GTA IV Graphic problem - reflections

Hello,

I haven't found this problem here, or anywhere else, so I hope you will help me.

Problem is I have weird problem with reflections and light in general. Every reflection and light has a little squares around it, like big pixels. I don't know how to describe it, my English isn't good enough for that.

I have that problem since 1.0 and now I have the newest patch and newest drivers for my graphic card.

It's not getting better with changing resolution or any other settings, I'm desperate.

 

My PC is:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+

RAM: 2046 MB

Graphic Card: ATI Radeon X1950 Pro, 512MB

And Windows XP Professional

In the Options you might have Reflections set to low.

I have, but changing it to very high is not changing anything. I've tried to change all options.

I have found some visualSettings.dat, even some visualSetting, which is openable in Excel, but that's all. I have no idea how or what to change.

Ok, I've found some more topics about this problem. I already know how to change the visualsSettings.dat, but that's only because of turning the bloom of.

In case I want to have the bloom ON and NOT pixilated is there any other solution? Seems problem is with my graphic card not the game. Do you think, any changes in Catalyst Control Center or something like that would help?

If you mean Anisotropic Filtering, then it's not helping. Anyways, thanks for a try mate.

I know this topic is at least a year old, but I've got the exact same problem. And at first I didn't have this, until I did a completely new install of Windows 7, changing from 32-bit to 64-bit. Now I don't think it's the bit-change. So it must be the different (newer) video driver version. Only problem is, I get a BSOD while installing any new version.

 

As stated, I'm now using Windows 7 (Home Premium) 64-bit, along with the ATI Radeon 3780 HD on an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3 Ghz.
