I know I will. 1200MS points is nothing, man. 15 bucks to me, I spend that on a large pizza for one night of dinner. A movie for two costs a good $20. A PPV film costs me about $6-7. And considering the amount of hours I get of entertainment from a map pack I see no problem paying $15. I guess I just don't understand where people come from who say it costs too much. And then they boycott saying they won't buy it, but so many other people do that it doesn't matter. I guess if you don't have a job then I'd understand not buying, but it doesn't give you the right to bitch that it's too expensive either. Also the people who've thrown down the $60 USD plus tax to buy the game and then moan about a $15 map pack and how Activision are money hungry bastards. They want cash for the franchise that they make the most money out of besides World of Warcraft, and you would too. Also, the new maps look interesting. I spent easily 20 hours playing the first strike maps, so it's worth it for me. Especially when it's $15 to see a movie at the cinemas..which can easily be watched online anyway. And for what? 2 hours of entertainment. Yes, I agree, the dlc should be free, but it isn't and that's life. I bet you continue to buying soft drinks, even though it costs roughly 12c to produce. That's a fine point but, by charging for maps on PC, it simply reaffirms that the CoD franchise has changed into a completely money-orientated cash cow from a once modder-friendly, community-based game with free maps given accordingly, as shown by CoD 1, UO, 2 and 4. That said, this scheme does seem to increase the incidence of map pack releases, CoD 4 only had one set of (albeit great) maps whereas the newer CoDs seem to have several. I actually think Ascension was the best part of the first map pack. The only other map I like out of it is Discovery. Kowloon can go to hell! I don't know if I'll get the new map packs. The only map that appealed to me in the ascension map pack was berlin wall, i would certainly never have played on kowloon and i don't really play zombies so there just wasn't any point in me buying it. Although my hours of gaming: cost ratio has gone down quite a bit on Black Ops, it is still considerably less then 1$ per hour entertainment value...which is a GREAT deal compared to bars, movies, sports events or anything else you do for entertainment...aside from free things like watching grass grow. I won't spend cash on it for PC (I simply refuse to pay 15 eurodollars for a mappack for a PC game).
