FullMetal
Yes that would work perfectly, like any other old school FPS with different nations (older WW2 games). Though seeing as lately the COD franchise really thinks custom classes is the biggest innovation ever though never dare to actually work it out properly... I wonder how it'll work with the weapons. I mean: they can't possibly make the Steyr AUG a weapon available during Vietnam maps and/or available to US troops and Vietcong. That would totally kill the atmosphere. It'd be even worse than Germans toting supressed Thompson SMG's, Russians toting Type 100 SMG's and whatnot. I'm curious how this will work out... now that you mentioned that. I do hope they're not going down the same path as MW2 and try something fresh for a f*cking change.

I doubt any game developer in their right mind would ever attempt such a thing. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

I had hoped for such a system (2/3 classes for each nation) which you can set up. And in between matches it NOW already is a f*cking pain in the ass to set up your classses (now I can actually talk about it seeing as PC players got a lazy Xbox matchmaking port). Or even better, they should just make a similar system to Bad Company 2. Only this time around you can only pick the weapons from your specific nation and/or era. Wouldn't that be great? Remember in CoD4 with dedis it only allotted 30 seconds between matches to change load-outs, which is probably one of the only things that actually gives IWnet a positive spin at all in my eyes. I do understand where you're coming from, though at that, balance issues would come about, which I, frankly, don't give a damn about. Though I'm sure there will be someone who'll have a problem with it and thus it becomes an issue which the developers would feel that they need to deal with. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

Though I'm sure there will be someone who'll have a problem with it and thus it becomes an issue which the developers would feel that they need to deal with. It never was an issue years ago with 'oldschool FPS' games... and now all of a sudden it's the holy grail in gaming. To be honest games lose their replay value when all weapons and all equipment is available to all nations. I mean: there is no more 'value' of a weapon. On top of that: there's no more fun in scavenging enemy weapons because you can make a loadout yourself with desired weapon (if you have a high rank). Whatever, too early to talk about that stuff I guess. Wait for the 'scans' from the game magazines that will come out this month and we'll see... Knife
The multiplayer maps will probably take place in the modern day with an assortment of weapons from the past and present /guess
dotCody
On top of that: there's no more fun in scavenging enemy weapons because you can make a loadout yourself with desired weapon (if you have a high rank). I scavenge weapons to suit the current situation (S&D on WaW, 1vs1 on Seelow - I'm picking up a bolt action rifle) or because I'm low or out of ammo. Not because it's fun. FullMetal
Apart from picking up weapons because you're low on ammunition (which is actually out of need) I do not pick up any weapons in the three last Call of Duty titles while playing online. Why? The game has been crafted this way that it's better to use the weapons you have unlocked in order to unlock more and/or there's no use picking up 'enemy weaponry' because the enemy weaponry comes from the same armory as yours. Atleast, that's how it is over here.

ModernMansHustle9
Man, from looking at that, I get a serious Nazi Zombies vibe. Anybody think they might continue the storyline from that? I mean, doctors fleeing some weird lab (Der Riese), a guy with a funny accent talking about electric torture... It's veryyyy leaning towards that. I'll be real interested to see what Treyarch gives us here.

Enjoii
Is there any new information about this game? Nothing official, no. I read an article earlier about an analyst predicting that the game will sell roughly 26% less than Modern Warfare 2, but that's hardly news and isn't official. FullMetal
What the f*ck... seriously they know how to make f*cked up (creepy) sh*t. Better link to what people have 'decoded/decyphered' from it. callofdutyzombies is a good site with some great information about these 'transmissions'. http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=260 Check here for the latest transmission and check the forums for more. Some sick discoveries and it shows that they put alot of effort into this. Let's hope they have put the same ammount of effort into the game itself (and hopefully story which might make this game have a decent story compared to MW2/BC2).
