WHEN I'VE NEVER STOLEN ANYTHING IN MY LIFE... <_<_<_<<_<_<_< not to mention the general public suck.. i was riding my board and put my tail down with my foot hanging over the edge to protect my board from scraping away... which makes a noise with my shoe on the concrete.. when some guy starts screaming at me about how he's gona kill me if i touch him..... I WAS RIDING MY SKATEBOARD AND YOU START YELLING AT ME BECAUSE OF A LOUD NOISE... HOW DOES THAT MEAN I'M GONNA TOUCH YOU?? YOU f*ckING SUCK.... I recently had a cop pull up near me and get out, walking towards me, he says "what is that?" I'm like, "its a skateboard", hes like, "no sh*t, what kind I mean", I say "its homemade", hes all like "NO WAY! Can I check it out?" I said "sure" and handed it to him. It was funny to see this 6 foot 5 cop in full uniform, with that big bulky belt cruising around this parking lot on my skateboard. If only that was more normal, I cant stand people who give you sh*t for having fun, I can understand certain circumstances, but when people get all nazi about you rolling down the street, its just retarded. But why don't you just stick to skate parks or empty areas/abandoned places ? It would make your life and others much easier Abandoned places are where the cops come because they think youre doing more than just skateboarding, unfortunately. And skateparks arent common everywhere, a lot of us have to take what we can get. Sometimes what you think of as an "empty area" others think of as "private property". And skateparks arent common everywhere, a lot of us have to take what we can get. When I used to board I used to always go down to a local abandoned factory and use that. I never had any police show up. I get pissed off though when people skate in populated areas, Its a f*cking walking path with 30 odd people. Not a skating area. Sometimes if I am in a bad mood I will stick my leg out and trip them off there board. I don't care if its not busy and there not holding anyone up but skating in the middle of a town centre at rush hour deserves a good trip up, just for being a f*cking idiot. Anyway, this cop argument pops up every two months, and I'm ashamed as always to see certain folks on my side. I really don't appreciate cops that much, they're useful and necessary but in their current application they don't seem to do a whole lot, at least not in Canada. More importantly, the kind of people who are attracted to the job are sometimes okay, but on the other hand some are retards, trust me, I know some of these people, they should not be given power. Perhaps if the requirement to be a cop was more stringent, then we ended the drug war, got rid of speed limits and even increased the pay a little, then we'd get better police. Less police, but better police. The requirements to be a police officer in Canada are tough. All the police people tend to complain about are the older cops who were hired before the testing was there to prove the competency of officer candidates. PATI - Police Analytical Thinking Inventory WCT - Written Communication Test BPAD - Behavioural Personnel Assessment Device PREP - Physical Readiness Evaluation for Police OACP - Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police Testing These are all separate tests I need to complete and pass before I can even be hired to be a police officer. The Kingston Police Department has a 3 interview hiring process, with each interview being conducted by a team of higher ranking officers and administration. Trust me, it's far from easy to become a police officer these days, not to mention you need a Police Foundations diploma from a post secondary institution before you'll even be considered. The diploma isn't required to be hired, but it certainly makes it easier to get a job. Well I stand corrected, although I suppose I can blame most of the problems with cops on the older ones. Provincial and rural cops are the worst, I remember hearing a story about some who has competitions of who could pull over more people, which doesn't surprise me because they don't have much else to do. Woah calm the f*ck down dude. I havent go a problem with skaters or skating at all. I have a problem with f*cking idiots who don't understand the phrase "time and a place". And if you come to leicester you can witness some of the said idiots who do skate at really busy times in the town centre. The most f*cking annoying thing is only about a 15 minute walk away is a decent f*cking skate park they can use. And your saying there is no where in your area that is just abandoned ? In Leicester there are loads of unused factories and sh*t. Some may be owned but there never checked on. Plus I proabaly won't trip you up because you probably have the intelligence not to skate in a crowded area. Its like me going pigeon hunting in the middle of town, yeah there are a f*ck load of pigoens there but its not safe and not the right place. And the only "abandoned" places around here are constantly being monitored by security or the police, and even though they are abandoned, you will still get arrested for trespassing. So I will never say, "I hate black people/white people/asians/cops/construction workers/people who work at McDonalds/etc. etc. etc." But I will say "I hate that asshole", if you are indeed, an asshole.
