Slamman
I've been playing GTA3 on my PS3 over a week now, for one thing, it works whereas GTA4 only freezes up, but it is also because my PS2s are long gone. The thing I find annoying still is how to shake cops and gangs off your car doors, where they can pull you out for arrest or assault. That racing and chasing produces slippery effect on any dry surface, rain or shine, the handling is less then ideal and the speeds hectic. What most bothers you revisting GTA3? Same as me? Bullet_Chris
I cant say it bothers me visiting it because GTA 3 is still my fave.
General Goose
The shaking police off and the RELATIVE lack of things to do (only compared to other GTAs) bother me somewhat. Still awesome. Love Chatterbox.
Vercetti27
after the newer games III is really tricky in many ways

Bullet_Chris
I know. but the 'I like this website. IS THAT SO WRONG?' sounded like you'd expect a mod to warn you or something.I just told you that that is ok.

Superb
The gangs which always shoot you is very annoying, especially when collecting packages and doing rampages.
unopescio
Sooooo much more stuff in IV pisses me off than in III. The gameplay in III is infinitely easier, and faster paced compared to IV.
rebel_36
yup same, also you say gta3 has slippery handling? good thing you dont play gta4 then i think no gang in gta4 ever attacks you unless you start the fight. i also prefer gta3's handling over any other gta, its fast, arcade'ish and not over the top like vc or gta4

lloydo
Its simplicity keeps me entertained, where IV is complex in its detail III is easily playable after all these years. I guess the only problem would be the fighting, Claude gets out numbered very often for me.
Heihachi_73
It's all but too easy to shake the cops from ripping you out of your vehicle, just make sure you don't steal a Perennial and you won't get busted! Steal a Taxi from in front of a cop, floor it, and he will get dragged with the car and fall off. Do the same with a POS like a Manana or a truck and you'll get busted for sure. However, you can strangely get away in a Linerunner.
Slamman
With my PS2 version, at any rate, I get busted if they cling too long to the doors, if you exit and try to fight, they can INSTANTLY bust you. What I'm thinking is take GTA2 and 3, perhaps, combine them with a new or old engine. If they re-do anything, they should put the new evolutional touches into those games. Make GTA2 in 3D of course. I hadn't thought of it before, as many suspect it to be the weakest of the GTA franchise, but I normally am not for repeating the GTA stories over and over. I still feel with a new re-visioning of the old Liberty City, it would entice many game fans back to play it again. I guess I'd like to hear opinions on that, but there's plenty of ways to take GTA3 and improve it. The speed of even PSP Stories games is too hectic. You all noted how much slower GTA4 was, but you can still enjoy speed in it. I think San An had a good balance, even before Four.

Do you mean make a next generation version of GTAIII, like the Black Mesa Mod for Half-Life 1? If it was made, though an impossibility, i would buy it straight away. Although a next gen version might ruin the original version by giving out different impressions, i think more games should be remade with better graphics and more missions etc. It would prevent alot of crap being released. Slamman
When I played GTA2, it didn't seem like a futuristic game, some of the cars look old.. However, they...being Rockstar North, seem to have used created groundwork to bring us the evolution of GTAs present. This has a lot to do with each console life-cycle. I read that many are still playing on the Playstation games, and obvious the PC engines aren't too tricky to adapt, it has seemed with those gen games. Out of all of them I think I prefer if RN did revise at least GTA3 and it needn't be Next Gen, using the refined SA groundwork, lay out Liberty City of old and add new tricks to it. Expand it in a way it is as impressive as San Andreas. I don't feel the slipping of the cars is very arcade like in feel. I've played plenty of arcade games for real. It's just lack of refinement over all. It was a MAJOR leap up for the crew, but they've done a lot since, all could contribute in an anniversary redesign of GTA3, let's say. I think that would be nice.
