Random Character Help

Hello everyone

 

I was wondering if anybody could help me with one of the Random Character Missions.

I found Jeff and have done his first mission but I need to wait for his phone call to do the next bit of his story, but the problem is that I can't get the phone call.

 

I've finished the main story, killed all the hidden pigeons, done all the exotic exports, delivered all cars, completed all the drug courier mission, became best friends with everybody, killed all my targets, met all random characters and done all the unique stunt jumps.

 

Your help will be greatly welcomed as I am trying to get 100% completion but this mission is stopping me from doing it.

The second encounter with Jeff begins at an underground parking garage off Silicon Street. He calls soon after the first encounter and tells you to go there.

 

 

He calls soon after the first encounter I guess you should try to go to the garage?

 

But you're in luck, Jeff's encounter does not count to your 100% game completion!!!!!!!!!!!!

But in my game statistics it says 95% completion, so I guess I should beat the computer or friends at all the activities once, problem is I dunno which one I need to beat them on or maybe I must have missed another Random Character.

 

I tried to go to the garage but I still didn't get the call.

 

In my GTA IV guide it says that for 100% completion you need to have done:

Complete all main story missions and procedural missions -------------------------------------------->68%

Deliver all 30 vehicles to the garage --------------------------------------------------------------------->2%

Open all unique abilities and complete all activities----------------------------------------------------->10%

Beat computer or friends at all activities once----------------------------------------------------------->5%

Find all Random characters(except Jeff,Cherise, Clarence & Ivan) and complete their missions -->5%

Kill all most wanted criminal on the list ------------------------------------------------------------------>2.5%

Complete 20 crimes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->2.5%

Kill all 200 pigeons ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->2.5%

Complete all 50 stunt jumps ------------------------------------------------------------------------------>2.5%

The activies with the friends are probably the problem. You must take Brucie, Jacob and Packie to each activity available on the phone list. You can do 3 or even 4 different activities each time you got out with a friend (I only discovered this on my third attempt, after beating the game twice LOL ).

 

As for the minigames, darts and pool are quite straight forward, the only problem you can have is on the bowling minigame. Why? Well, some guides don't refer it, but you must win a FULL game, not a half-game. I usually go for the half-game option, to take less time, but to achieve 100% you must win a full game.

 

If you think you missed a random character, just check all their locations again one or two times at different hours of the day/night.

 

PS: Is that the full list of the guide you've been using? It's pretty incomplete... there is stuff missing there, like the QUB3D, Brucie's exports and races, Jacob's drug deliveries, etc...

Yea I guess I missed that stuff out I read from somewhere that you also have to get every girlfriend in the game, is that true?

No, that is not true, they are totally optional as far as 100% completion goes.

(Apart for the one you get through story mission, naturally. Even then, the likeness procentage has nothing to do with 100%.)

I finally got 100% in GTA IV, what a relief. But this post ain't about me, it's about all you kind people who helped me achieve this great feat. Thank you and I hope I will one be able to return the favour to you.
