The generalisations in this forum is astounding I'm only talking about experience and fact rather than 'going with the crowd' as they say. The cheaters/modders ruin the game. Don't get me wrong I don't mind people who do it in Free Mode using mods like SUPER POWER and fast/flying mods. The game needs the 4 update along with an ANTI-CHEAT client, come on Rockstar I know 3 guys who coded their own anti-cheat client from scratch in a matter of weeks. AsRock+SD Posted May 21, 2009 Share Posted May 21, 2009 A different view on the matter. if cheaters got pushed to a separate server and not allowed to the fair server. would it be right to say that you a non cheater are not allowed on their server? I myself would join their server just to slap them around and video the whole thing for my website showing me going into a mod server and slapping the talentless punks around and showing them what real skill is. But if it was law/rule to prove you are a cheat before you can join those servers. then it would not be fair if I could interchange servers as well. So the way it is right now. Yeah it upsets me when i first find out someone just beat me with a cheat. But it is a great feeling when I hunt him and pwn him. You have to hunt them to chase them away. Funny shi that is. IF cheaters and none cheaters had seperate servers none cheaters would not want to go on those servers UNLESS they wanted to become cheaters. What i also find funny is with FREE MODE so that means to them their allowed to LMFAO. Or then their's the ones who call them selfs modders when their using other people hacks\ mods to take a advantage over others. My main issue is when people are using hacks\mods is that some take a advantage over others. I care less if there hacking cheating or what ever but what i do notice when people join with some hacks like car spawner that the AI cars disappear which effects my game. What it is is a lack of respect for others like who want friendly fire on but dont want to shoot at each other but shoot police which means they have to be carefull about NOT shooting a frienldy which is way much more fun than having friendly fire off. Write an email to rockstar where you appreciate their laggy game, but don't blame others. Last time I was playing car chase WITHOUT shooting. So we were all having fun, and I was using a handling mod Realistic Driving and I told them that I should be chasing since I'm a bit faster. They said they'll chase me. Soon they realise that I was faster, and I told them that I'm using a handling mod. Guy comes with RPG, I'm next to another guy and blows up our cars and himself, and I survived (cuz I forgot that my god mode was on) and they started whinning about I'm a cheater. NOW WTF? I was using god mode in a car chase where NO1 kills any1, so? Besides when with that mod my car breaks like hell. It deformates in a realistic amount, which means I crash my car at 100 Km/h it starts to smoke and my wheels starts blocking. (oh and they always crashed their car while I was speeding through traffic and of course they said I'm using car repair) All in all: Think before you write something... Pull your finger out. word, when i played counter strike 1.5 back in the day, the anti cheat system was created by united admins and awas updated on a daily basis, it was called cheating death and i can tell you that it wiped every god dam cheater out of counter strike for a long while (while cs 1.5 was active) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Nietzsche's God Posted May 22, 2009 Share Posted May 22, 2009 Recently I've played TDM and saw a guy flying around in a annihilator shooting infinite grenades instead of machine guns, instead of leaving the server, I decided to play around by trying to avoid the bombardment of explosion to see if I can kill him. I couldn't kill him because he had the godmode on. So instead of quitting, I'd ask him to turn it off, and he replied "why?" and I said at least give me the chance to kill you since you are using the cheat which give you the advantage. So he did and I quickly killed him with my m4. Shortly afterward while he was on foot, he had a rocket smg installed and failed twice on killing me and I was able to kill him (trust me, it isn't easy). I say that it was fun to play against cheaters as long as they turn off the godmode. I like to think them as special kids with special abilities since they obviously suck at playing the game. You see, I am not advocating that it is acceptable for cheaters to cheat, but just illustrating the example of a previous experience of mine of persuading a cheater to at least turn off the godmode and keep the other cheats. What I am saying is that I come to accept cheating as long as they give me the chance to kill them, and if they don't, then I leave the server since there isn't any way to avoid them, especially the ones who aggressively kill with the godmode on. You are writing as you are thinking that what I am writing has anything close to what you know of what point I am trying to put through. The point I am trying to make is that cheating is in the adbundance, and since there is no solution, sometimes you must flatter the cheater first before asking them to at least make it quasi-fair for the other players to have a chance to kill them. I am not going to be some kind of apologist for all the cheaters that do cheat, but just stating a small claim of a superficial victory for the players that does not cheat. And if he did crash out of the game or not, it doesn't matter since we are speaking about the possibilites - and that doesn't prove anything. Speculate all you want. I am not tolerating at all. I am doing right thing i like when we make sh*t eg mess in aiport with mods and ramps , but i hate when the modders or cheaters , rocket launch with pistol to the noobs(new guys) it makes me kind of sad because they bought a game and they do not receive what they were supoused to get. But i do not cheat in modes such as race or dm.....its just too nerd for real... so why are you using your stupid cheats in ranked matches dumb-ass? There's no challange, go play SP, if you wanna cheat. If you're using cheats the way it won't f*ck up others game, it's ok... Thank god I made some cheaters not shoot other by irritating them a bit I just love this way. You can make people quit or they'll listen to you, if you tell them not to kill others. Oh and a sad story: (lol not like that) so I was on a server 2 guys tried to kill me as soon as I joined. I wiped them out with my pistol, then they spawn near me get in car, trying to kill me again so I kill them again (this time with sniper) and then they initiated a kick vote against me that I was cheating. Cant we like sign a petition to Rockstar to make a proper anticheat or something!!! Or at least weekly updates to secure game files (at least for MP side). What he hell? Why does it happen so often that a dialogue were germans are in so often ends in nazi-paroles? I think the racism comes from somewhere else. THIS pisses me of. Noone knows what he is really talking about. And why do the mods accept those stuff? This is not the first time I recognize soething like this. Waynio Posted May 27, 2009 Share Posted May 27, 2009 Because of the cheaters and aggrivators who spawn crap into races I reverted back to my xbox 360 version, just a good job all pc online games have not failed like this else I would sell my good pc bits and just have an average pc. I just seriously hope rockstar and or microsoft address this mess with a regulary updated anti cheat soft, a one off patch will not cut it and they should know this. For the single player and the MP racing aspect I will only play on pc because I can see where I'm going without any blur or lag unlike the 360 version, all the 360 version is good for is none or little driving MP modes and the DLC, but I did enjoy the 360 version until I got the game for my nice pc the 360 version just looks so shabby now. Ranked Servers should auto-kick any and all mods regardless of type. This should be implimented in Patch #4. People who like to cheat and/or goof around have a place to go.
