Big News! The secret password protected file has been cracked! Redsideup85 from the Unfiction forums cracked it. Also, I had no part in cracking this - all the guys at Unfictions forums and Callofdutyzombies did!

 

1. Use ROT10 in the cipher

(yyuahrnqyf hcgi vxmly navgu ulli xmixo > iiekrbxaip rmqs fhwvi xkfqe evvs hwshy)

 

2. Then use the key Freedoma to get > dragonlady nine three three zero eight

 

3. A quick google search -'dragon lady 93308' will bring up an advertisment!

4. And so on - basically they uncovered more and more pieces of the document, and the passcode for the .rar file was - dragonladyninethreethreezeroeight

I prefer World at War over Modern Warfare 2 for sure. Actually of the three most recent CoD titles World at War is the best of all three to be honest (mind you, I'm a PC gamer and PC gamers got the kings treatment compared to MW/MW2).

 

Anyways I just hope they come up with original gameplay and content and DO NOT do the exact same thing as the last three titles. I also hope the zombie mode (yes, I'm actually f*cking sure it will be in the game) has enough maps from the start. They know it's popular so they should've made a couple of more maps and some more 'rewards' to it. Maybe a seperate ranking system for zombies? Unlocking better starting equipment as you rank up. Though, you shouldn't be able to rank up fast. Only after playing X ammount of games, X ammount of zombies and such you rank up.

 

But whatever: end of next week if I'm not mistaken Gameinformer was going to have a preview of Black Ops in their newest issue. I'm curious.

 

Also: sick how all these people spend ages cracking the codes and looking up the hidden messages. Kudos to them!

Why do people get the impression that the game is set in modern times. Many websites state that it takes place in both the veitnam war(possibly flashbacks) and the early days of special forces.

Black Ops will feature 4 player co-op, and allows you to give orders to ground troops from the SR-71 aircraft (but not fly it).

Crossbow confirmed as a weapon for the campaign at least, and you can now change ammo types on the fly.

I fail to see how him holding two M1911s proves anything. He also has two AR-15 assault rifles on his back, one of them silenced. It's just game art, not a f*cking screenshot.

I'm impressed by these 'vague details'. This sounds already totally different from MW2. Though, I f*cking HATE how they CANT FIX the f*cking hand positions ('third person animations/world animations and even worlds models') from weapons and characters. Is it too much asked for a f*cking soldier to hold his weapon properly? The AUG has a vert front grip and he just blatantly ignores it.

 

Ah well, we will see. Wasn't there a preview coming this week (14th) from some Spanish magazine?

 

edit: 'WMD' set in '1968' and it features a STEYR AUG? Please god no don't mess with the f*cking weapons. I had already seen a CUBA/Vietnam like urban level in the trailer with someone holding a M4-ish (or probably meant XM-177/CAR-15) with a RAIL system and MODERN sights instead of the typical 'old school' carry handle.

 

Please, don't f*ck the weapons up for crying out loud...

I'm liking the sound of alternate types of ammo, it'll be interesting to see what types will be in, i can see Incindiary ammo being in though and i'm not too sure on them putting a Crossbow in, it seems a little out of place to me for some reason.

I was disappointed when I heard about CoD Black Ops. Mainly because it's a shame how they are milking the franchise, but mostly because I was expecting a solely Vietnam War based game. I thought that would of been a lot more interesting!

This is just a review of a demo which isn't even full. Does missions (not counting cutscenes) show years? I remember only Day -- and time. And place.

 

 

About all this stuff of GKNOVA6 - so it's discovered that someone is forced to watch transmissons. But in teaser ingame transmissions are pretty same and character is watching them - seems like brainwashing for me, like CIA did in 70's.. Character obviously knew too much. Could be connected to zombie story, not game one though.

From the early information we can gather it looks like they're doing stuff wrong. They if you read my post and the article you read they mention this mission, "WMD", SET in 1968 with soldiers carrying STEYR AUG assault rifles. They were only existant/used in from 1978 onwards.

 

And I can discuss this matter in this topic, it's about the game so please, cut me some slack.

Cold War only ended in a way when the wall came down... The Vietnam War =/= the Cold War. The Vietnam War was in a way one of the only 'big wars' where the 'Cold War' was fought out between the two 'fronts' (West versus East, Capitalism versus Communism). Vietnam war ended in 1975, not the Cold War.

I don't know why there is so much hate on Treyarch. It's because I've enjoyed their games, I don't understand the hate. I'm looking forward to this sh*t. I watched the trailer on Live with a buddy when we went on to kill some f*ckers and we immediately said "we're clearing our schedules and getting a bunch of booze. It's on mofacka."
