I played trough the campaign on veteran on my first try then went to multiplayer and reached level 25. Then I came back to GTA, RDR and Halo I play black ops only if my friends are playing it. I play Black Ops quite a bit, but it's just because all my friends are playing it. If they decided to go back to MW2 for a bit, I would. I kind of miss it. I need some advice with my Ghost class, I've been spending a couple of times retouching it again and again, and it's still not even close. Right now I'm using the AKS-47U with the silencer and the grip, the full-auto pistol as my secondary, frag + concussion, equipped with Motion Sensor and for perks, I'm using Ghost, Warlord and Hacker. I think my main problem is the primary weapon - I've been using all of the SMG's, balancing between supressor + grip and supressor + rapid fire, I've also tried the AUG and a couple of other Assault Rifles and I'm yet to find the right one. Famas, Commando or Galil w/Suppressor and Dual mags Strela-3 or Pistol of choice w/choice attachment tomahawk flashbang or Nova Gas Motion sensor or claymore Ghost Warlord Ninja Face paint: Jester(optional) Pro perks are obviously better! I still say MW2 was much more smooth. The graphics were, the sounds were much more awesome. The gun and grenade sounds in Black Ops sound like f*ckin' paper clips clinging and cap guns. Well maybe not that drastic but the difference is definitely there. Maybe I just notice because I play in thousand watt 5.1, I don't know. The HUD was nicer in MW2 to me, as well. Jake Posted April 4, 2011 Share Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) I only used the tomahawk in my first time around. since I prestiged the first and second time I've been using only frags. In MW2 it was only stickies and throwing knives. But in Blops I never used stickies besides once. I've got a lifetime stat of one kill with them. With frags I've gotten at least 150-200 kills or so. Pretty often I get crazy kills from trying to figure out where people run from me when they get away or try to trick and I usually blow 'em up. And I've gotten a few sick double kill killcams with them as well. I just love cooking grenades so they have no time to move anywhere. But nothing will ever be as hilarious as the satchel charges were in Big Red One. Similar to the C4 we have now but you didn't remote detonate them. And the boom was bigger. I loved carrying those around, cooking them and tossing them around corners and getting multi kills. Plus the rag doll made it even more hilarious to watch the aftermath. I was playing a few games on MP tonight and on the Array map, I love placing my claymore at the base of the stairs in the tunnel in the main building. I always get someone with that. We haven't heard anything from Treyarch about it yet, but I certainly would not be surprised. I wonder how many packs will be released for Black Ops. I'm guessing at least three. MW had one, MW2 had two, but that was IW of course. World at War had three map packs, so Treyarch may do the same thing again for Black Ops. On another note, I'd like them to expand more on the wager matches. What they have now are pretty fun to mess around on. I think they should add more though. I think an unlimited ammo RPG match should be in there, with a grenade kill putting you out of the money, and for the last minute of the round give everyone a grim reaper. A variant of one in the chamber, but just a pistols only match without the instant kill bullet and knives putting you out of the money, and change the pistol every minute of the round with variant attachments such as dual wield, full auto, acog, etc. They could do a lot of variants of this with different weapons, too. It's all for sh*ts 'n giggles anyway, so I don't know why they didn't add matches like these. And I've finally started using the Stoner in my rotation. My first run with it on TDM garnered me something around 30 kills. That thing is a beast. Also been running around with the Spas-12 with silencer and racking up ridiculous kills. I still want to know why we only have one possible attachment per shotgun though. It's pretty ridiculous to me. I mean, in MW2 when they were secondary guns and had even further range I could slap a red dot and a grip on that bitch. Now all I've got is a silencer. I can still kick ass with it, but come on man. And it's pointless to even aim down the sights with the Spas, you can't see a damn thing. Also, what perks do you guys generally use? I'm curious about other options to f*ck around with. I'm always seeming to use Ghost Pro, Sleight of Hand Pro, and Ninja Pro. It never really varies out of that yet. I've been starting to experiment a little more, but nothing seems to be better than those. Unless I swap out SoH with Steady Aim Pro, but even then I just get annoyed because it takes too long to reload, unless I'm using an AK74U which I barely use anymore. For the Spas it just takes too long to reload and I always get close enough to kill em hip firing anyway most of the time because I try to flank close range areas of the maps or get 'em from their asses. The only other ones I've used even for a minute besides those were lightweight and marathon, but with knifing being so...sh*tty, it's just not worth it to me. I've messed around with it on bots with the ballistic knife and tomahawk which is fun, but I've yet to go for it on Live. I may give it a shot just for fun. Interesting. Very interesting. Lately the Aussies have produced some interesting gaming news with the outing of a possible new Burnout game and now this... I'm hoping their better than they sound.. I've gotten some pretty nice long shots with it also. And Pro'd out Warlord in no time. I've also been using the AK47 with Ghost Pro, Warlord Pro, and Ninja Pro. Have a silencer, which I always like to use if possible, and a green dot sight. Rippin' ass with that as well. Edit: I've been incorporating Warlord Pro into other weapons as well for the dot and silencer just getting used to reloading slowly like on my Bling classes I used on MW2. In other news, I marathon ran this game literally most of the day. I had a couple hour breaks in between a couple hours of play, but still. Feel like I'll probably go a week without playing now. What's everyone's stats anyway? Right now I'm at 8,429 kills, 6,346 deaths. Ratio of 1.33. 763 assists. 547 head shots. Accuracy only 19.52% average.
