end of this year. My favourite Theme park overall is probably Dreamworld. Pure and simple because of the Cyclone. My single most favourite ride ever.

Yeah it Sydney, I was there in 1997 and barely remember it, aside from the rollercoaster of course.

I got to go on it the next time I went, though.
Illousion
I've been to the following in Sweden: Gröna Lund Liseberg None of 'em are anything spectacular. I'd like to visit Six Flags sometime. DemonKing
I've been to a fair few. The UK one's: Chessington, Alton Towers and Thorpe Park. Asterix Land in France. And the US one's: Universal Studios, Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure, Disney Land or World? (The one in Orlando). Hard to pick a favourite one, maybe Islands of Adventure. FullMetal
I'd like to go to the universal studios themepark... why? Because of the Jurassic Park part/rides. I've seen and read alot about it on the internet and it looks to be one of the most epic things in a Theme Park. Anyone can confirm this? This is something I really want to do sometime... problem is I'm on the other side of the big puddle.
Superb
Alton Towers since it's the only one I've been to. Nemesis is the best ride! Oblivion is scary, I went on it for the first time and sat right at the front, only lasts about ten seconds though.

Lt. Dan
Cedar Point has been the top theme park for years. I've been there many times and I never get tired of it. The Top Thrill Dragster, Maverick, and Millennium Force are the best coasters.

Did you ride the Titan? It's probably the best coaster there. At one point all the blood rushes to my head and everything goes black. Oh, the Runnaway Mountain is also fun. The whole coaster is inside a large building so it's very dark. Which ride is the one where you shoot out, go through the course, and then go through again backwards? I think it's either the Shockwave or the Flashback. When I went last year, I was in line and saw a large woman crying as her car returned to the loading dock. Having never ridden it before, that made me nervous.

This is something I really want to do sometime... problem is I'm on the other side of the big puddle. I don't know about the Orlando park, but in Hollywood, it's definitely the best ride at the park. But my favorite thing to do there is the Studio tour. It's really cool to ride down some of the sets that you might have seen in countless movies. It's a damn shame a big chunk of it burnt down, including most of "courthouse square", where half of Back to the Future was filmed. Anyway. My favorite theme park is, Disneyland. It doesn't have many super fast rides, but there is something about that park that makes me both happy and sad. Happy that it's a good look at what Disney used to be about, which is bringing fantasy to reality. And sad that Disney now only cares about making money and trying to convince the world that their talent/actors are actually talented. If we are talking pure rollercoaster fun, I'm going with Knott's Berry Farm. There are some insanely fun rides there. And it's the first REAL theme park in America. Plus it has the ride with the best name ever. Montezooma's Revenge. Edited May 24, 2009 by darthYENIK
Pat
Went to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio once. Surprisingly enough, my mother's cousin lives two blocks away from it, on the coast of Lake Eerie. Couldn't afford a room at the amusement park, but I did visit a few family members who could, and their room was kick ass. The rides were awesome as well.
