Will we be getting patch 1.4 tomorrow?

My humble request: at least fix the pistol whipping. It doesn't seem right when you are approaching someone around the corner and not being able to use that option. I don't care if that is only the thing that will be in the next patch. At least do that for us r*!

Exactly ! Well, ofcourse more accurate optimisation is also needed, but I think we wont see any patches in the future...

They have, on numerous occasions after the release of the third patch, mentioned that certain errors will be fixed in a 'future' patch. Think about it, for games like Call of Duty, 6 or 7 patches are released, and let's not even talk about Command & Conquer.

I expect a 4th patch coming, sooner or later. Maybe in a month or so. I don't doubt Rockstar is working on another patch, to optimize the engine even more, and probably to deliver a better or an updated anti-cheating feature (or both - better and weekly updated).

 

It's just a matter of time. When you less expect it, it will come.

They say they have fixed all issues.

Its only in your heads that you think there are performance issues. The reality is that it will never be optimized, they dont have the money to do that.

I have been though quite lately getting a debug error where it will only be fixed by installing 3.0. and this error will not occur for a 3 or 4 day period. I am not being optimistic in them releasing a patch, unless they have come up with a SLI option. Windows Live might release a patch for their system once in a while.

You know it makes me laugh, when GTA 4 came out we had people going "Rockstar won't release a patch" and naturally Rockstar released a patch. Then they started saying "yeah well they won't release a second patch" and guess what ? Yep they released a second patch. Naturally the naysayers shut up after that didn't they .......... oh no wait they then started saying "Yeah well we won't get a third patch that's for sure", the only sure thing was we got a third patch.

 

So here we are again with people going "we won't get a fourth patch", we will get a fourth patch I imagine we won't get it any time soon since there is the newly discovered lack of recoil for mouse users which I think Rockstar are keen to sort out. I would probably guesstimate somewhere around the middle of June we might see a new MAJOR patch. There is an outside chance me might see the patch by the end of May but I wouldn't put money on that.

No doubt they'll just keep going until they are right. Has to happen at some point.

 

But personally I want a patch ASAP. Not to... "optimize" the game (e.g. expect Rockstar to wave a magic wand and make it run on old hardware), but to sort out the cheating again. I can't play an online game without someone spawning loads of tugs, or kicking other people with a kick mod, or taking control of everyone's car. It was one thing when people just had car spawner's, skin changers and god mode, but this is ridiculous.

That can't be, and will not be done by a patch... I mean it won't be implemented at all.. live with it..

 

Simply because it's not really possible, and if they'd do it, GTA IV would eat up more resources than it already does.

they'll just keep tinkering with it for a year or 2 then bring out a huge patch and call it GTA V
