The more you get to know the trail you need to follow, the easier it will get every time. As far as gang affairs, it takes a bit of luck to avoid your car being blown up. Just try to move quickly, use the handbrake for sharp turns, and again, know where you're going. A weird thing about GTA missions, at least for me, is that once you beat the tough ones, you don't seem to ever have a problem with them again. reform Posted May 19, 2009 Share Posted May 19, 2009 Someone said (in refrence to this same mission) that if you use the ped model cheat until you're the guy in an overcoat and hat (the same peds who line up outside the porn shop at the end of the mission chain) that gangs won't attack you. I admitedly never tried this because a) I always did his missions before I was hated and b) I didn't really believe it. But maybe it's worth trying? If I recall correctly, the last time I tried this (quite a while ago), the only gang that would fire on you were the Cartel, though that shouldn't be a problem on Portland. Claude3Guy Posted May 23, 2009 Share Posted May 23, 2009 Do the Phone Mission (Big N' Vein) before Last Request from Salvatore. Traids will hate you, but they only uses Pistols (Rarely Uzi's). Well, I would of done, but I forgot the fact the Leones pushed your vehicle to the limit. I'm not starting a new file just to do it uninterrupted. glenster Posted June 14, 2009 Share Posted June 14, 2009 If you have the PC version and don't mind a cheat, an easy way is to mod the Rumpo into a super Rumpo. You can also use it to win Turismo, and, if you give percent submerged a -1, you can use it to get to the other islands: drive it off one part of a broken bridge/lift bridge, splash in the water, and appear on the other end of it. radioman Posted June 14, 2009 Share Posted June 14, 2009 If you're having problems with the mission because of the gangs hating you, and you don't want to use cheats, you can use Dem's Time Vault code tool to instantly pass the mission for you. it is available on Archive.org, since tfads.com is temp. down. just type in tfads.com from the archive.org site for the website to download from. If you just focus on the road and have enough speed you'll get past them without being blown up. Also, if you cheat to change Claude's looks until he's the guy in the brown suit, it actually will let you slip past the gangs without them shooting at you.
