Cursed
Depends on your computer specs. Press Start > Run and type in dxdiag. Then take a screenshot of that page and post it up here.
cold fusion 33
You can use both of them on the same computer you know . Type in "Dual Booting Windows 7 and XP" in Google and it should tell you how it works .

Scorpus
Your computer will be fine to run Windows 7. Go ahead and download the beta and give it a go

Superb
There is nothing wrong with Vista, it is better than XP in many ways, and if your PC is half-decent, it will run fine. Windows 7 is similar to Vista but quicker.
micheal687
No, i meant the rtm or retail pack
SyphonPayne
The only answer to this is make up your mind for yourself. I've been using the Windows 7 beta since it came out. Feels like an RTM. Then again I like vista too which apparently to you is a "false" OS so my opinion may not count. I have the RC1 and will install it like the day before July 1st, as that is when the beta will have bi-hourly shutdowns. You could always try the RC1 and see for yourself if you want to buy 7. Slamman
Depends on your computer specs. Press Start > Run and type in dxdiag. Then take a screenshot of that page and post it up here. DirectX's Diagnostics you can link a shortcut from the Windows' System Folder. I typically go that route. It's a fantastic tool, whereas I was using third parties like SIV and PC Wizard, Everest. They will give you the key video and mobo specs as well as others. CPU-Z and GPU-Z are real small utilities that can get to the heart of that info as well. Some XP systems are better left running XP, you can get a replacement disc via a number of methods, but direct from MS, it HAS to be non-OEM, otherwise, the OEM seller has to give you replacement, sadly, mine is second hand, and I can't get a new disc from MS.
