ABOUT

There is a soldier who seems to feel as if his homeland betrayed him. With only four Canadian men whose objective is to arrive to a war-torn country, Iraq, they start to feel as if they won’t make it out alive. However, with the 10,000 soldiers that are supposed to arrive with these four men seems likely, the men start to wonder if there ever was reinforcements coming. With only five hours before they head to the country, they need to call in for backup before something terrible goes wrong. Will they get their reinforcements? Will they survive?

CHARACTERS

Wolverine (Logan): Has been abused by his step-father when growing up. He fled his home when he was 13 to escape the abuse. From there he lived with his uncle, who he looked up to for over 15 years. His uncle has passed away, and now he currently serves Canada to help protect his people.

Coyote (Scott): Arrogant, cocky, and a very cruel thinker. He kills for fun and doesn't care what people think. Apparently, he and Logan have a lot of tension, but tends to speak to him sarcastically and pushes him around.

Samuel: Logan's closest friend and fellow soldier. He is fighting alongside with Logan due to the Iraqi’s who had kidnapped his wife and his 8-year-old son just before he was went to fight in the war. He is now hoping he can find and save them before it's too late.

Carbon (Trey): Trey is an African American soldier serving Canada. He is the strongest out of the three and has been shot 33 times in his lifetime. He is nearly impossible to kill and drinks way too much. However, it hasn't been a problem for him at all. He believes that he is close with Coyote, but Coyote doesn't care what he thinks.

Chapter 4: The Boy Who Cried Wolf (coming soon)

Chapter 1: Take your helmet, soldier!

As night begins to fall, Sgt. Massimo ordered six men including me to rush into the terrains of Iraq before daylight. We were at the North American region at the time, and we all were extremely exhausted from last night’s warfare going on in Rainbow Lake, Alberta Canada. Our objective there was useless, as the terrorists fled and caused havoc throughout the city. Hundreds were injured, thousands were killed. We had a small army of about 250 soldiers to be exact, but they were all caught off guard and we’re blown to pieces caused by three suicide bombers. Luckily, I survived along with the remaining five of our so called “army”.

Anyway, the remaining of us were pretty close on killing the head leader of the Iraqi pact; we had took the Anza rocket launcher that was equipped on a man’s lifeless body nearby the destruction and were ready to blow hell out of the oncoming attacks above us. However, the damn bastard escaped with a pretty nice V-22 Osprey I must say. But that didn’t matter to us anymore. We all knew part two was a comin’. Question is, are we prepared? I don’t care. Hell, none of us did. We all knew what we had to do. Our friends had been killed in the bloody massacre in less than 24 hours and we all have to take part in this battle in order to take revenge and to save our country that was now in ruins.

Sgt. Massimo: Soldier, prepared or not, we must move forward!

Soldier 1: But Sgt., it’ll take us about 9 hours to arrive there. Don’t you think there will be a surprise waiting for us by then?!

Sgt. Massimo: 9 hours? Last time I checked we were going on a jet plane, not a commercial airline. Now, Samuel, if I were you, I’d shut up, and hop on the jet, understand?

Samuel: Yes sir!

Sgt. Massimo: Here, take your helmet, soldier!

Samuel, was one of my closest friends out of the bunch. He was concerned just about anything, no matter what situation he was put in, but he’s able to take the situation and turn it into a good cause. This time around, he was not concerned. He was afraid. Reason? The Iraqi’s had kidnapped his wife and his 8-year-old son just before he was went to war. That was two years ago. And now, he was afraid he would find his wife and son brutally beaten, raped or even worse…Dead. Even though it would be impossible to seem them ever again, life always throws a rock at you, waiting for you to stumble and eventually fall. Samuel was already on his last legs.

As the six of us headed inside the filthy jet plane, Carbon, the toughest of the group -- who apparently had been shot over 33 times in his lifetime, cracked open what was a bottle of vodka and drank one third of it and passed it to my enemy, my soldier, my competition, Coyote. Coyote was a son of a bitch. A good one at that. He was arrogant, cocky, and I honestly believe he didn’t care about anyone or anything. His reason on fighting the war on terror is unknown, but Sam told me that he shoots for fun. Some kind of a hobby -- the bastard. Killing hundreds of people, for fun. I mean, sure killing terrorists and “bad” people is a good reason to kill, but it’s never fun to see someone getting killed, especially if done by yourself.

Coyote: This vodka from Stalingrad isn’t what it used to be 10 years ago.

Carbon: Now why is that? It’s the same o’l sh*t I’ve been drinking. Tastes the same.

Coyote: Hm, I don’t know. There’s something about it that really sucks…Hey Wolverine, come over here and try this out…

So they call me Wolverine. They call me this animal because I only kill if there is actually a point in doing so. In this case there was. My friends, dead in less than a day. That is my reason. And when I do kill, I kill silently, like a wolf stalking it’s prey. Sudden movement, and it’s over for the opponent and even sometimes, myself. Now, I’ve been shot more than once when getting caught. But that doesn’t stop me from continuing. You see, my life has always been rough. I’ve been abused by my step-father mentally and physically. My mother never believed any of it, and I hated her for not caring about me. I eventually fled my home when I was 13, and decided to live with my uncle who had been a war veteran back in World War II. My uncle was my role model. I looked up to him dearly and always wanted to be just like him. Fearless and tough. However, he recently passed away and now I feel lost. I only have Sam and the rest of these men who supposedly support me…

Wolverine: You know Coyote, you should really stop drinking.

