Street Fighter IV is a 2008 fighting game produced by Capcom. It is the first numbered Street Fighter game released by Capcom for the arcades since 1999. The coin-operated arcade game was released in Japan on July 18, 2008 with North American arcades importing the machines by August. The console versions for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 were released on February 12, 2009 in Japan, and were sold in North American stores as early as February 16, with a February 18 intended release date. The official European release was on February 20. A Windows version will follow on July 2, 2009 in Japan, July 3, 2009 in Europe and July 7, 2009 on the US. As of March 31, 2009, Street Fighter IV had sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide.I bought this game today for the Playstation 3. I played it the other day at a friends house and had no problem with it; but now that I'm on my own console I just can't seem to get the hang of the game! I must admit, I'm use to Tekken (having grown up on the series) but decided to buy SFIV because I was lacking a current gen fighting game. What am I doing wrong? I got the hang of him pretty quickly. Though I completed Arcade Mode with Vega though it didn't unlock Rose. It says I have to complete it with Vega (Dictator) whatever that means. I beat the game on hardest but goddamn, it took so many tries to beat Seth. Made me throw my 360 headset at the wall and break it. Akuma ftw though, I used him most of the time. Vega (Dictator) is M.Bison he's called Vega in Japon, Balrog is M.Bison and Vega is Balrog a bit confusing. @Funky: Yeah a lot of people are still playing as Ken. I'm so use to Tekken controls it's quite hard. If you go into challenge mode and do a normal trial you can lear a few combo's press select and it will show how to do the moves. Who do you play with most of the time? I mostlly play with Bison when playing championship and ranked other characters i use would be Akuma, Ryu, Cammy, Vega and Sagat. If your playing online i'd recommend picking one character and sticking with them for a while. I wouldnt recommend gen as he's got two stances and it gets a bit confusing trying to remember what moves go with which stance well for me anyway lol I normally borrow the game from work for trophies so i'll add you if your down for a few matches? I have just spent the last hour trying to defeat him - on EASIEST - and he keeps defeating me. I've tried blocking. I've tried combos. I've tried everything. The matchmaking isn't amazing. The story/arcade is what you'd expect, you get like 8 fights with the character you chose and it has cutscenes at the beginning and end. It only takes about 10minutes to do one, but you can do it with every character. Plus you have all the training and challenges. Don't even bother with the DPAD on the 360, it's practically useless. Capcom originally made Balrog as a dead ringer for Mike Tyson. Although in the original Street Fighter arcade game, there was a Tyson/Balrog-like boxer simply named Mike. This was all before Tyson was getting facial tattoos, biting ears and raping women and he was the baddest motherf*cker on the planet. I'd like to try this new SF game - used to throw lots of quarters into SFII and its variants and then maybe seven years later they finally came out with a SFIII.
