Anyone who targets some other person by continuously harassing them online ought to get the book thrown at them. With that said I'm sure the bar is set pretty high. In order to be found guilty of cyber-bullying it need to be proved that you had intent to "coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person." So basically if you are not continually f*cking with a particular individual from day to day, I can't see this being used against general rudeness and douchebaggery online. So I could say for example, that Agent17 was a f*cking c*nt. And that'd be fine... But if I called him a f*cking c*nt day after day after day on all of his blog posts and youtube videos, and it's plainly apparent I'm specifically harassing him, then this law has the potential to be used in his defense. Quite right, but as long as someone takes offense to any content seen on the internet, than that person could easily make the case that it passes as cyber-bullying. In any case it should be fairly interesting to see how everyone will react once this law is passed, and more importantly how people will adjust. Most people on the internet have disrespected someone at some point, not unlike what epoxi said. It wouldn't surprise me if some people attempted to provoke an attack in order to get the assailant in trouble, this could potential get interesting. Whether real or Bots, they request quotes or adverts on channels rather then something helpful about the video they post on. BUT I had issues with people spouting off about Bret Michaels. He even went as far as hacking my myspace and MSPainting all of our pictures with dicks and other silly crap. To this day him and his girlfriend make videos for us on youtube basically slandering us, we just ignore it now.