Coyote: Yeah?

Wolverine: You’re getting really worse than before. I don’t like it.

Coyote gets up from the bucket he was sitting on and approaches me.

Coyote: …I’m fine. You see, I’ve been kicking these terrorists since my balls dropped and I haven’t been stopping since. I can drink whenever I feel like it and there’s not a damn thing you or these men can do about it. Now, this so called mission that we’re ordered to do by that classless sergeant of ours is doing everything all wrong. Going by jet is just as worse by going on a damn ship. The Iraqi soldiers do know that we’re about to tear that place apart, so that’s why they probably have their own line of defense waiting for us as soon as we land. That’s if…we do land.

Samuel: Now hold up. Sgt. Massimo has been doing this for over 20 years. What makes you think he’ll be wrong this time around?

Coyote: You ask stupid questions Sammy boy. Why should we come to them, when they can come to us once more? I mean look at what we got right now. There’s only six of us, and two of them are already this close on dying. Not only that, but we’re low on morale, and we only have a good damn Anza and three M4’s in which aren’t fully loaded. Do you seriously think we can overcome 2000+ soldiers in the Middle East with our little toys?

Wolverine: We have about 10,000 soldiers arriving around noon of tomorrow, we should be good by then.

Coyote: Do you know what’s today, “comrade”?

Wolverine: It’s 22nd of April, Tuesday, 21:00.

Coyote: We arrive in five hours which will be at 2:00. Our “reinforcements” arrive at 12:00, April 23rd. Go figure.

Carbon: We can lay low, they won’t know thing. Now have a drink.

Coyote: Hah! Do you think this is a game? They know we’re headed to them. We’re f*cked. And our “sergeant” knows it. That’s why he’s not with us along with the rest of our damn soldiers. Now gentlemen, do you know where this is heading?

Samuel: Where, Coyote…

Coyote: It’s heading to what’s known as a god damn setup by our so called Canadian troops. They either backed away from this operation for a good reason or they decided to really get us good this time. But who do you believe anyway? At this point, opinions don’t matter.

He was right. For the first time, he was right and made actual sense. This was all a setup for unknown reasons as of now, but I knew what I had to do. I just didn’t know whether or not to believe what he was saying. After all, the guy was drunk.

I really liked this.

I liked how you combined script and narrative, good job with that. I don't know why no one has done a Wolverine or any other superhero/villian fan fic before because this could turn out to be very enjoyable. Good job so far, I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Lethal Nizzle

Interesting concept man, an alternate universe fan-fic, am I right? As Matty said you blended script and narrative together well.

I'll be following. smile.gif

Wolverine.

Thanks guys! New chapter has been released below. More to come.

Chapter 2: Heading in the Wrong Direction

As five hours went by, I began to consider what the man was saying, however, I decided not to. For one, he was drunk, and two, I just didn’t like what he had to say. But then again, I never liked what he had to say, and I don‘t think I ever will. I got up from my seat and approached the pilot.

Wolverine: So... What do you have to say about this theory of Coyote‘s?

The pilot kept his focus on flying the plane and just shrugged and mumbled a few words that I couldn‘t make up. I didn’t understand, so I repeated my question -- this time, a little more aggressively.

Pilot: …Heh.

Wolverine: What’s so funny?

Pilot: Haha.

Wolverine: Let me ask you one more time…What is so god damn funny…?

The pilot either began to mumble a few words or spoke another language. I decided to call out Sam to have a look at this fool.

Wolverine: Hey Sam, come over here.

Samuel: Yeah Logan?

Wolverine: Apparently this pilot seems to be either hiding something from us, or he is really pulling some kind of a joke here.

Samuel: Sir, do you know this is really not some game where you can fool around? We’re arriving there in a few more minutes -- hell, I think we’re above Iraqi land at this point. Why don’t you just listen to us, and everything will be alright. Understand? Comprende?

The pilot finally stops his focus on flying the plane and glares directly at both me and Sam for a few seconds. He says something clearly, and right off the bat I knew who he was and what this was all about.

Pilot: …bumb…

Samuel: Excuse me?

Pilot: Hahaha…Bumb!…Bumb!…Bumb!

Wolverine: He’s saying bomb! Everyone get off the plane!

I quickly knocked out the pilot with my fist, and the pilot’s unconscious body laid right on the controls of the plane. We were going down. Samuel began to call on Coyote and Carbon to jump off the plane and carry the remaining two soldiers who were injured.

Coyote: Carbon, I need you to take hold of Lucas! I’ll get Shaun! Wolfy boy, if we don’t make it out alive, I just want you to know that I always hated you and that tool right behind ya! See you below!

