Hydro_PT
Are you nuts? What a stupid thread... lol And no matter how good a player is, with the size of Liberty City it's practically impossible to chase and find another player without having blips on. It's a waste of time. Edited May 20, 2009 by Hydro_PT
TGMOS
It's not stupid at all. It's realistic. People in real life don't have a colored dot above their head in which everyone can track them. Plus, you won't get constantly stalked by people who are trying to kill you. And, it allows for the truly perfect sniping experience. Sniping is only 100% effective if the target canot tell where the sniper is. I envy the Ps3 in the fact that R* didn't screw up the multiplayer system by removing the blips off option. On the Xbox they removed it when TLAD was released, sadly. Before TLAD all my freemodes were blips off, no auto-aim, and a 30 second respawn. Good times.... I'm not saying that playing without blips is stupid, I'm saying that this thread is stupid, because it's a perfect waste of time trying to chase someone through Liberty City. I don't know if you're realizing how boring it is... I've tried that on a server with 20 players, and after half an hour I quited. No one was finding the other person, so we were just there walking randomly on an empty city (cars and peds were off). I believe that there is someone who might enjoy this. But this user just creates stupid threads asking for silly stuff. This should be locked. Oh and don't go into the "realistic" field of GTA IV. The game is meant to be fun, not realistic. In real life people also don't respawn when they die, and you won't escape the cops after killing tons of them. And a lot more things...

AceMustDie
That sounds fun but it would be better if you cut it down to one island. It would be awesome to be the trackers and find the people without them knowing. Then set up a crew of people around the exits and snipers on roofs. Flush em out and dead! AceMustDie
I was playing a blips off FM a few weeks ago and out of no where this person runs me down and that was all i saw of anyone for the entire half hour. But someitmes when you respawn you pop up next to people. SO randomly killing yourself works!
MrJohn666
Jesus Crisps where do I start here? 1. This thread was created by a Kylie Minogue lyric. Frightening. 2. "Don't be scared" How about "Don't be scared of being bored sh*tless, wandering around liberty city, dying in reality, one second at a time, when it's a sunny day outside". 3. TGMOS - "It's not stupid at all. It's realistic. People in real life don't have a colored dot above their head in which everyone can track them." are you a f*cking serial killer? My idea of "realistic" is this - get up, feed cats, have breakfast, go to work, work, log on here and laugh at morons during my coffee break, work some more, f*ck off home, play a video game to relax. No one got shot! 4. Hydro_PT and Ace - concur. Keep up the good work. My work is done here. *flies off* *hits ceiling*
SuperJude™
This would work better as an hour long deathmatch.

ChristopherD
@OP Dont listen to the nay-sayers... With the right ppl, theis kind of match can be very fun, you just have to have a little patience. Here are two events that are based on settings similar to this: The Hunted free mode The last one is a FM where players play cops and others go in and do whatever. If a cop sees you 'Break the Law', then the chase is on!
MrJohn666
@OP don't read Chris' post, or act upon his instructions, because he clearly hears all of our voices in his head as part of some kind of Internet Schizophrenia and is a mental.
BellicEnterprises
I used to love the no blips games, the suspense was great. We used to set up a free mode with no blips and then split into teams, set a place to meet and fight, or give each other clues where the other team were, giving them time to set up an ambush, or air to air chopper warfare. Its not the kinda game i always played, but it was brilliant from time to time, and i know its not everyone's cup of tea, but now rockstar have taken that way, why? There was no need to at all, the beauty of this game is the many different directions you can take it in multiplayer, create your own games with liberty city as your canvass, and now an avenue i loved has been needlessly taken away. Please Bring it back, R*
