Hanneswasco
Have you tried updating your drivers? Click here. Do you have installed the patches?
Physicalfire
I have used the latest drivers from ati.amd website with latest GTA patch and no success. I am now downloading drivers from Sapphire themselves to see if this fixes the problem. Thanks for the reply btw. Anyone else got an answer? fredi_
open Catalyst Control Center and see if you have "mipmap" (or something like that) in 3D options set on "high quality".
Physicalfire
Now the game freezes @ loading screen. The loading screen comes up and it goes through the characters, the music then stops and the loading continues, and continues and continues.... Won't load for anything. Rockstar should of tested their product before releasing. Cheers for help matey, I'll do a clean install of Windows after I put comp in other case. fredi_
good luck! oh btw. remember, if you'll get GTAIV.exe error during game, just leave it (DON'T click 'send' 'don't send' or close) and ALT+TAB back to game.

Do you suggest I install Vista 64? I have 4Gb ram and Windows XP only detects 3 - 3.5Gb. Another 512mb and since GTA says it's optimised for 64Bit. Physicalfire
Ahh nice, I already got this on disc from first date of release. Thanks for link though. I might dual boot but will have to format due to my file system. I removed my overclocking and GTA didn't crash, weird.
