skylarouellette
That is all i listened to back then, Its too bad that it was soo short, I wish they would have put a radio show exactly like that in IV, But "Don't change perfection"
flicko
The chat show stations were top draw. Not only was every single radio host comical in their own way, but every single chat show host and their guests were even more comical, and gave the game a different approach. I used to find completing multiple taxi fares consecutively very tedious, that was until I discovered VCPR. I completed one-hundred fares in a row whilst listening to VCPR for the first time. It had me laughing throughout, and also diminished the boredom factor that completing taxi fares initially possesses. In terms of guests on the show, Barry Stark is the character I find myself laughing at the most, especially when he gets shot and asks Maurice for some much needed medical attention! Pastor Richards & Jeremy Robard have me in stitches as well. In-fact, every single guest provides lengthy comedic value; they're all wacky and deranged! I think VCPR was so successful, and is so popular because it blended so many diverse characters and personalities down to a tee. Every person was far-fetched and unique, that when they were all placed in a room with an equally estranged Radio host, the comedic value turned into gold! Kalev4ever
Well, for me the reason, why VCPR is one of the best, is that when I just don´t want to listen to other radio stations, then there´s always room for VCPR "You´re not a big shot! You´re not even a medium shot! You´re an a*****e" - or smth like that. Was funny!

flicko
P.S. VCPR is kinda relaxing station for me, when I get bored of other station. I like it! Like that nude man. He's kinda crazy being nude. A bit gets on nerves. Just curious, but what exactly, or who exactly bugs you on the show? Ordinarily, on a station in the game I usually find myself listening to some content that ticks me off a tad, but honestly, with VCPR, I get nothing. I enjoy listening to every minute of the show, and I utterly love listening to & getting accustomed to the crazy characteristics of each guest, as well as the host and people running the place. Do certain characters get on your nerves? I can imagine people taking a distaste to somebody like Jenny Louise Crab, that's for sure.
Vercetti2008
The nude man gets on my nerves with his themes of being nude. Others are ok. I just wanted to know the phrase the woman said. What it's like to kill a dinner? What's that?
Playstation_Loyalist
I do love listening to VCPR when I'm in the car parked somewhere that cannot be reached by that nasty car stealer. Curse them... ...I even put up speakers to my PC and act like the station is a local frequency here in the country, then I'll be listening to the other stations, or maybe K-Chat. Really, the best talk station in the GTA franchise.
flicko
I just wanted to know the phrase the woman said. What it's like to kill a dinner? What's that? Are you referring to estranged guest Jan Brown? She briefly went on a rant about how nobody knows how to cook & kill dinner. You can find the entire script of VCPR here. I've located what you are referring to - Jan: No, don't interrupt me! I've got children, you know, please! This is really important. This is about the family. Look, look. Nobody knows how to cook anymore. Nobody knows how to kill anymore. Nobody knows how to kill dinner. My daddy was a very wise man, before that tractor pull accident. My daddy taught me how to slaughter a pig. That's very useful information. Oh sure, I was a little nervous at first, but he put me in a room with a fork and a fat sow and told me he'd be back in an hour for some fat back and hog jowls. As a mother, I'm proud to say I throttled the life out of that little piggie. I did it for my family, and I'll do it again as a mother. Daddy earns money and goes away with his secretary and mommy provides dinner and keeps a brave face on things, even though her heart is breaking. Where are my pills? Pr0xy_fl00d3r
John F Hickory is the best, when Maurice completely owns him with this: What? Is there a corn-on-the-cob eating contest you have to get to? You have some chitilins and grits in the oven? You got a date with your sister, eh? I bet some rednecks got a little offended over that, but its hillarious. emufan
Best...fake radio station...ever. I love it so freaking much, and it was a blast from the past to have it back in Vice City Stories.
major underscore
I used to find completing multiple taxi fares consecutively very tedious, that was until I discovered VCPR. I completed one-hundred fares in a row whilst listening to VCPR for the first time. It had me laughing throughout, and also diminished the boredom factor that completing taxi fares initially possesses. I did exactly the same thing the ast time I went through the game 100%. VCPR is my favorite talk station, slightly ahead of K-CHAT. The talk radio quality in Vice City is the best so far for any of the GTA games, including IV. The best discussion, in my opinion, is the one about perception and positive thinking.
flicko
I think the reason why VCPR pips K-chat to the post, for me, is primarily the host - Maurice Chavez. In order to have a fantastic custom-made radio station, you've got to have an equally fantastic host. Maurice Chavez is just that and more! He's witty, funny, deranged, gets very personal on the show and doesn't have an extraordinarily annoying voice. Amy Sheckenhausen is also a host I enjoy listening to, and she is a big reason why I love listening to K-Chat; as she's also witty & comical. I just feel that Chavez out-wits her, and together with his completely insane quests make VCPR my more preferred chat show station. Obviously content, diversity & other factors determine how good a station is, and VCPR has that in abundance too.
major underscore
I agree. As I see it the Maurice Chavez character has more depth than Amy Sheckenhausen. Having listened to VCPR I got an sense of who Maurice was, but I didn't get that same feeling for the Amy character. Maybe it's because Maurice has more opportunities to speak freely before each discussion topic and then share his views during the debates, whereas Amy is basically there to just interview the guests rather than be an active participant in a debate. Dispite this, I have to say that Amy's interview with Mr. Zoo is just awesome.
flicko
Most definitely. Though at times, you do get an inadvertent look into Amy's past life. I'm referring to her whiny attitude; problems for her parents during adolescence? Agreed on the Mr. Zoo part, Amy is so clueless that the things said really turn into comedy gold. I admire her for also showing interest to Jezz torrent, and also constantly moaning to his missus. I think my all-time favourite moment from K-chat involves Getsemanee Starhalk Moonmaker & a rather peculiar english-phone in guest. Brilliant stuff! phantom2510
I love VCPR. I have developed a slight dislike for the morality debate. My XBox is crap so whenever I play while listening to it, it sometimes freezes and starts over from the beginning. I must've heard the morality debate a million times by now. I now know that part of the script word for word. My favorite debate is the positive thinking debate. Jeny Crab is hilarious, especially when Jeremy Robard gets his nose broken. flicko
That scene was absolutely awesome. From the moment they clash, to when Robard start moaning about his nose & Maurice goes on a rage-induced rant; brilliant! I'm sure a lot of folk would get annoyed with the way Robard went on & on about his three-step programs, and I can fully justify why he was clattered in the nose!
