.NET Framework 1.1 Disabled my Xbox360 Controller.

Alright, to remove the wonderful studdering that ruins my gaming experience, I followed the FAQ on THIS forum and installed the 3 .NET Framework updates said in that thread. Doing this, my Xbox360 Gaming Receiver/Controller no longer works.

 

Any ideas how to fix this? I've got XP 32bit SP3 if that helps.

 

I even called Microsoft, had to deal with their horrible "voice command system" that didn't have a single option for PCs and controllers but only for consoles and console accessories, and got hung up on 3 times while being transferred to the right department to talk to a hardware rep. Then ended up talking to some goddamned Indian chick who I hardly could understand... Only for her to say that she couldn't help me, and that I would have to contact another Microsoft department - which she had no contact information for, and only referred me to "microsoft.com". So WooHOO!!!

Try reinstalling the gamepad, if there is any software available for it.

 

Have you installed all the .net updates/versions as mentioned in the FAQ?

I've uninstalled it, reinstalled the drivers given to me when I got the 360 controller. I also tried it again by uninstalling those drivers (after THOSE didn't work) with the updated ones on their website, and those didn't work ether.

 

Also, the 3 .NET updates on the FAQ were updated yet.

 

I just said screw it, its not worth the annoyance. I formatted my entire PC for a gamepad.