Coyote takes Shaun, one of our injured soldiers from the Alberta Massacre and jumps off first. Carbon follows and takes Lucas with him -- another wounded soldier. Samuel and I begin to equip our parachutes and we finally jump. The plane crashes right before we landed and caused a huge stir during our “arrival”. When we finally landed, dozens of people began screaming while some just stared at us. We slowly picked ourselves up, and we looked around.

Carbon: Lucas, wake up man! C’mon, wake up! f*ck!

Coyote: What’s wrong now…

Carbon: It’s Lucas man…He’s dead.

Coyote: And we’re alive. There’s the difference. Now, there’s a bunch of terrorists looking right at us. There’s also a god damn burning jet plane in the distance, and they’re all thinking we ambushed them -- which is good. But just in case, I say we sacrifice Shaun and we take Lucas’ body and we use it as armor, to protect two of us, while Wolverine and Sam can figure something’ out.

Wolverine: Go to hell…

Coyote: We’re already in it…

He begins to smirk. But right behind him, I see what seems to be a full army of soldiers aiming right at us. I could’ve let him die, but my gut instincts told me not let him die. At least not now.

Wolverine: Look out!

I quickly grabbed Lucas’ lifeless body and protected Coyote. Carbon takes Shaun and copies my instinct. Samuel starts to fire at the army with the M4 as we begin to move forward. The environment was so bare that we had no other defense. That’s another reason why I do things the way I do em’. As the army continued firing, we ran to a dead end. A cliff.

Samuel: What now!?!

Carbon: We jump!!

Coyote: We’ll have to use Lucas’ and Shaun’s body as a cushion just before we fall! I’ll get Shaun!

Just before we jumped, a helicopter rose above the cliff. It was our men…

Chapter 3: Kidnapped

Soldier: Quick, jump!

As I was about to jump to the ledge of the helicopter, I felt a throbbing pain in my lower thigh. Before I knew it, I've been shot two times on the same thigh. I look up and I see Coyote and Carbon dive to the helicopter just a few feet away. I see Sam lying on the floor right next to me. He was still moving, but he looked really hurt. Turns out, he was shot in the stomach and was internally bleeding. Not knowing what to do, I stood right up and charged the army. It was a stupid move. They began to fire and they shot me numerous times. After a few rounds and only a few feet of movement, I began to collapse -- I felt dizzy, hurt, unconscious...

I wake up, and I find myself in a dark bare basement. I can hear some Arabic prayers from outside. As I try to get myself together, I realize my neck has a rope right around it. I look below and I see a platform and a lever about 20 feet away. I didn't notice at first, but I saw what seemed to be a terrorist right next to it. I was still dazed from last time, and I couldn't think straight. My thoughts were racing as I didn't know what situation I was now in.

Wolverine: Sam! Is that you?

I see a dark shadow move towards me. I can see the smirk on his face as he begins to speak in Arabic.

Wolverine: Where am I?

Terrorist: Welcome to Iraq.

Wolverine: I meant...Where exactly am I...

Terrorist: Annah. Here, take a look at this map.

Wolverine: Where is Sam? the Canadian troops?

Terrorist: Don't worry.

Wolverine: Listen you son-of-a-bitch as soon as I -

Terrorist: Shuddup! I can kill you right now if I want to!

Wolverine: Do it!

Terrorist: No!

Wolverine: I said do it, I got nothing else left!

Terrorist: You... kind of have Sam...

Wolverine: Where is he!

Terrorist: Do you like to play games...

Wolverine: What are you trying to say.

Terrorist: I'm not an Iraqi soldier. Open your eyes Wolfy boy...

I remember that voice...

Wolverine: ...Coyote?

Coyote: DING-DING-DING! Correct!

Wolverine: I thought you left with the troops... and where's Sam?!

Coyote: Sam was killed by our army. Remember what I said during the flight over here? Well...I was the setup. Sgt. Massimo did a good job actually letting me run this plan ya know. Carbon and I are doing wonderful now that we have you were we want you.

Wolverine: Why would you do this? What about the men who died back in Alberta?

Coyote: All for the fun. Isn't that what Sammy boy told you...Ha-ha-ha.

I was so full of rage, I spit in his face. I didn't regret it one bit. He then slowly backed away and went to the lever.

Coyote: I wish you hadn't done that wolfy... But then again...You and Sammy boy can reunite once more. Have a fun trip.

He pulled the lever and walked away. Next thing I knew, the platform dropped and I began to suffocate within seconds. My life started to flash real quick -- back when I was little kid where my brother and I escaped from my parents house. I remember my brother telling me that we should always stick together. I made the mistake on leaving him. Look where I'm at now. A soldier lost in the middle of nowhere. Coyote was no soldier. He was a bastard. My country betrayed me for unknown reasons, but it didn't matter to me at this point. I get another flashback... I remember I had something special within me. Something that I hadn't used since I was last seen in my parents house. I had claws hidden under my hands. They came out and I cut the rope loose. I was free with only seconds to spare before I passed out and died. This was another reason why they called me...The Wolverine...
